My family just moved to Mobile from out of state. We have been here for a week, i tried to enroll my son into school only to be rejected. I was treated horribly from the time i walked into this building. I smiled, asked how they were doing and explained what my visit was for. Immediately i am questioned as to why i am living with family (we are house hunting) then i am asked why i do not have my sons ssn memorized, next i am told that i mist be interviewed by a social worker. I am completley unsure as to what just happened and asked why a social worker was needed. Well its because i must be a horrible person for not owning my own home and then i am asked why i am enrolling my son into school....ummm last i checked its the law. Now these people were too busy chatting with customer service about a gym membership and talkimg about me infront of me to even catch that i just moved here. So they threw a homeschooling form at me and said he couldnt go to their schools. Well ok sweetie and bless your heart. I will NEVER deal with them again! If i need to homeschool then so be it but that hatefulness was uncalled for.
