I have never attended the school, but getting information from somebody over the phone is like pulling teeth. The website lacks a lot of basic information that other educational institutions are not afraid to post online for potential future students to view. For example, tuition and scheduling of courses.. daytime program? Evening program? Basically, the most general information one would need to make an informed decision of whether or not their program would work for them. The Admissions Representative will tell you that you must attend an informational session held on Wednesdays at the most inconvenient time of 3:00 PM to speak with someone else regarding this basic information. Red flags all around the 90 second conversation I had with an Admissions Rep.

I just called. The guy gave me no information. He kind of gave up on me after I told him I had a full time job. He told me I was not going to be successful if I worked full time. I learned nothing about the program I was interested. There was just long awkward silences. Also the 20 month program I was interested in was 50000. Thats crazy. I didnt even pay that much for my undergrad. I read all the negative reviews about this school, but I wanted to see for myself. I can confirm that they are horrible at customer service. They give you no info. No help. I understand that school and working a full time job is difficult. You dont need to tell me or discourage me. If im calling, its because Im willing to put in the work. The least you could have done is help me. I would have done whatever I needed to to to be successful. I can do homework at work, I can request a schedule change to accommodate school. Just give me the info I need. Your job is not to tell me what I can and cant accomplish. Or to discourage me.

Pima is an amazing school although very expensive. The teachers really care about you. It’s amazing. Even during difficult courses they stood by my side and guided me in the right direction. Without their guidance and compassion I wouldn’t have been able to graduate. Ms.Young is by far the BEST TEACHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!! GOD BLESS PIMA!!! I wish I could go back and study my nursing degree but it’s just too expensive.

Pima Medical Institute is a fantastic facility. Not only does it offer a wide array of medical fields to choose from, the schools amenities and learning environment offer top of the line equipment and real life scenarios for the students to learn from. Brian Cline the admissions facilitator went above and beyond explaining what it would be like to be a Pima student and how achievable the career you want and deserve is attainable with the Pima Institute. With Pima being a private institution it really allows the students to have a more personal learning experience with many resources to help during their education path such as free tutoring and guidance from Brian and any of the faculty at their finger tips. Our tour of the school went above and beyond expectations letting us know this was the school that was right for my sister and she enrolled immediately with much ease from the staff as they are so knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a quality education to start a career and the next part of their new life, with the feeling of a supportive family environment.

Lets just say that I am very disappointed with this school. Absences count for the weekend, they only allow 3 days of grievement and that includes the weekend. With Covid, you think theyd be more helpful if youve got a cold but thats not the case, you get deducted for being sick. Oh and blackboard is a mess, once I am done, I wont be looking back to recommend this school, go elsewhere, im only going to finish because I have kids I need a consistent job for.

I graduated from PIMA back in 2017 from the Medical Assistant Program. I am considering returning for the RN program but reading these reviews is very discouraging! Back then, I had the best instructors who truly cared about you and your journey to success. I truly hope the RN instructors are just as caring and committed :)

They tried to use online classes. They were in NO way prepared for this, and their online platform didn’t work correctly. It’s impossible to get in touch with your instructor (at least it was impossible to get ahold of mine). You are able to get in touch with someone from the school, and they’ll TELL you that they spoke to your instructor and that they responded, but that’s doesn’t mean it’s true. Their sole purpose it to watch you fail, because they make it impossible to get the help that you need on this little campus. If you like being unable to contact your instructor throughout the entire course, unable to properly use the “blackboard” (where you do all of your online classes), and being treated like you’re nothing but a paycheck, then by all means... PMI is the place for you!

I have been in the nursing program since spring of 2018, throughout the whole program i have had to deal with new instructors taking over classes they have no business teaching, lack of available resources to voice my issues, lack of tutoring in a class everyone is failing with a remark of we do not have any available faculty that can help, and utter lack of empathy. I understand needing instructors but do not risk my future and graduation by allowing inexperienced instructors try to teach a class especially when the last semester has no room for failure. currently over half the class is failing due to an inexperienced teacher, no support for current students, and constant excuses from staff like three faculty members reviewed the test and concluded it is fair then change grades because a question was unclear. This program also treats the students like children, always talking down to us, and openly complains of other cohorts. This school was my first choice because i would get done in half the time but i didnt foresee the pure lack of structure, lack of experienced instructors, and lack of compassion that is a part of this school. Do not risk your future with this school, I openly urge you to seek a different nursing program!

