Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center is a great school for your child to grow and succeed as a student, This year will be my last year and i couldnt have gone to any better school. The Principal and teachers treat you with respect as well as not making you feel inferior. They work to make sure you are passing any classes, because their top priority is the student. The Principal, as well as, vice principal care deeply about education and each student being able to move forward when leaving. I recommend this school to any one and everyone.

I am the new principal at AAEC-Red Mountain and am proud of our schools AIMS scores, extra curricular activities, and the students and staff who work so hard everyday. Last year we had 32% of our students graduate with their Associates Degree from Red Mountain Community College, one week before graduating with their high school diploma. On average most students graduate with 40 to 50 transferable college credits at our expense. This year we are working on creating a community of character and I hope to ensure that future ratings will be positive. If you have any questions or concerns about our program, please give me a call and I will do everything I can to help.

Both of my sons graduated from this school. We were very excited to find a small school environment with caring faculty, staff, and administration. The level of academics, including college classes, prepared both of my sons to be successful at ASU. Great school!

I wish I knew about this school sooner the teachers and principals were just SUPER. Mr. Gless made us feel right at home and Mr. Snoddy answered all the questions we had for our daughters future educational goals. When she graduate she will not only have her high school diploma from one of the top high schools but an Associate degree from Mesa Community College that the school pays for. It is truly a small school environment NOT a big factory school that she came from where her classes were over 29-35 students in a class. Her teachers knew her by her name and not by a number this is truly a community with character school.

My daughter loves this school. She is getting a great jumpstart on college. She loves the smaller social environment. She says this is the happiest she has been in school.

This school was originally a compromise between my wife and I. She wanted our son to experience high school and I wanted our son to go straight to college after completing eighth grade. What a wise choice AAEC-Red Mountain has been. Our son has been receiving an excellent education at both the high school and Mesa Community College-Red Mountain. He went to Florida for a Microsoft competition. He has been out of town for FFA events. He competed in Robotics. He traveled to Washington D.C. for a week with a great group of students and teachers. He has attended many social events including the dances outside of school. He will be graduating with his Associates Degree from MCC just before he receives his high school diploma. This school is highly recommended if you want a quality education for your student.

This is by far my favorite school Ive ever been to, I cant even pick a favorite or least favorite class. The teachers take the time out of their day to do tutoring with you, and give us a fun way to learn.

The teachers are childish. English teacher talks about her life during class instead of teaching. Math teacher, Kyhn, belittles students. The other English teacher texts during class. Teachers act like high school girls. Administration lies, does not keep promises, has unprofessional behavior, so do the teachers, principal will stand you up for parent meeting. Level of study will not prepare your child for college classes. Teachers bad mouth students and parents to other students. English teacher, Ackerman, will degrade students during the class. This is not the only charter school that pays for college. Teachers and administration changes rules as they go during the year.

The current 2012 administration is a complete joke. The school fails to implement basic parental rights that the Arizona administrative code, Title 15-102 provides. If you are a parent and you have an issue be prepared for childish tantrums by the principal and her inability to respond. Too bad in theory they offer a solid program but fall short on implementation. Math teacher turn over seems to be every semester. Student scheduling is a night mare with too many errors to even count. On the bright side, they do have a few good teachers, especially for Vet Science.

If your used to public school teaching then you will be happy. teaching is terrible probably the worst school my daughter has been in. one teacher woukd only show videos another teacher would forget what she woukd assign and assign them another project another teacher woukd make them figure out problems themselves then show them what they did wrong. enviroment wasnt all that good either my daughter said she was sure she smelled marijuana in bathrooms. you might as well be going to a public school where they have extracurriculars.

AAEC-Red Mountain is a 9-12 Early College High School, independent public charter high school. We operate on an Early College High School model and are located next to the Red Mountain Community College campus. AAEC-Red Mountain is AdvancEd accredited and have earned an “A” rating from the Department of Education. The school is recognized for the success students have in concurrent enrollment at Mesa Community College classes and for outstanding programs with options in agribusiness, pre-veterinary science, and equine science, just to name a few.

I spent all four years of my high school career at AAEC Red Mountain. I enjoyed going there all of those years, although for a period of time we had some issues with some of the administration. Since Mr. Snoddy replaced our last principal, there has been a great improvement in communication with parents, teachers, students, and administration (which is incredibly critical in an education setting). This is an amazing school for students that would like to go into medical, veterinary science, or animal science careers. The veterinary science instructor (and certified veterinarian), Dr. Rice, is absolutely amazing and his classes were always fun. I was also in the equine program, which was a blast. Our school also competes in many of the FFA competitions every year.Naturally, most people will be looking at the Dual-enrollment side of the school. This is so absolutely worth it. In the time your student attends high school, they can also achieve at Mesa Community College. I was able to complete all of my classes and receive my AA degree and AGEC certificate a week before I graduated from high school. If you play your cards right and have the determination to do it, it is perfectly achievable. You can have 2 years of college done before youve even graduated from high school, and thats 2 years of college you dont have to pay at a university! So, I would most definitely recommend this school to just about anyone. Feel free to call or stop and ask questions, the executive assistant is very kind and friendly, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have (she has been incredibly helpful to us students in our time there)!

My experience at AAEC Red Mountain was incredible. I graduated in 2013 with my High School Diploma and Associates Degree along with 62 transferable credits. I was also offered many generous scholarships for universities all over the state and country. This school has so much to offer. Their close work with Mesa Community College gives the students a chance to explore new options, become involved in numerous programs, and learn in a way that traditional high schools could never facilitate. However, this sort of school requires a student who is independent, ambitious, and dependable. It is not for those who do not intend to pursue a four year degree. At the age of 14 I was responsible for making my own schedule, attending all of my college classes (without supervision), and completing coursework that was 6 school years ahead of me.In my experience I had seen many different kinds of students come and go from AAEC. College professors arent updating parents regularly. It is appealing for students to ditch classes and skip homework and ultimately fail their classes. It was easy for people to blame the administration- but they werent entirely at fault. This school requires a maturity level that these students did not posses; for myself, this autonomy allowed me to flourish. If you have a student that is talented and headstrong then send them to this school. AAEC offers its students the chance to pursue an Associates Degree TUITION FREE. That amounts to roughly $12,000.In summation, AAEC Red Mountain gave me so much more than a diploma. I would recommend this school to anyone. My parents made the right choice.

I am so happy that I sent my daughter to AAEC Red Mountain. I am sending my son there next year because my daughter had so much success there. My daughter graduated with her Associates Degree before she received her high school diploma. She graduated with honors from MCC and was awarded scholarships from every college in the state. She currently is on scholarship at ASU and AAEC made her so prepared that she got mostly As (only 1 B) this past semester at ASU. She landed a job as a Page for the AZ Legislature and is well on her way to a rewarding career. I will never forget her telling me the difference between a high school class and a college class. After her first college class experience she said, mom, college kids are really there to learn! She was so prepared and I will never regret my decision to send my kids to this school.
