The classes are very informative; whether you are just looking for a refresher or looking to gain some new skills. Instructors like Patrick are patient enough to go through exercises multiple times and make sure students understand. He also has a very comprehensive understanding of Excel and is a very valuable instructor

I took the MS Access level 1 class here. It was a fantastic class, mainly because of the instructor. Garfield was incredibly knowledgeable, offered background on any questions we had, and gave great tips on how to use Access in your personal life. This was a full day class and went by very quickly because it was packed with a ton of info. The facilities were top notch and all materials needed were provided by NYIM. I would definitely take a class here again.

The PowerPoint Bootcamp for Business classes were well worth EVERY penny and I highly recommend them. The instructor Scott was very engaging, knowledgeable and funny so not only did I learn a lot but the class flew by. If you want to learn PPT, this is the class for you!

Ive taken excel workshops before but the Excel for Business Bootcamp is one of my tops! The instructor was patient and knowledgeable. I really like the fact that you take away different resources and that youre able to retake the course for free within 6 months.

Very well structured course with organized content, quick pace and lots of practice/homework problems to solidify new skills. The course instructor was energetic and helpful. The classroom itself was a bit crowded and had issues with temperature control but otherwise fine. I would take another course there again.

I do not remember the instructors name - he was good but he went pretty fast with some of the subjects. I was a little lost with 3 of the items but it was going so fast that I didnt want to disrupt the rest of the class who seemed to have picked it up pretty quickly. I am grateful that there is a video and handouts available so that I can reference back to where I got lost and try to figure it out. This was my second class and Im still pretty glad that my job has paid for them.

Im enrolled in the Excel for Business three part series of courses. The first course was informative and very helpful! Everything is very easy to understand and the instructor works with students to make sure they are following the main concepts. The first class is a general overview of shortcuts, basic formulas, and the most useful concepts of Excel that are most applicable to the world of business and general office management. This is an all-day class and yes there is a lot of information thrown at you, but even someone with no Excel experience should not find this hard to grasp because of how it is organized.

Great experience w/ NYIM. The classes were small so there was a lot more attention paid to the students. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions and even had time to show with hands on practice. I will definitely be coming back for more courses.

Took the two day Financial Modeling Bootcamp. Extremely informative and useful. Smaller class size allows for one on one help and enables you to really understand the material you are working through. Additionally you build out a model on an actual company during the course, allowing you to preform the same kind of analysis you would use in a real office setting, as opposed to looking at generic accounting problems. Office itself is very nice, and the professors are extremely well informed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to develop, sharpen, or reestablish their financial modeling skills.

Class was very small and the instructor is great - Very patient and interested and with a good sense of humor. Class is hands-on with typing and not just a dry lecture. Location is great. The room is on the small side and doesnt have windows, but I guess that just makes distractions from the outside world less likely.I would definitely recommend this class.

Great Excel class! Im a pretty seasoned Excel user, so there were parts that were definitely review, but I still learned a whole lot. Michael kept the pace up, though not too fast, and he wasnt married to his agenda. He was flexible and was willing to answer questions at any time. The course materials were great, too, and there was sufficient time built in for completing exercises. I highly recommend.

I felt that this class was a great introduction to SQL, coming from someone who had very little exposure to it before the class. They broke it down for us in a very comprehensible manner, and provided examples along the way that we could practice. I look forward to taking Level 2!

I had a fantastic experience in NYIMs Intermediate Excel class. Staff were very helpful in guiding me on which course to take based on my current skill set. Scheduling was easy as there were multiple days, times, and formats offered. I took the course over two weekday nights with Garfield. The facilities are clean and modern and offer complimentary water, coffee, and snacks. Garfield was an expert and made learning excel fun (which is not easy to do). I am able to apply what i learned directly to my work. At the end of the course, they offer a handout, online courses, and a copy of the work book from the training which make it an incredible value. Would highly recommend NYIM for any excel training, and will definitely be booking advanced excel courses with them in the near future.

Had an amazing experience taking Excel for Business Level 2 at NYIM. The excel class helped me get back up to speed on a ton of fundamental techniques and short cuts, and the instructor was awesome. They even gave us videos to look at after we finished the class for some extra help on our own time. The actual location was convenient and comfortable, they gave us coffee tea and chcocolate- an overall great experience. Will definitely be going back for level 3.