I really enjoyed the campus in Phoenix when I toured it with my daughter when she was about six months old last year. I was thinking about going here for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, but the reviews are a bit troublesome. I suppose Gateway through MCC is the right choice since it is cheaper. If the reviews are true and the staff here only care about money then it sounds like some issues need to be addressed and changes need to be made.

DONT GO HERE, PLEASE!!! The most used car lot college Ive ever encountered. They tell you to get a student loan to cover the cost, then AFTER you do that, they let you know that your student loan wont cover the first or second semester, you have to pay that out of pocket, which is an extra $10,000 or so... The old settle on a price, then start selling them warranties and paint sealants bit. The reason they want so much up front is because they want their money for the ENTIRE program up front, then they dont care if you pass or fail.. they got their money! Please take my advice and go to a real college, not a used car college!

I got my pharmacy tech certification from Pima in 2015. I externed at a pharmacy, got hired there and am still employed with them. Ive never worked in a pharmacy at the time, yet I felt like i did, which proves Pima did a good job. Thinking of going back for RN program. Keep in mind though you have to be willing to finish your assignments and study hard. Its fast paced.

Well to start off I never have attended this school and never will. Went in to see an advisor with my boyfriend because he was interested in a program they offered. It should be a warning when the waiting room for a school consist of a group of chairs in the middle of a room centered around a TV the loops an advertisement as to why they are the best. But that was only the start. As my boyfriend and I sit down with an advisor, she turns to make small talk with me about what I do. I told her I am starting my nursing program at chamberlain college of nursing (which I am beyond excited to attend) and she washes an extremely unprofessional disgust facial expression insulting me. Then continues to apologize for her facial reaction in which I am beyond shocked to being stuck in this room with a woman who continues to explain her nursing program and how it is #1 in the state, trying to sell me to their school while we are there trying to get information for another program for my boyfriend! Never have I ever heard of this nursing program and nor will I ever step foot back onto this campus. I assure you not a dime of our money or time will be contributed to this school. I value my education and respect...This school is a joke. BEWARE just as painful as as being stuck in a room with a bad car sales men when walking into this school.

I didnt go to the institution and now I never will. I checked out a program they offered a while back and the advisor tried really hard to convince me that I wanted to do something else. Um, no. I know myself better than you know me. The field I was being pushed to pursue is the opposite of what I ever want in life. Now, I decided, a year later that maybe that was a one time thing so I contacted to school again about a different program. I scheduled a meeting, but due to circumstances that I cant control, I had to cancel. I now am getting harassed by the school. Im getting 3-4 phone calls a day. I just got a call today and its a holiday! The number is now blocked and I wont be contacting them again. If you want to look into an Allied Health program, go to Arizona College.

I was really looking forward to going to this school. I met with a career specialist and she talked me into going in different direction than I originally intended. I left the meeting feeling excited to get everything going. I sent her an email of my unofficial transcripts, she responded saying one of the unofficial transcripts was a grade card and not what she needed. I contacted my former school and they assured me it was the unofficial and not a grade card. I wrote her four emails and never heard back from her, left her a voicemail, and also a voice mail to another career specialist making mention of not hearing from the person I was working with for a month now. That person also failed to contact me. Im sure Pima is a great school, but based off of this interaction...or lack of, I opted to check out another school.

Graduated from there. Aside from 2 great teachers that I absolutely loved - the school is garbage. All they care about is money. I have tons of proof of that statement. I have saved 4 people from enrolling here and I will continue to steer people down a different educational path. Trust me when I say- all they want is your tuition. Biggest mistake that I will be paying for my whole life nearly.

I went Pima 3 years ago at the Renton location for their Medical Assistant program. I have recently been thinking about going back to go through the Respiratory therapist program and I will be living in Phoenix. Looking at these reviews are very surprising as I had a great experience at the school that I had went to. Really disappointing since I was told it would be easier to go back to the school for another program since I had already been to it. Not surprising as these reviews of the staff are not making me want to even try to call the school for assistance in finding a program to get into. If any one has gone through that program and would like to share with me their experience please let me know, or would like to share any other school suggestion.

