⛵️Ted and his crew are wonderful instructors. They take great care of and encourage you. Started with him a few years back having never sailed before and now love it. Relaxing on the water offer, great for ladies night, date night, or family time once youve passed your class. Take a class alone or with a friend and youll have a blast. There is an amazing and reasonably priced membership program where youve access to a fleet of boats all summer during open hours. Show up, take a boat for a few hours, hit the shore after or before sailing for a meal at many Uptown restaurants within walking distance. Join the social group Three Sheets to the Wind 😉.⛵️ Sailing, takes me away, to where I want to go 🎵

I was sailing as far up wind as I could when a gust arrived. I released the main sheet, but the jib sheet slipped from my other hand and water crept over the leeward rail. I tried to turn further upwind, but the cleated jib defied the rudder. As I lunged for the lost sheet the lake poured into cockpit. I vaulted over the windward rail to stand on the centerboard, just to see it slip into its well as the boat turtled. I was right in the middle of Lake Calhoun, unable to right it. Suddenly, a rescue boat! Three saviors hooked a line to the side stay and my mast and sails reappeared. They towed the swamped boat to the dock and pumped out the water. Add 3 more stars from the MSC staff; Nathan, Lizzie and Julia!

Hes back for more!!!!Our grandchildren come back to MN for the summer as they love our cabin (father is active duty Air Force) and time together. Our oldest grandson LOVES any water activity, so a friend highly recommended he take sailing classes. So happy we took his advice! The summer of 2016 we enrolled Bernie, age 8, in the beginning Opti program for the morning and afternoon sessions. He loved the class! He listened carefully during on land instructions which were then put into practice when in the Opti. Without realizing it he sharpened his listening skills, had to work with and cooperate with the other sailors in his boat - such as who got to control the rudder and who controlled the sails - all while gaining confidence in his own ability - while having fun.He was very sad last summer when his time at home did not allow him access to more classes. However, we had been lucky enough to find a used Opti which we bought for our cabin as he so loved sailing. He was able to take out the Opti all by himself at age 9, using the skills he had learned the previous summer. It was very cool to watch him sailing by himself or taking his younger siblings with him. This summer he has more time at home so we have already enrolled him in the first session of intermediate Opti classes. He is so excited to learn more skills! Sailing encourages his love of the outdoors and continues to build his confidence in making quick decisions through the knowledge he has learned in class. Yes he has made mistakes while out sailing, but he has figured out what he did wrong, due to the great instructors he has had. He will only continue to improve his sailing skills through the very competent instructors at MSC. We cannot say enough about what a great program this is!
