Sifu Koh provides a vehicle for personal evolution and tranformation through his unparalleled passion for Kung fu and his students. After spending half a decade with him (and continuing), my only regret is not joining him sooner. Truly a life long pursuit of self understanding through sheer hard work and dedication to the beautiful art of the Tiger Crane school. Every person should see this at some point in ther lives.

Bo Law Kung Fu is the absolute best way to get in shape, hands down. This is not your typical martial arts school. The student body is full of well educated professionals and artists. The instructors are warm, engaging, and supportive. And Master Koh is simply the best teacher you will find, anywhere! The school offers a flexible curriculum to accommodate everyone -- from those seeking to enhance their daily workout routines, to those who are vested in studying classical Chinese martial arts and culture.Someone once asked if you sweat a lot. Trust me...you will work every muscle in your body, while challenging yourself and growing as an individual. Definitely check it out!

I have been training at Bo Law since 2000. Since that time my career has flourished, I got married, and had two kids. With all the change and stress in my life, training with Sifu has remained the one constant in my life that is my selfish pleasure. While the first several years were amazing physical workouts that helped release stress and keep the weight off, over the years I have found deeper meaning in my training. Self discovery and mental challenges have become more fatiguing than the physical (I am still sore and tired after a workout and I weigh less now than when I graduated college). I encourage anyone to begin training at Bo Law. At the very least you will get a very good full body workout, but many like me have been fortunate to get so much more out of training, as I feel the training has made me a better professional, a better husband, and a better father.

I have been with this school since 2005 and it has been one of the most revelatory experiences. Learning this martial art is great fun but what is even greater is learning how to conquer yourself and become a better, fitter, kinder, smarter and more compassionate version of yourself. It is the best present you can give yourself by coming to this school. I also really enjoy learning from Sifu and listening to his words of wisdom. People who have gone to the best schools in the world, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, and Wellesley (me :))....come to Bo Law Kung Fu and are blown away from what they learn here. We all have gaps in our learning and understanding from our parents and schools and church and family, they did the best they could, after all. You can really fill in the gaps with the wisdom you will learn here. I only wish I had begun my training at age ten so that means dont wait too long if you are interested in learning...come today!

I joined Bo Law Kung Fu in 2001, and I can easily say that its been one of the best decisions Ive ever made. The training and guidance that Ive received from Sifu Koh and his instructors has helped me in every area of my life. Im stronger, healthier, and better able to meet whatever challenges come my way.The schools new location is in a large, sun-drenched space with great amenities and more room than before. And getting there couldnt be more convenient - just about every train including the PATH arrives within two blocks.Bo Law Kung Fu is a complete mind/body workout, and an excellent way to get in shape physically, mentally and spiritually.

Training at Bo Law Kung Fu has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences, and I have a hard time imagining my life without it.As a girl with no prior knowledge about martial arts and little formal athletic training in general, I was nervous about what to expect. I worried about whether or not I would fit in, if I was tough enough, etc. But I managed to push aside the insecurity and showed up for a class and it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. There was no need to worry -- the atmosphere is very friendly and helpful, and not at all intimidating. On top of that, the other students all seemed genuinely interested and invested in their training, something you never see in generic workout classes where people just casually drop in to sweat for an hour. In short, BLKF is a wonderfully welcoming and inspiring place to train. In terms of the physical aspect, workouts are both challenging and dynamic. Its never boring, and while its so more than just a workout, its also still a pretty great workout. I always leave both totally exhausted and completely re-energized. The training also helps condition your body against all the terrible things we do to it everyday -- because of Kung Fu, Im the only one of my colleagues that doesnt have chronic back problems from hunching over a keyboard all day.But its also so much more than just physical training. I wanted to try kung fu because I was tired of running mindlessly in circles or on a treadmill, and wanted something more cerebral, something that engaged the mind. It has helped improve my focus, discipline, and stress levels in general, and I now get up earlier and manage my time better, as well. Its also a great boost in confidence, not only because it helps me stay fit, but because you start thinking about yourself in terms of what you can do (physically and otherwise) and you become more self-assured and focused on improving and overcoming your weaknesses rather than how others might see you.I could go on forever, but theres no way to explain in words how enriching the experience is, so just try it!

Yeah must say this is not a real kung fu school the teachers are inexperienced and only know very basic movements more like a low tai-bo school….honestly i did kung-fu with a real chinese northern kung fu teacher who doesnt even speak english i learned more in 5 minutes from him then these yo-yos in two classes if you really want to learn kung fu they are misleading you they cant even do a proper horse stance, t-stance and everything begins with that the entire art!!!

I feel incredibly lucky to have found Bo Law Kung Fu! I signed up for 3 months of classes on a whim, just to try something new and now Im starting year 3 there. Im just as excited about BLKF today as I was on day 1 (if not more so). Learning at BLKF has been the most challenging and rewarding experience - ever. It has changed me for the better, on so many levels, and I know Ill only continue to grow as a person there. Its so much more than a place to learn traditional Kung Fu and its history. Its a community made up of people from all walks of life, all of whom love Kung Fu and support and offer encouragement to each other. Its a haven away from the stresses and chaos of the city. Its a place to learn about and improve yourself.Sifu and the instructors are not only very knowledgeable, interesting and fun to learn from, but are also some of the nicest, people Ive met in NYC. Truly amazing and inspiring. Try it! Youll definitely learn a lot about yourself. I highly recommend it!

Bo Law Kung Fu. Wow, where do I start. Well, this place that I call my second home is truly unique. This is not your average everyday martial arts establishment. Bo Law Kung Fu is most likely the best Kung Fu school in the west! I`ve been here for several years and I can say with confidence that I am a better person than before (a true mind and body workout). Sifu Koh truly loves what he does and cares about all of his students. This is a very important part of why we are so loyal. If you are considering trying martial arts or trying to decide what kung fu school to attend I`m certain you`ll be very pleased with Bo Law Kung Fu. Just take one class and you`ll see what I mean!..

I have been a student at Bo Law Kung Fu for the past five years, and during that time, my training has not only improved my physical well being, but my attitude and approach to everything in life.I moved to New York looking for a Kung Fu school and I tried out several places before I found BLKF. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew this was the place I wanted to train. The training is very high quality in terms of technique and physical expectations. Sifu Koh and the other instructors push every student to improve and to seek the best within themselves. In addition, the school is a very supportive, safe community, and students encourage and help each other, both during and outside of classes.Training at Bo Law Kung Fu is more than just a physical workout. It is a way to expand your mind and learn more about yourself. It is a way to be in good physical condition and also achieve greater mental discipline. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in working hard to become a better person.

A friend recommended Bo Law Kung Fu when I was looking for a place to practice martial arts that provided a balanced mind/body/spirit workout. Although I was initially hesitant (I had never practiced Kung Fu before), from the first class I knew it was indeed a very special place. Bo Law Kung Fu is both physically, mentally, and personally demanding: after a hard day/week at work/school, it makes for a great way to challenge the body AND awaken the mind AND engage in personal growth as well. It is an honor to learn from Sifu Koh and all the instructors. On a more practical note, the classes are varied, the students diverse, and the scheduling convenient (there are morning, midday, evening, and weekend classes). The Mo Gwoon (training hall) is spacious and beautiful. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. If you are serious about learning Kung Fu, this is the place to be. It is the best investment that you can make for your integral well-being.
