Hands down the best horseback riding experience. From the love they showed to their horses and the courtesy they has for us guests , it’s no surprise they have a 5 star on google reviews !We booked a last minute ride and they were so accommodating! We were able to ride to the Salt river and mike answered every single question I had about the region from the different cactuses to the history of the area ! Absolutely amazing experience , we saw a pack of wild horses crossing the river and went through a beautiful forest where they nicknamed it Sherwood forests.Finally , they were so patient with my girl who was a first time rider (a bit nervous at first) and by the end of the ride she didn’t want to leave her horse ! Shanon was amazing and so patient. We are planning on coming back to Arizona just to see them and have this experience again !

Mike + Shannon are warm + welcoming. It was an amazing 2 hour sunset ride and we got to see wild horses, ride on some beautiful desert terrain and even splash around in the water....it was an epic experience!

My husband and I went to Arizona for our honeymoon. We were seeking a real western adventure, far from urban noise. We are both horse lovers and have previous experience with horses, and Az Trail Riding was perfect for us. It was an amazing adventure and experience. First day, we went on a 2h sunset ride with Shannon. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back 2 days later for a half-day ride with a small group. We went through all sorts of terrains, and discovered beautiful views of Arizonas wilderness. Shannon and Mike are extremely friendly, fun, and they love their horses. Also, we were taught how to lasso. It was an unforgettable experience, and for a very fair price. Would recommend to anybody!

This is a great place for riding regardless of level. Well trained horses who are taken care of. I was planning a vacation to a dude ranch and wanted to brush up for more advanced riding before I went because I hadnt ridden very much in a couple years. I purchased a 4 pack of lessons from AZTrail Riding and was completely comfortable on my riding vacation and was the only one of my group that passed the lope check on the first try.

Very down to earth and personable. Willing to let you ride at your level and not hold you back. We had a great time!

Made last minute plans for my wifes birthday to go horseback riding. I called Mike and Shannon the morning of and they were able to fit us in and were very accommodating. We got to ride for a bit then take the horses into the water to cool off then ride some more. Shannon was our guide and she was very nice. Everything was great and I highly recommend to pick them if you want to go for a ride!

Mike was recommended to get some lessons and saddle time for some trail riding lessons. Mike and Shannon are great people and patient instructors. I have two lessons and two great trail rides. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Phoenix area looking for lessons or to explore the desert by means of horseback.

Highly recommend for an experience and memory of a lifetime. My 8 and 11 year old grandchildren had almost no experience and Mike was an amazing,patient and knowledgeable teacher. We rode through beautiful country, rode in the salt river and saw over 50 horses from the wild herds of salt river.we did the sunset moonlight ride. You will get far more than your moneys worth, amazing ride.

They really know what they’re doing here. I’ve been learning a lot from Shannon and Mike. They really do care about what they do, and it’s nice to see a place that actually takes care of their horses.

Rode the horses to a cool western bar and rode back under a full moon at night. Couldnt get any better. Loved the experience! The guides are fun/friendly and great price too! Cant wait to go back.

Mike was our guide and was great at explaining the basics and making sure we knew what we were doing before hitting the trail. we will definitely be back.

The place is located in a picturesque location, is easily accessible, and well-regarded locally. It provides a full range of services, boarding, feeding and care, lodgings for visitors, and of course lessons in riding to all age groups. I highly recommend this place for a great horse learning experience.

I live in Mesa with my fiance. My mom was visiting. We took a ride into the beautiful desert. I have never ridden a horse before and they were so helpful and personable. I will definitely recommend!

I went out on a 2 hour trail ride with my sister and husband and we had an amazing ride! They treated us great and customized the ride for us. My sister and I are experienced riders and they allowed us to canter the horses in the wash!! Prices are fair and they gave us an experience we will never forget. Definitely recommend!!

Mike at AZTrailRiding is awesome! Ive been on his trail rides dozens of times, and have been taking riding lessons from him for 10 months now. Ive gone from confident beginner to a very confident intermediate. I ride for fun, so Im not showing or doing any sports; I do it for the love of casual pleasure riding and working with the horses. Mike has catered to my style and will give lessons in his round pen or well take the lesson on a trail ride. He is very flexible and will do his best to cater to your needs and interests too. He makes you feel like a part of his family and will teach you everything from equine equipment, husbandry, to training and riding. His prices are also reasonable. His horses are all awesome and very well trained. So far the only horse Ive fallen from was not one of his! Ive brought friends with me to lessons and theyve been impressed so much that now theyre taking lessons as well! If youre looking for a casual, no-pressure riding experience with plenty of personalized attention for a decent price, I strongly recommend contacting Mike. You will not regret it! :D

Our family used them for a 2 hour ride and it was perfect. Very personable guides that are all about the horse life and take great care of the horses. You ride actual horses that are very well trained opposed to the nose to butt boring trail rides and they offer any custom packages you can dream up. They would be my first choice for anyone looking to go on a fun horse adventure.

Guide was the owner and very knowledgeable about the place and horses. If I remember correctly, most is not all the horses are rescued.

We were out here visiting my Cuz Little Wesley Royse and Victoria Barber Lewis. They took us to meet Shannon and Mike. I have never met 2 more genuine, happy people that truly have a passion for what they do. My 13 year old daughter felt an instant connection to Shannon. The next day they went on a desert ride and that was in June. My daughter has not stop talking about That beautiful ride and Shannon. Needless to say my daughter loves horses, always has. We live in the city- Cincinnati to be exact. My daughter was happier then I have ever seen her. Shannon and Mikes love for what they do radiates off them. They are true horse people and love sharing that with others.

Mike will take care of you. His horses are great and not dead in the head. He makes sure your comfortable and willing to teach you as you go or cater to more experiences riders. Depending on your riding level he wi customize for you. I have been going multiple times with him for a year now with various people and he has been outstanding. He has always tried to fite in regardless how busy and always friendly and understanding, I will not go to anyone else. You will be happy!!

The owners sure do know there stuff when it comes too the horse life .. you want memories that will last book a ride with these guys . Skies the limit for having a great time ..
