I absolutely love this place! Every time I go in there I get a nice haircut its a good haircut the instructors make sure they look over the haircut and make sure everything is great. Blanca was absolutely wonderful and checking over my haircut and my beard cut. The girl that I had today Im sorry I dont know her name was absolutely wonderful she did a great nice fade thank you

Best barber school in Mesa. I have 4 sons and it never takes long to get them in a chair and the students are really good with their cuts.

The student that cut my hair did a wonderful job and I tipped him accordingly, but when he was finished he asked for my hair to be checked by who he said was the owner of the shop. She came over disregarding what a great job he did. Her knowing better, being a seasoned barber and all. started going to town on my once great hair. She took no time to ask how I wanted my hair. She took it upon herself to do what she knew to be best. Needless to say I wont be giving my business to this barber school.If the owner of the shop is fixing hair like this. You may as well go to great clips.

If your considering this school as a student DO IT!! I just finished and it is an absolute quality drivin program. You have a master barber walking you through every hair cut from start to finish. It was a terrific experience with the highest quality instructors.

My boys love getting their hair cut at the barber school. We NEVER have to wait long for a chair & their fades are always on point. NOT to mention the price I$ AMAZING 8$ cant beat that.

These guys are great. It takes great leaders to teach not just the skill but simply courtesy respect and kindness. I ask for a haircut that is rare and when I leave it is perfected because the leaders are skilled snd teach and then check the final result. What a blessing for folks who can’t afford a standard cost haircut, thank you guys keep up the good work.

I really enjoy coming here to get my haircut. The cuts that I receive are always very good and exactly what I want. The people are also very friendly, and the price is not outrageous. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you would like a nice haircut and a friendly atmosphere.

If youre a student this is the best school around. You will get a lot of practice and the instructors have the best patience in the world. I didnt even know how to turn on a pair of clippers, let alone use them. Well I ended up doing over 800 plus haircuts in 10 months. If youre able to get in this school consider yourself lucky. They typically have a waiting list.

Easily one of the best experiences I have had at a barber shop, I was greeted by the students when walking in, the location is very well kept and clean. The Teacher Manny is very professional with his clients and makes sure that every haircut is completed to his high standards. I had Jacqueline and Connie cut my hair and would absolutely recommend their work!

The haircut? Clean. The service? On point. The prices? Cheap. My barber, Connie is the best dang barber I’ve ever had. She’s positive, funny, and gives a pro level cut. Come here if you wanna look and feel good.

Great barber school. Been a student here for a few months, and I have to say that the instructors are some of the best teachers ever. If you are looking to become a barber or need a haircut - I recommend this place. The instructors are master barbers and check each cut personally.

I have been going to both shops for years now and sadly today was my last visit. Its a ashame to see something Manny has worked so hard to create just see it lose customers because of the arrogance of his younger brother Danny. Ill stop by for a burrito or hot dog but Ill never get a haircut there again

I have been going to the school for haircuts the last few years and yesterday ,sat 2/23, I experienced one of the best haircuts done bye Connie who is the student ,did a wonderful job and took the initiative to even give me a shave which I didn’t ask for , but she was waiting on her instructor to check out the job she did and was very happy with Connie & when i go back in a month, she will be the one . The other students that I have had , never took the initiative to do more than just what I wanted, so my hats🎩go to Connie for a wonderful experience and looking forward to seeing you again soon .keep up the good work

Good place but my sons haircut took a hour and a half, way too long for a simple medium fade. If a student just started the program yesterday pls dont let him or her start cutting a customers hair today. And the smell of sewage is bad sometimes

I have gone to both the Dobson and university Barber Schools. I do not mind the students cutting my hair, but the instructors and owners seem disconnected to the patrons. The lady instructor at Dobson seem flighty in her interactions with her students and never seems professional. Her husband Manny at the University location never seems most welcoming or friendly when customers come in and he always plants himself in the back room until it is time for a hair check. All the students who are not cutting hair sit around-sleeping, on cell phones playing games (should they not be studying in their spare time until their name is called up.? I never see either location very crowded and so I wonder how much experience the students are getting. I go because its cheap, but service is horrendous. It is understood that it will take upto an hour to get your hair cut, but should it take near an hour just for you to get called up to a seat-That then becomes two hours (especially it could happen at the Dobson location. I went today and had to wait til the students got all their supplies put in drawers etc. If you open at 10-then everyone should be ready by 10 for the customers--but it never is that way. I have gone to Dobson location to be their by 10 a few times-and it was not even opened--Does not tell me they are teaching the students on time behaviors.

I have my go to barber downtown Phoenix, but needed to get cleaned up before a trip. I was a little hesitant to check it out but Im Glad I stopped in. Got right in, it was clean, they do a good job and have an eye for detail, not to mention ridiculously cheap. Great place to get a clean, cheap cut.

Horrible experience sat there for 15 to 20 mn no one even acknowledged me n there was only a couple customers there students barbers or what ever kept lookn at my all weird just an all out bad experience

With all hands on, and side by side instructions by the instructors Blanca and Manny Ramirez youre guranteed to get the BEST Quality training out there. Offering $6 haircuts and $6 shaves you are sure to get plenty of practice. Before enrolling at MBS I had minimal experience in cutting hair. But with the help of my Instructor Blanca, I am proud to say that I am now a Licenced professional and currently working Vs Barbershop in Chandler, Az. If you are looking for the BEST Training offered out there, look no further pick up the phone and give them a call or drive on down and see for yourself. I promise they wont dissapoint!

They didn’t listen to what I had requested in any way. Ended up with an awful and unfinished haircut that had to be fixed by a different shop. Yeah I wouldn’t recommend it.

Went here to get my son a hair cut and the guy in charge told me it was a 20 minute wait and he would call when the next barber was available. Needless to say I never got that call and its about 2 hours later. Let take my son to a real baber.
