My son and daughter both enjoy Active. They are learning self defense and building confidence. I like that they are able to earn belts frequently which helps to keep their interest. The instructors are invested in the kids and have become role models for mine. They always look forward to class time! Thank you for your dedication!

At first, this just happened to be the most convenient martial arts studio to us, but now I cant imagine going anywhere else. The culture in this group is a fantastic combination of both loving to have fun, and being completely serious about what theyre trying to teach. There are no free belts here - you/your kids will be consistently stretching their limits, and have a great time doing it.

I signed my son up for this program because I wanted him to gain confidence in order to help him deal with bullying as well as self-control and the classic reason to give him something to do where he can focus on a goal and be able to get some of his boundless energy out. I was very pleased to find that the Instructors are not only knowledgeable and incredibly friendly but also very family orientated and supportive to everyones needs. I very much enjoy to bring my son to class and watch he, his classmates, and the Instructors interact. I especially like the extra time they take to sit down with the kids and talk about the theme for the week (Life Lessons), whether it is goal setting, focus, bullying, respect, being thankful, etc, because it helps to have role models other than family and friends to drive these important points home to our children. All the lessons both physical and mental are age appropriate.

My daughter has had problems in the past of staying focused for classes with dance and gymnastics. She has had no problems staying focused and learning in this class. It is nice to see how engaged the class is and the confidence she is building. Thank you.

Active Martial Arts is the brainchild of revolutionary martial artist, Jeremy Molley. What can I say about Mr. Molley? Nothing too fancy, just pure hard work, discipline and a fresh, creative approach. He and his organization continually succeed where others in the industry have said he was sure to fail. There arent many successful martial arts schools in the vicinity, I know because I have seen them come and go. Mr. Molley continues to adapt with the times. He understands that martial arts, like other industries, has to adapt to fit the customers needs. Not an easy job, however, when you are tasked with carrying on a lineage that is steeped in over 2,000 years of tradition. This is where Molley excels- he manages to keep Martial Arts interesting to anyone who signs up. He appeals to the modern athlete while keeping the traditional values and training intact. This approach is summed up in his schools philosophy:teaching modern Martial Arts techniques with traditional values. If you live in the area and are serious about taking your training to the next level, go with Active, you wont be disappointed. We love it and were sad when we got transferred to Seattle but still keep in touch and participate in some of the activities Active sponsors. From working with kids in his wolfs pups program to engaging adults of all ages in his striking and grappling series and keeping them enthused with weapons-training and the exclusive black belt club, you could train with AMA for years and never get bored!
