Bill and Carla are awesome instructors. They give frequent and honest blunt but necessary feedback but that’s exactly what people need if you’re serious about acting. The best acting training I’ve ever received. It’s very personalized so be a sponge and absorb what’s being taught and you’ll see the results. Also it was just a lot of fun being there and learning.

From the moment you meet Bill and Carla, you are treated as family. Bill pays close attention to all elements of the activities/skits, so he can not only engage constructive conversation with the actor but also guide your own thinking. He doesn’t just tell you how to improve based on the performance, but asks questions; challenging your honest viewpoint. He teaches with the goal for the actor to hone their skills and bring the character into correlation with your own personality, so you become comfortable with being the character. I have studied with other coaches and studying with Bill and Carla has helped me enhance my skills. I highly recommend their classes.

I have been taking Bills class consistently every week since January 2017. The very first day in his class I knew I was in the right place. Bill is very good at making actors think and getting you to let everything go. What I like about Bill is that once he finds that you have hit a plateau, he raises the bar so you never feel like you are spinning your wheels. I sought out the Howey Acting Studio because I was looking to build confidence in my abilities and to become better at the craft of acting; one cannot be a good actor let alone a great actor without confidence. I cant imagine not training with Bill & Carla Howey. Their training has pushed and stretched me in ways I hadnt experienced anywhere else. They dont just hand out participation awards, because that wouldnt benefit any of us who are trying to make this a real career. I appreciate that part so much as its made me really listen and apply the lessons Bill has for me each week.Ive been training with him for a little over two years and have noticed a big difference in audition requests and bookings.
