We love The Watermelon Patch! My 2 year old has learned so much in the year she has been going here, I couldnt be more pleased. We also love the summer program! They take advantage of their great play yard and the kids have fun in the sand and water! Never a dull moment over at The Patch!

Our family is SO thankful for The Watermelon Patch Preschool! My son attended year-round from right after his 1st birthday until he turned 3. All of the teachers and staff are so caring. I never once had to worry about him while he was in their care! I would HIGHLY reccomend them.

Words cannot express what The Watermelon Patch has done for me and my grandchild. I am 60 year old grandmother and found myself as a primary caregiver for a two-year-old. Being quickly overwhelmed with the situation, I started looking for some daily activities . A friend of mine recommended The Watermelon Patch. She said her grandchild loved it so much that when she came to pick him up he didn’t want to go home and leave his friends. The staff is loving and supportive and always seems to find the time to give much-needed encouragement or a kind comment about my grandchild. So thrilled to be a part of this organization!.

The Watermelon Patch Preschool is a place of learning, compassion, and creativity. The curriculum is full of rigor and differentiates instruction based on the childs achievement. The students thrive in an environment that promotes personal growth and awareness. My son has been attending since he was 2 1/2 years old. He is now 4 and my heart flutters at the thought of him moving on to kindergarten. I am unsure if he will get the same academic rigor in a big boy school setting. As a teacher myself, I understand of trusting your child with someone all day who will teach your child just as much as you would teach your own child. The joy to teach has to be genuine and purposeful. I am a witness of the authentic learning that takes place at this preschool. The owner and teachers do a wonderful job of enhancing learning while making it fun and caring for our babies.

This is the best preschool I have ever experienced. As both an educator and parent I cant even begin to express how much I love this place. My daughter has been attending TWP for almost 6 months now and she loves it. I have watched her grow socially and academically thanks to the amazing teachers, especially Mrs. Linden. My daughter is always so happy and excited to go to school. I cant thank this school and Mrs. Linden enough for the positive, loving environment they have created for my daughter and the other students. 💗

My children have attended this preschool for several years. We absolutely love the teachers, owner, facilities, and curriculum. They balance teaching with fun and play.My daughter, who is now in 1st grade, went here for her preK. She got her educational base here and is thriving in elementary school. I have to give the credit to the Watermelon Patch. My son is in his 3rd year and is thriving as well. I wouldnt change a thing about their preschool eduction. This is a premiere preschool. I am so glad we found the Watermelon Patch and that we got a chance to join their family. I will be very sad when my children move on. The owner, Mrs. Linden, and the rest of the teachers are amazing. If you get a chance, visit and see what they are all about. You will love them and want to sign your children up for classes.

My son is in the k3 class and goes three times a week now. We started him in the k2 class twice a week because he was a very shy little boy. He enjoyed it so much that we increased his days and he always has the biggest smile and is ready to tell me about his day every time we pick him up. He has really bonded with his teacher and the teachers there are so loving and patient. Im very picky when it comes to schooling and the watermelon patch is the best.

My husband was kind enough to let me know about a scathing review on this wonderful location. Please allow me to set the record straight. This location has been working with my child for two years. My child is bright, imaginative and unique. The teachers here all take wonderful care in instilling great compassion, skills and understanding. We love all the teachers here.Read a review you can depend on. As a nurse, I encounter all kinds of people from many walks of life. It does not take much to read between the lines of a frustrated parent. Nobody wants to admit they are not the perfect parent. I encounter this daily. When a parent takes offense or feels they are more qualified, they will lash out with name calling and also fall into repetition. Constantly focusing on a single critique from an outside source, they will utilize excuses, threats and even name calling.I work strange and difficult hours, I find that its hard to balance teaching my child to the extent I would prefer. Watermelon Patch to the rescue. My child has not always had perfect reviews. When this happens, we do not as parents overreact. My husband or I make an appointment and we LISTEN to their teacher. Despite our personal feelings on our childs developing mind we do NOT take personal offense and start yelling and blaming the educators. Meeting a critique with petulantance is counter productive. In my profession its clear that sometimes the limelight is overwhelming for a child. My child as each child sometimes do not hesitate to shut down when they are put on the spot. In the comfort and care of their own home they may be more apt to display their genius. If you feel the need to write a scathing review because you are not capable listening and working with the educators, the fault lies within you. It is not hard to separate a parent who themselves has done little to further their own education, (run-on sentences, punctuation, spelling, and redundancy) from those who do not take offense to a review meant to work to a better development. Finally I would like to thank the owner for standing up for her staff. As with my job, teaching is a hard profession with low pay and rarely recognition. My peers and I all agree that we would love to have the same back up from our superiors.Thank you all for the read.

Ill give 2 stars for the cleanliness and how friendly the secretary was when scheduling a tour. But that owner needs to find a new way to communicate to parents. How dare you say to me in front of my child Have you done any testing? Of course my child wanted to explore the NEW environment that he was in with toys all around. Hes not even 2 yet! Last time I have been around any other toddler, they do the same. I also do not like that you cant tour the facility during the hours children are there. Every single place I have toured pre- school wise did not care when I wanted to come. As a parent I want to see the teachers and how the children are in their learning environment. My child has been home with me and it seems that they dont want to have the patience to deal with a child that may need some time to adapt to their so called standards. If I didnt have my child with me, there are so many things I could have said to that owner. You can keep your judgement and your private determination on if you want a child there to yourself. If your 1-2 year old toddler will sit down when they want for long periods and listen ALL THE TIME, then this isnt the place for your toddler. I havent met any that do this. Im sure all the good reviews are honest in their opinions but it seems like they have a specific preference in the type of child they want at their pre-school. For goodness sakes most kids dont go to pre-school until they are 3. Im glad I toured other PRE-SCHOOLS who understand hes a toddler and encourage learning through play and exploration.

