When I do get my hair professionally done, it is always here. First, they are learning and need people to learn their skill on, besides they always have their teachers right there watching. Second, they are far cheaper than the salons. Third, I dont trust many people with my long locks but this beauty school has always done my hair right. Lastly, I just have no complaints about them.My girl Mackenzie gave me exactly what I asked for, love the end result. Long way from hair that was down to my bottom and full of gray, cant even tell it was there. Love this Academy.

I’m sorry but I am very disappointed I was so excited when I left my hair was nice and bright they said wait 3 days to wash and to use cold water I did that and it has only been about a week or two and I have only washed my hair twice so far with special shampoo and conditioner and everything they said to do my blue has already started fading and the water still turns blue when I wash I would expect this from box dye but professional dye by now the water should not be blue and it should not be fading this fast I was so excited to have people practice and have the experience but it was not worth my 250 I will be going to an actual salon unfortunately next time I would like at least some sort of commendation back even if it is not the full thing it least half back because this is unacceptable especially for how much they charged me

I am blessed to work at Michigan College of Beauty. I get to work with the most amazing people. I see the world in so many way through our students everyday. I wouldnt change it for anything

Went to the school today for a wash and style. I was seen by Aubrey. She did a phenomenal job! She took the best care of my hair the style was just what I had explained to her. She also was explaining to me that my hair could use some extra love so we talked about product. Thank you Aubrey for telling me just what my hair was missing.

Went for the first time with my youngest who wanted highlights put in. Dez was awesome especially considering it took almost the entire visit before my very quiet child would talk.Came back for a 2nd visit and Dez was able to fit her in again and my daughter talked alot more throughout the whole visit. Very happy both times with the results.Brought my oldest in, Dez wasnt there that time but Makenzie I belive was her name did the cut my daughter wanted and did fantastic as well.The instructors are also super helpful and friendly and have just had amazing experiences. Will be going back very soon

I went and got a haircut at Michigan College of Beauty today in Monroe Michigan. C o r t whats my hair stylist she is the best. It was the best haircut I have ever gotten.

Called about coming in at 3:45 for services was told that was fine, they “ close at 4:30” Arrived and was told they stop taking people at 3:30.

Been going here for 5yrs now and i love it!!! the students had to be taught VERY well cuz they have never messed up my hair. i love meeting the new students and the instructors are very observant and walks around just in case someone needs help or if they seen something they don’t like and will step in💯💯 i will always return!!! ~kudos to those teachers💪🏻

I understand that the students are just starting out so I was fine when she missed a couple pieces, but when the instructor came over to check she only made it worse. I have completely straight hair and only asked for one inch to be cut off. However, the instructor cut off an additional THREE inches from my hair, and also missed two sections. Without asking me what I thought of her adjustments she walked away without a word. The plus side was that the student was very kind. Ive been going here for years and this was the first bad haircut Ive received, but it was BAD.

Absolutely none of the girls were wearing masks. The only ones actually wearing masks and taking precautions were the two girls up front. Youre required to sign a waiver and wear a mask like you should! But, as we were waiting for our service we can see the nail room is full of girls eating at the nail stations and not wearing masks. Completely unprofessional and unsanitary. We didnt feel comfortable staying so we left.

I came for a haircut and manicure. I am over the moon amazed by how much I love my perfect haircut. My hair is all kinds of difficult but somehow the cut has magically turned it from terrifying to super cute and easy to love. I couldnt get anything as great in the best salons in Manhattan! Best haircut EVER!

This place has always done excellent work. Never a bad haircut, and the students and staff are efficient and friendly. Where else can you get a decent haircut for the price?

I have natural curly hair and when I go in to get a haircut a lot of people just don’t know how to cut it, yesterday Sarah but she spelled it differently Serra or something like that, nice young girl was going to cut my hair, I specifically asked to talk to Ms. Carpenter first because I’ve been experiencing a few issues with my curls, Ms. Carpenter told the girl exactly how to do the cut and demonstrated it first, that’s why I love coming in here and getting my hair cut, Ms. Carpenter is very knowledgeable and very good at what she does, I left with a great haircut, thank you Sarah that’s spelled differently and Ms. Carpenter I appreciate your help, you are a blessing to the girls that you are training.

I had to get a haircut while visiting Michigan and ended up going here. Their prices are super reasonable (under $10 for a haircut), which drew me in. The stylist who gave me the haircut did such a nice job, I ended up splurging and getting a manicure too, and the nail technician made that a great experience. Id definitely go back.

Honestly if I could I wouldnt give them any stars! I am extremely disappointed with the nails I had done on Saturday. Today is only Tuesday and very nail has fallen off! For students that are to graduate in a month you would expect them to be more professionally done. Even going to a regular salon my nails have always lasted 2 to 3 weeks between a fill, but my nails done by a student at this school did such a horrible job that all my nails fell off in just days! Im so disappointed I would never recommend anybody wasting their money to go here. Pay the bigger bucks and go to a real salon....this place is a waste of your money and time!

MSOB is a great facility and experience. Nice people, clean and professional setting. Forget the expensive salons and head there! Love it!

Ive been here over and over again through the years for a variety of different services, from nails to hair to facials. The staff and students are friendly and welcoming, and the quality of services is great. The building is clean and bright and they have great products on sale there, too. I always recommend MCB to friends!

I am really satisfied with all my hair cuts. Teachers are right there showing their students any cut style you want. You can walk in or set up appointments. They do ask you to be there before 2 p.m. for anything that takes a little more time like tints etc. Very friendly & smiles.

The haircuts are great and what a value! I go all the time and the staff and students are a class act. Why go anywhere else?

They were all very nice but didnt do that well on my nails and my friends fell off a couple house after they went but hers looked good but just came off.

I received my manicurist license in 2016 from here and I recently decided to go back for cosmetology and unfortunately I was talked into going to Douglas j aveda in Ann arbor, BIG MISTAKE all they care about is money!! Michigan college of beauty cares about thier students and education. They make sure you have the all the knowledge you need to pass state boards and be successful in the beauty field! I would definitely recommend to everyone!

If you want to get a job in this industry this is a good place to go . Several of my past clients are graduates and have done very well for themselves.
