I absolutely love Cottage Hill Christian. They are the best! from the head administration to the teachers. My three kids have been at CHCA 3 to 4 years and have grown spiritually and physically. I love the family oriented feel that they offer. Overall this is an excellent school.

As an alumni I can say the staff and teachers are awesome and truly care about the students. Great experience!

I didnt agree with the way my son was disciplined at the beginning of the school year. He is well behaved and never got into any fights. My son was suspended because he had an argument with another child. There was no physical altercation but they suspended him and gave him an F on all his test. Hes so smart that it really didnt hinder his GPA. However, there were a few situations that I noticed which just didnt seem right. A few of the African American kids who were on scholarship funding received special treatment because they were top athletes. A lot of them were in physical altercations with other students and only received detention because the school didnt want to suspend them due to their sports program they are currently trying to build. The school seemed more concerned with having a winning team rather than emphasizing what is right. Cottage Hill Christian places too much emphasis on trying to encourage African American kids to play sports instead of emphasising on other intellectual curriculum that will stimulate their young mindset. Another issue my child experienced here for the first time ever in his life was bullying. I took him off the football team and there were three particular kids that insulted him in the worst way because he didnt want to join their click. I spoke with the secretary who later spoke with the vice principle. He was suppose to call me back. Although, the bullying stopped and they handled the situation, Im rather repulsed that the vice principal never returned my phone call to appease my issues. That demonstrates lack of professionalism and compassion. There was also another issue that never was addressed. My sons science project was trashed during the science fair. I wouldnt doubt if at the time, it had something to do with the kids that were bothering him. I brought it to the teachers attention. They were suppose to check the cameras and no one ever contacted me regarding this issue. For this to be a Christian school there sure seems to be a lot of untamed, undisciplined, demons running around for students here and they act like savages! Im not sure if its Alabama, or just this particular school, or perhaps because its a Christian school, or if its simply because its a religious school, but based on some the students actions here, they lack sophistication and constructive discipline. Cottage Hill Christian has missed the point on what private school education should really be.

A great school. My granddaughter believes she is in the best school ever. Justice H. has been there since k3 nothing but the best teachers and she has definitely learned alot for her age. Thank you CHCA

The staff are super friendly, the facility is really nice and the cost is very reasonable. Our son is in K2 and we are very happy with CHCA.

I had the worst experience dealing with this school that involved bullying, harassment, and racism against my son for being Hispanic. I reported this situation three times to the school and reported it to Mr. Sanderfeur directly and he failed to do anything about it other than give the student a warning. Now my son was suspended earlier that year because he was being picked on by another student and they both were suspended for being disrespectful to each other. The other student was black. According to Mr.Sanderfeur he told me they dont tolerate fighting at all so detention was not an option. Well the child that was physically bullying my son was white and my son explained to me that his parents work at the school. It was reported to Mr. Sanderfeur that my son was being physically shoved in the hallway by this kid and he was instigating other kids to join in as well. Why wasnt he suspended when it first happened? When I asked the school to get in contact with the parents and if the parents worked there, they lied and told me the parents didnt work there. If it was against policy to release names they should have told me instead of making my child look like a liar. No real disciplinary actions were taken to correct this childs behavior and I also realized after the fact, the school failed to record any of it on paper. So I transferred my boy to a different school, however, things didnt stop there. The child hacked into my social media account and I later found out he was hacking into my sons account as well. I filed a report just to leave a paper trail. I have all the screen shots of his confession when I confronted him online about it. He has went as far as racially degrading my son telling my child he will never amount to anything because hes Mexican and will cut yards and be a janitor all his life because that is what Mexicans do, and spreading rumors about me and my son, along with a complete list of pure wickedness. I later found out who the parents were. This review needs to be a lesson to the school of Cottage Hill Christian and to the Hipp family. Im very disappointed with how this has escalated. It has been a huge emotional burden on my son due to the fact that you empowered his behavior by not taking the proper measures to correct it. The entire time the school was protecting the identity of the parents to cover their own asses when my son was clearly the one being victimized. The child being protected has the attitude of a white, overprivileged, spoiled brat based on the things he has said to my son. He talks down on people, has no respect for authority, and truly feels he can do whatever he wants because the school and his parents have empowered this this behavior by allowing it to get to this point. The correct form of discipline was not enforced at all. I would be very cautious with your bullying polices because next time there will not be any warnings, there will be a civil right lawsuit taking action. Not once did my son receive an apology for the wrong that was committed. As far as this being a Christian school and a place that represents followers of God, just know this evilness will surely buy you a first class ticket straight to hell if you all dont start making some serious adjustments over there. I would especially emphasis this to that diabolical kid who attends there. Ive never seen a child that wicked in my life. It will take more than prayer to correct his behavior. His pain runs so deep he is screaming for an intervention because he acted as if he didnt have a conscious the entire time. For a child to be that manipulative, cold, and just evil is beyond me. But Im calling everyone one out on their errors and I want that bully to leave me and my son alone or there will be serious legal consequences each and every one of you will face. No one has the right to make anyone feel inferior. This school is one of the worst schools I have ever been to in my life. My son had never experienced these things until he came here and had to deal with such monstrous, hateful, atrocity!