I have brought my daughter here since she was 6 months old. We started doing Moms Day Out once a week when she was 1. Twice a week when she was 2 years old. And this past year three times a week as she is 3 years old. This is a magical environment and I could not have imagined my life without it. Renee is exceptionally loving and caring! I dont think theres another place like it. You have to check out this Childrens Playskool in person and see for yourself! Weve never dropped our child off anywhere else! (outside the close family members) This is a place you and your child will love.

I can not say enough about how amazing this education center is. My daughter has been in attendance here for six months.Like most children in their care, the only problem is trying to convince my daughter that it is time to leave. Her teacher Mrs. Linden is by far the most kind and patient teacher I have had the pleasure of working with. My children love her and the center. There are several teachers here, all are excellent and well versed in their profession. On most days my daughter inisists on saying goodbye to as many as she can.The difference between this facility and most others is simple. The educators take time for each child and each parent. Need to speak to a teacher? Simply schedule an appointment. They always make time for us. You may have to wait till the following business day, however this is due to their policy which in turn is due time constraints when customizing a teaching plan for each child. The educational development your child accrues here is simply put, unparalleled. I have had the pleasure to meet each teacher that works at this center. Remarkably, each teacher knows the name of every child not just their class. The owner is a sweet and endearing woman who like her staff, always puts the children before everyone else. The pure joy on each teacher when I bring my daughter in is enough to make the hardest day for me, a bright and positive one. I challenge anyone to find a better center for the development of our young childrens minds. Each day at pickup the staff is eager to tell me all about my childs journey into her education. I could write pages on why this educational center is by far the best in Mobile, AL.As a very involved parent it is my pleasure to recommend and commend this amazing facility.

This place is absolutely horrible...the owner here is very unprofessional and will talk to you (or yell) and could care less....im sorry but this is your business, people pay you, try respecting your customers....my son has been going here for 3 years and has barely learned anything from here....he was sent home with an evaluation and they marked on his evaluation that he basically didnt know anything, and when I got home I went over it with him (because I knew he knew most the things on there) and he knew most the things on the list...the worse part was they said my child could only count to 2 ( hes 4 years old)!! Well I go in this morning to let Mrs.Linden know that I was going to let her know a time I could have a meeting( because she wanted one)and that she should know that my child could count more than to 2, since shes taught him before, and that he knew alot of the things on there but maybe hes being stubborn to his teachers or having communication issues...well I guess mrs linden didnt like that I had a 2 minute conversation with her about my child and went and told the owner. I go in to pick up my son this afternnoon and the owner bombarded me telling me I didnt need to talk to Mrs Linden before school ( it was before school even started and maybe a 2 minute conversation) 😂...she starts being unprofessional and I told her to stop speaking so loud and be more professional since shes running a business and she told me she didnt care she would talk however she wanted to me....i then told her hey my child has gone here for how long and doesnt learn anything, instead of blaming my child they need to look at their program and she got really offensive...so she tells Mrs Linden to go get my child, he comes out scared of them and cowers in the corner , but I walk up to him and ask him to count to 10, and he did, to prove that my son can count to more than 2...what does she do? Makes excuses to why he counted to 10 and said I encouraged him, well isnt that what our kids need is encouragement? But instead of encouraging my son or saying thats great she made excuses to why he counted to 10...and not only that she said shes sorry that my son has the brain of a 2 year old...so not only makes excuses that he counted to 10, but says he has the brain of a 2 year old IN FRONT OF MY SON...enough said....i already know what most parents would do...i had to get me and my child out there fast.... Im sorry folks but when kids are failing school or not doing good, the schools reevaluate themselves, the teachers, and their programs...stop blaming my child when hes been going there for 3 years and hasnt learned a damn thing! And Lord, to talk to people like that when you are a business owner is just horrible....and the worse part is telling my son that he can only count to 2 and when he counts to 10 to still belittle him and tell me has the brain of a 2 year old IN FRONT OF HIM...dont bring your kids here if you want them to be around a positive environment and to learn things...im telling you from experience my child didnt learn anything from here....i honestly feel like they bully my son and thats the honest truth...I was told my so many people not to bring my child here and I should have listened...shame on her for putting my child down....I know my review is long, and I never write reviews, but Im so hurt and upset about what happened and the truth needs to be let out about this place...she doesnt need to run a place like this because shes mean to the children and bullies them....ill never forget my sons face when he came out of that classroom and seen them and ran and cowered in the corner...it broke my heart...its ok though, I wont ever bring my child back here...Im going to find a place that will teach my child and NEVER belittle him in front of his face...but hey, she told me good luck to the school that has to put up with him....shes an idiot, my baby is amazing and is well behaved, any school would be lucky to have him...ugh, shame on her!!!!
