I am currently enrolled in Mariah Mathiss weekend EKG class. Coming in with no knowledge in medicine and this being completely new, I was doubtful of my ability to understand the lecture with such a short amount of time. However, Mariah made it easy to grasp using tools such as powerpoints, videos, review games and hands-on experience. She is a wonderful teacher! Very knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. It is bittersweet. 10/10 would do it again.

I just completed my EKG course at Arizona Medical Institute. I had a great experience with this school starting from day one with admissions until the last day of the class. Dont expect this course would be easy without studying every day and reviewing over and over. I have to say that my instructor, Mariah Mathis, helped me understand and succeed in this course. She is the best at teaching the material, and incorporating real-life scenarios from her experience, allowing students to benefit from seeing how course content plays out in real life. Mariah is very passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable that she will answer every question her students have and make sure they fully understand the material before they finish the course. I feel so fortunate to have been placed in her class.

I completed my CNA program with AMTI & would definitely recommend it to anyone thats willing to commit to a few weeks of hard work. The program is fast paced but if you study & stick with it, you will succeed. It definitely feels like the course is geared towards those wanting to go into hospice, long term care, etc. but I always knew I would be going the acute route after graduation - I am now working as a nursing assistant in the ICU at a hospital here in the valley.I dont know what these reviews talking about having their money stolen are all about, its made very clear from the beginning that if you cannot keep your grades up & be there for lectures/instruction, you will not receive a refund. My only comment for improvement is that all the instructors get on the same page, we left a lot of classes confused because one instructor would tell us one thing & another would tell us otherwise.Overall Im thankful for AMTI!

The instructors Mariah Mathis and Tim Kinlen both do an incredible job explaining the material and work hard to make sure that everyone in the class can succeed. Real world applications and experience are both brought to the table by the instructors. The course is only a month long and I feel that it provides a great quality and value for someone who is looking to get into the medical field. Their final is suddenly full of trick questions (4 multiple choice questions with 2 correct answers, but only one is best) Need 80 to pass, after getting 79 on the final they tell her she can pay $500 more to take the final again, even tho she maintained a steady average of 96% throughout the entire course. Attend this school now lack of communication, they will take your money with no problem but will not tell you if you do payment plan you cant have your certificate until you pay in full, if you have to make up clinic hours you will be placed on waiting list until they get to your name. They will not tell you that you can only fail the final twice. If you fail you will have to pay an additional fee of 500, which requires you to retake the whole class before you can attempt their final exam again. Also their final exam is not the state certification exam its the final for their school. So you will still have to pay to take state exam as well. This is a horrible experience 😢

She does her job with outstanding quality and the staff in general is all there to help you. My class also is very open and everyone gets along extremely well, ive gotten 90-97% on all my tests with little to no studying because the lectures (although a little drawn out at times) cut to the point and give you only the information you need. its a jam packed 3 weeks, but only 3 weeks at that. this program typically can take 6-9 months if done regularly, and here they prepare you for the state board within 3 weeks, and honestly they do it very well. in a god honest review, this school is worth your time and money, alot of people ive talked to hear say they just came into this to see what it was about and they love it. very engaging, fun, and a personal look at what it takes to start a nursing career.

She put tournequet on wiped the site improperly and then w/o warning stuck in needle & after fishing several times & lots of pain later, she stopped & went for another vein w/ a new needle. After 2 attempts & no success she stopped & said she would have someone else come in and try. Soon there after Tyler came in & he too looked young I asked him where he went to school. He said AMTI & was very proud of the great teachers & staff. He would recommend ATMI to anyone. He did all the right stuff, the right steps & did the whole procedure correctly. He stuck me 1 time no pain and got blood right away. He did a great job, no pain & wonderful bedside manners! Great job Tyler & AMTI!!!PS he was the one to get my blood next morning as well and again did great. 1 stick tyler you rocked!!! Thank you!!!

AMTI is the greatest school ever. Their customer service is out of this world. I never experienced a hiccup in how they treated me. From day one when I met Dave it was outstanding. But everyday whatever I needed I was well taken care of. From Carlo to Daphne to Simone to Nina to Jim to Miss Pat to Miss Lawanna to Miss Teddy to Miss Cindy. All great people. They even allowed me to get my books a month ahead of time. It allowed me to go through the material once before class so it wasnt all brand new to me. I would suggest that for any prospective student. AMTI is the way to go. Your money will not be wasted.

Missed my clinicals because i had to work. the staff there assured me that i would be able to finish the program. All i needed was just the board exam and the clinicals. In order to take the board exam, you need to go to clinicals but because of the conflict between my job and the times they had down, i chose my job. I needed the money. The staff said i would be put on the waiting list which should be 5-6 weeks. so i waited that amount of time. I called them and asked them about the waiting list, they told me they were filled and would call me when they had an open spot. so im waiting and waiting still no call from them but i do get a call from a debt collection about the remaining balance on the account. My account is closed and i cant go back to the school to finish the two things i needed. apparently it says ive already finished the program. Now i have to pay for a program i didnt even finish. i wish i never would have went to that school.

This is an unaccredited sham of a school and its con man owner Jim Dillard (who prior to opening this school sold used furniture and pyramid schemes). He took my tuition money and I ended up with NOTHING. No DIPLOMA or ANYTHING else. This is despite me finishing the phlebotomy course and passing all the tests. The ONLY thing I did WRONG was refusing to stick needles in a helpless psyche patient blindly without finding a vein first, on the very FIRST day of my externship. For this, I was fired from the externship by Jim Dillard and his special buddy who also ran the lab I was sent to for my externship. I was told by Dillard how many times do I have to tell you? You are a guest there, do whatever the hospital tells you to do. Dillard could care less about the students or the patients. He only cared about keeping the externship site happy so he could contnue sending people there for externships.I never received another externship or a refund of my tuition or a diploma despite finishing the entire course, passing all my exams and submitting myself to repeated blood draws and drawing several dozen blood draws himself.

Go somewhere else. Run away while you still can. Sub-standard and dishonest school. They reel you in with low monthly payments for their programs and then you are stuck big time.

This school was dishonest. The owner threw tantrums on campus. Jim, the owner was very crazy and difficult to work with. I would not recommend dealing with Arizona Medical Training Institute.

Good little school. The only down side was this chubby Cheeto puff name Mike that works there had to be my Phlebotomy Instructor. He was unprofessional when I was there. I hope they fired that cheeto puff wearing scrubs
