Don’t waste your time or money at South Piedmont Community College. I’ve continuously called, left messages, and emails to ensure my enrollment was certified through the VA because I am a veteran. A week before I’m supposed to start classes I am now being told they have not received all of my transcripts. I only found this out because I called them this morning. So not only will I not be able to attend classes but I’m stuck with the books I purchased for the classes. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for an education. They clearly don’t care about Veterans or future students.

My daughter attended the nursing program in this community college. Exceeded our expectations. Rigorous program that challenged the students on so many levels. The teachers are top notch and committed to prepare the students to pass the NCLEX....and they did. Congrats nursing class of 2020. Covid grads!!!

There are a lot of people who will break their back to help you with whatever you need. College is very much what you put into it. Get to know your instructors, talk to people around you, take advantage of the Academic Support Center, the library, and the educated and considerate people who work at SPCC. The Adult Basic Skills department is top-notch. Best community college in North Carolina by far.

I only use the testing center for IT certifications, but this place is great. Its closer to my house than CPCC Central Campus (plus I dont need to drive uptown, which is nice), theres plenty of computers to take exams, which means you can take your test earlier than your appointment if you get there early, and the people in the testing center are friendly. No complaints!

Terrible! Wasted time and money after specifically telling them what I needed to be transferred to my new school and they sent the wrong information, therefor I couldn’t sign up for classes at my new school. If I wasnt out of state I would have went in. Called 4 different people in the correct department and can’t get any of them to answer the phone or call me back.

I havent started yet, so this is just my experience with communicating with staff. so far its been pretty bad I left a message a few days back, got nothing and its not the first time luckily Ive been to college before so Ive managed to stumble through... but for an entering student good luck today is supposed to be my first day and Im still unsure of some things ...email might be the way to go but it would probably help if they had a real directory... I was sure I seen a receptionist when I took my placement exam 🤷‍♂️ side note if they do return your call it seems like theyre being inconvenienced somehow I think the lady I spoke with is heather...yeah heather 🤔

0 stars! HORRIBLE! Just dont even waste your time. EVERYONE is unorganized and all over the place. You get the run around constantly. Bless your heart if you have a maiden name because you wont be in their system correctly and then you will have to prove who you are! Dont even think about emailing with questions....you wont get a response, at all! You will however sit there all day long and waste your time. If your a transfer student, forget about it! You will be asked to take a placement test, even after being at another school for over a year! They do not advertise or tell you up front that Federal loans are not accepted....you get to go through the entire process and waste a whole day to figure that out! HORRIBLE!!!!

Scheduled a proctored exam through the testing center. I paid and scheduled weeks in adavance. I received email verification two days ago to confirm. Today I show up at my appointed time to find the school closed with no communication about a scheduling conflict. The test is a final for a University thats three hours away and I took time off from work to be here. If I can be professional why cant you?!

I am currently in the Therapeutic Massage Program here and I honestly could not have asked for a better school to attend. Alycia is fantastic, she is head of the program and I am learning so much from her. Its affordable and she actually wants us to know the information, not just pass the mBlex. In the diploma program, you will be getting over 600 training hours and the state requires at least 500 and you will be certified in deep tissue and sports massage as well as Swedish massage. In the 2 year program, your total training hours exceed 1,000 and you learn neuromuscular therapy, spa techniques including hot stone, advanced sports, and bindegewebs massage. Its a great school to attend, everyone is so nice and helpful and the classes are small enough to get that one on one with the instructors.

Honestly, one of the worst schools I have ever entered. Almost every staff member I spoke to was SO rude. Im so disappointed. I highly recommend going to Central Piedmont Community College.

I transferred to a different community college after attending here. They are terribly unorganized and the academic advising is terrible.