I love to learn and I’ve never been one to complain about school or my teachers but I want to warn those who are looking into Pima’s Nursing program. My advice to you is don’t do it!! This school is hard and I expected it to be but it is harder in ways that I hadn’t foreseen. They will do everything they can to get you to pass because it makes them look good but it’s at the expense of your soul and livelihood. I followed the rules and yet I was always getting yelled at or being talked down to, the whole two-year experience was absolutely miserable. I just kept my head down and counted down the days until I graduated. I survived and I’m so glad I’ll never have to walk down those halls again!

This school doesn’t even deserve any stars. The advisors are a joke and try to belittle you. Their jobs are to help students academically, not discourage them. I went to speak to an advisor about attending the radiology program and instead she tried tried to pursuade me to do the pharmacy tech program. She truly discouraged me in thinking I was incapable of doing what I wanted to do. I am grateful I decided not to pursue that school, it must have been a sign not to go there and I would have been disappoint in myself if I gave them my money. Along with that they will harass you to go back so don’t give them your number or email. Also don’t do the pharmacy tech program, it isn’t worth it

Good teaching, but if you are not 110% sure of your choice, or drop for any reason, the will rip you off as much as they can. Read the contract, I took 17% of my classes and they charged me for 30% which costed thousands of dollars and they didnt even let me take the last 13% or tell me that was an option. All I had done up to that point was study a book - and paid thousands for it.

To be honest, it’s really discouraging to see all of these poor reviews for PMI. I just have to believe that people only tend to write reviews when they’re bad, not when they’re good. I attended PMI in 2016 and I had such a successful educational journey, I was hired on during my externship, and to this day I’m still doing the work I love. People don’t understand that you’ll only get out what you put into something, so if you’re putting in half the effort, you’ll see half the results. You can’t expect advisors and teachers to do 100% of the work for you, you enrolled into school for a reason. This isn’t elementary school, you are adults. I’m speaking for myself and possibly many other Pima Medical Insititute graduates that we put in hard work and received amazing results. They offer quick programs at convenient hours of the day that fit to your needs, not many credible schools can offer that, so of course it comes at a price. PMI schedules you with advisors to set up payment plans before you even enroll into your program and none of it is “rushed”, moreso encouraged. They want to see you succeed just as much as you want to! I had an amazing instructor, hands on learning, gained a lot of experience, and soaked in everything my externship had to offer at an amazing hospital. If you’re considering Pima Medical, you can’t go wrong unless you go into it thinking everyone is just out to suck you dry. Optimism leads you to the graduation stage!

The career service adviser Stephanie Esterline was horrible. She was rude, disrespectful, and wouldnt help me out the way I wanted. Don’t waste your time applying here. I spent 6 months trying to get into the OTA program and was denied 2 times. I did everything in my power to be accepted and was still denied TWICE. I did observation hours, passed the enternace exams, studied up on OTA and Pima, took off work to do the interview and they sent me a email denying me for THE dumbest reasons. I thought maybe my second time applying (only needing half a point more to be accepted) i’d For sure get in. I was sadly mistaken. I thought the admissions team and directors would see my hard work, dedication and consistency trying to get into the program twice, unfortunately they chose not to notice. Apparently this school thinks they are Harvard law school or something. Don’t give them your time or energy... choose another school who will actually encourage you and support your dreams .

I graduated from PMI in 2004, back-office MA. I didnt get to graduate with my class because of their scheduling mistake. My externship was split in two, with a gap between, at three different places. I was ok with this, as it worked out, except for me having my graduation with strangers.. However, the last place I did my externship had ONE staff MA, and even the front office staff were temps. I had no on-going help whatsoever. I went back to PMI after being fired - yes, for a mistake they wouldnt teach/help me learn. The problem was not exactly PMI, but they dont care who they send the students to... When I went back to PMI to get help finding a placement somewhere else, as they had advertised, they sent me to a resume writing class, charged me more money, and left me high-and-dry. I had loved my instructor, and I would like to say my on-campus time was beneficial... but after FINALLY paying off my loan for a vocational degree that I never used, and they never followed through to help me to protect their reputation. If you are going to school there, be aware that all they will do is teach you. Do Not believe they will help you once you are done.
