My daughter has been at this center since early March in the infant classroom. We’ve really enjoyed our experience, the teachers and administrators are caring and everyone has been very helpful. Each day there are new fun activities for the kids and we’re always so excited to see the photo and video updates throughout the day!

My son has been at this center since he was 6 months old; he’s now entering the Twos program. He was two months premature, so I was extra nervous about daycare. The teachers that he has had have been caring, communicative and thoughtful, and have taught me almost as much as him. They push developmental skills in appropriate ways. They have fostered a positive classroom environment with supportive peer relationships. He has friends and sings on our car rides home. All of my concerns have always been addressed promptly. We’ve been back post-pandemic for nearly four months now, and I do feel safe having him there, and am grateful to his teachers and the administration for making daycare possible again.

This place is well located behind Time Warner center area, has ramps and buggy parking space. The double door is hard to manoeuvre. If you know a person currently enrolled you get a discount on part of the registration/enrollment fee.It seems to be open from 7am-18:30, which is longer than the bright Horizons nearby. The big downside I know several people have chosen against here is that most of the classrooms are in the basement and have NO natural sunlight. They do take kids on walks when they can but no sunlight in classrooms could be a deal breaker. We have used this location for emergency backup care for 30+ sessions. Also the level of service varies from Administration to teachers daily. When its excellent they welcome you with printed name sheet, send you photos of your child and give you a daily update paper or email. On bad days I arrived and they were like we didnt know you were coming, and they dont give you any updates even if you ask, and noone can answer my questions like if child age or slept. This is why Im mixed about how to rate this review.I assume this depends on the quality of Administration and how stretched thin they are. With the Administration changes hopefully the good stays and I can add stars. Hopefully they try hard even though the location is convenient and people will come.

This is one of the most disorganized places Ive interacted with and a chaotic place to have entrusted my daughter with.I left my daughter twice as a drop off, to test whether its a suitable place for her. She was an infant at the time. They are supposed to have a low ratio of caretakers to kids for that age group (which they do) and yet, when I went to pick her up, they had not bothered to give her the food I had prepared for her; they had dropped her in a crib at the back to sleep (which she wasnt) and, separately, the only other baby in the room was crawling alone with a big snot coming out of her nose, and none of the TWO caretakers had bothered to wipe it off! Then, as I was assembling the stroller to leave, and my daughter was crawling on the floor, I noticed one caretaker walking backwards and about to crush accidentally my daughters hands. I pushed her preemptively and she made a big ...fuss(!) because apparently my pushing hurt her! I mean, here you have an adult daycare professional about to crush a baby and she dares make a fuss about a little pain on her shoulder! On a separate occasion, the fire alarm went off and total chaos prevailed: staff took a while to decide whether to evacuate the kids, spending time debating whether it was a true fire alarm or whether a child accidentally hit the alarm. During that time, children were running around crying out of fear from the noise. Amazingly, the infants were evacuated last, with their caretakers hanging out casually in the infant room after everyone else was evacuated. As a final note, the center is lousy in communicating to parents---I asked several times for an email confirmation and receipt for my application to enter the waiting line and never heard back. I also never heard back about if and whether Im moving at all in the waiting line. And to add insult to injury, they dared to send erroneous charges about fictitious drop off hours for my daughter, which I obviously disputed over email and... guess what.. I never heard back! The decision is yours...

We’ve so enjoyed our time at Bright Horizons Columbus Circle. It gave us a new standard for childcare! My child was mostly in the infant three and infant four classrooms. His teaches were loving and warm. As a new mom I learned so much from them— especially that my child is capable of many things. Each day I was amazed at the activities they would do! We are moving to Brooklyn or I would keep my child here through his toddler years! All staff was welcoming and helpful. BHCC gave me piece of mind— while at work I never worried for a moment about my boy— I felt at ease that he was safe and enjoying the day. I highly recommend Bright Horizons at Columbus Circle! And am forever grateful for the high level of care they gave my son!