This was a great class! Michael Magreta, our professor was great as well. He answered all of the questions and went into every exercise with great detail. The pace was excellent and I liked that I had a lot of personalized attention even though we were a group. The only negative aspect was the classroom itself because the air conditioning system was not great, so it was kind of hot inside.

It was a full day from 10am-5, fast-moving and packed with information on all the Excel basics, including on-the-spot exercises. Really useful for skills in managing all kinds of information and projects. Id highly recommend this course, and would like to take the L2 when Im ready!

Great instructors, they are patient! The materials are great, and you can retake the class once, if you need a refresher! I highly recommend them!

On a scale of 1-10 I would give the program an 8.5. Joe was very helpful and patient. He broke down the program into such a simple tool. This will definitely assist me going forward. The reason I did not rate it higher is because I still left a little uncomfortable with one particular area; however, Joe has advised us of the resources, videos and free forum and booklets to refer to and learn from. I enjoyed the Excel Bootcamp I took at NYIM.First the trainers were very knowlegeable and took time to explain concepts in detail.Secondly the course content is very rich. I found it quite voluminous though. But it is great to have printed material for reference.Thirdly, I loved how interactive classes were with trainers trying as best they could to provide help individually to students.I greatly recommend NYIM training.

I enjoyed my InDesign Essentials class. The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. I appreciated that he not only taught the must know items but also the lesser known tricks and tips. I especially liked the fact that I didnt feel rushed and lost as compared to other classes Ive taken before at other vendors. The instructional format was great because we were given time to learn and review. The only thing I wish was different (why I didnt give 5 stars) was that no written materials were provided. Perhaps a folder with the written steps for the projects would be good to take home. Nevertheless, our instructor provided us with his website url that includes several instructional videos, including one with the exact project. Overall, I highly recommend this training school.

I took the Excel Programming course and it was fabulous. The class was very small (2 other people) and the instructor was very knowledgeable about the topic. The course was challenging but laid down important foundations necessary to be able to do it on our own. I definitely recommend it.

The class was small and personal and it was a nice professional environment. The class was kept small which allowed for easy discussions. Paul was a patient and excellent instructor. If he didnt know the answer he would find out during lunch. He brought up the main questions you need answered before one is to begin with Quickbooks efficiently. Paul showed the correct way and the incorrect way of establishing a business within Quickbooks. I look forward to my Level II classes with Paul.

Advanced Indesign - Great Class! Great Teacher! Very personal and attentive to every question you may have no matter your skill set.

Took the SQL level 1 course with no prior knowledge. It was extremely helpful and it went a pace slow enough for me to understand, while being fast enough that I did not get bored.

I recently had two days of training with Eugenio, which covered Illustrator and Photoshop. I had previously had some experience with the Adobe suite, so wasnt a complete novice, but Eugenios teaching made sense of so many things Id been confused by before.This guy really knows his stuff! Any questions we had were met with easy to understand answers, and usually with examples to show work-arounds and simpler methods for doing things.While the courses I took have met the current needs I have for Illustrator and Photoshop, if I need further training down the track, I will definitely be coming back to NYIM Training.

This was a great hands on experience with Excel. I would recommend the advance for anyone who is already familiar with Excel, otherwise take the other course. I really enjoyed taking the advance course with Saba Hocek, energy she was very clear on the instruction and helped me really understand the concept and materials.

Thoroughly enjoyed NYIMs Excel and Access Bootcamp; Garfield and Peter, the intermediate/advanced Excel/ Access instructors, respectively, were truly subject matter gurus!They both went-above and beyond to explain context and purpose behind using Excel/Access - and shared many best practices + free ongoing resources along the way.Recommend without hesitation NYIM, the Excel/Access courses.(One logistical insight that may be helpful to anyone reading this - is to take the classes sequentially, on back-to-back days, if possible. Ie. Enrolling in the Excel Courses Tuesday-Thursday, without a day of break. This was quite beneficial to the learning process).5/5 Stars all around!

I took NYIMs Quickbooks Online Level 2 class recently. I walked away with an undoubtedly more in-depth knowledge of Quickbooks (as well as good bookkeeping practice in general) than I had for the previous 3+ years of QBO use. Paul puts everything in an easy to understand, big-picture kind of way and does so in an entertaining, friendly environment.I definitely recommend this to anyone who has to upgrade their business bookkeeping/accounting systems and wants a more personalized, expert education on how to do so (with knowledge of the current tax codes, too). A winner in my opinion.

NYC Career Center offers a number of different courses which includes SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad, VBA, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Quick Books.
