I just started private lessons for my ASA101 sailing certification and I could not be more pleased. My instructor, Logan, has been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging. If you have the ability, I would highly recommend private sailing lessons because the shear amount of one-on-one instruction and practice you will receive will make you a much better sailor much faster than other ways of learning.

I loved it! I took ASA 101. The instructor and crew were very nice. The sailboat was in great condition. The instructor Eric was very knowledgeable and even taught us about Bernoullis principle and the Venturi effect (at the crews request). By the end of the weekend we were well prepared - tacking, jibing, and practicing man-overboard scenarios. It was a great experience. I highly recommend it.

Had the most AMAZING time touring the Hudson River with Atlantic Yachting!!!!!! Hands down the best way to see NYC. Our tour was on September 11 and we had the most breathtaking view of the Twin Towers memorial and the Statue of Liberty!!!! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Jonathan and David went above and beyond with their hospitality. The boat was clean and spacious enough for me and my friends kick back and enjoy the view!!!! The online booking was so easy and convenient, I cant wait to do it again!!! I am so grateful for Atlantic Yachting and the AMAZING memories i got share with my friends!!!!!!

A NO BRAINER – YES COME ABOARD NOW!I had an amazing experience sailing with the crew of Atlantic Yachting. This group is very well organized, the boats are well maintained and the staff is highly knowledgeable and very friendly. My trainer Eric was a pleasure to sail with. He immediately put me at the helm of the J24, and we had a chance to get to know each other while we got caught in a zero-action-zone for an hour, with the current taking us North. We just couldn’t realize what was coming next. Upon a scan of the sky for weather, I noticed a squall just behind the Washington Bridge heading our way. Five minutes later a black like formed on the water just ahead of the bridge and I recognized it was a serious downpour of rain which I expected to be pushing strong winds ahead. I shared my view with Eric, who agreed with me, and then boom! The fun started. Pouring rain and a wonderful 20 knots hit us, filled the sails and we were sailing! How great!I had a wonderful time and strongly suggest everybody that loves to be on the water to give it a shot. I can only share my experience and tell you it’s worth every penny. Could not have had a better time! 3 couples (all from NYC) for two hours sailing on the Hudson. Jonathan (captain) and Taylor (first mate) could not have been more accommodating, friendly and fun. We showed up with bags of food and drink and taylor took everything below deck and made it a gourmet experience. We didnt have to lift a finger. Excellent cocktails, and amazingly presented appetizers. All we had to do was supply the food and drink and they took care of the rest - platters, glassware, presentation, ice, mixology, you name it.We felt like we were on a luxury vacation 15 minutes from our apartment.We felt like multi-millionaires for a couple of hundred dollars per couple.Cant wait to go again next summer!

My friend and I had a fantastic sail with Atlantic Yachting. Its the best way to see NYC - without the rattle of a motor and away from people, you truly feel like you are out in nature, while also being able to look back at the city of 8 million people. We departed for a sunset cruise, and the angle of the sun is spectacular. You get the full shift from bright orange through to purple/pink/cobalt, and the final rays of sun are gleaming off the skyscrapers fronting the Hudson. We could see everything from Empire State and Chrysler, down to the World Trade Center. The boat was clean, and the staff was friendly, professional, and personable. Our Captain Dave gave us plenty of insight, including that the lights on top of the buildings of Times Sq can be controlled by an app! Absolutely going to go again!

I went out sailing with Atlantic Yachting for my birthday and it was the most magical event! Dave and Eric were PERFECT hosts. Dave is full of local knowledge as well as an excellent sailor. He took us right by the Statue of Liberty, so I could see Lady Liberty up close and personal. Eric was skilled and friendly. He was a great host, making sure our glasses were never empty! My friends were blown away by this lovely adventure. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

My family loves Atlantic Yachting. Our girls (9 and 11) took a week of sailing camp this past summer and enjoyed it so much that we signed up for a second week at the last minute. Then, when we took out some catamarans on our own for some family sailing later in the summer, the girls comfort level with sailing was evident. Finally, my wife and I have done two three-hour sails with Logan at Atlantic Yachting this month (why should the kids have all the fun?). A couple of weeks ago, the winds were really light; today, it was blowing. Its a real credit to Logan that we had a great time on both of the sails. We so enjoyed both Logans teaching (which he made appropriate for our intermediate sailing skills) and his company.

Our trip was incredible - We planned a birthday surprise, and it went off without a hitch. We sailed south on a beautiful evening. The lights from the city are amazing at night on the water. Jonathon and Nate were exceptionally capable, eager to please and very skilled. We cut the motor and were able to sail, which was incredibly peaceful. The level of service was impeccable, from the moment we arrived at the dock. Would highly recommend Atlantic Yachting. Cant wait to try a lesson!

This was one of the best evenings I have spent in the city. It was truly one of those moments where its like you get to experience the city for the first time. The staff was caring and thoughtful and they do everything to make it a truly special moment. We sailed down the Hudson at sunset, the sky was full of color and the water was perfect. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. I cant wait until my next voyage.Get your friends, get on their boat, and set sail!

Dave & Daniel we’re our captains last night & they were incredible. My 6 best friends & I go on a girls trip every year & this year we picked New York. We got to sail out on a private boat, just the 6 of us with 2 captains who served our drinks, were very kind, & providing the most enjoyable night cruise - we went from 9:30 to 11:30 & the view of the city lights was amazing. So relaxing after a long day of waking. Highly recommend. One of my favorite things we did on the trip.

Had such an amazing time out on the Hudson with Captain Dave! Even as a New Yorker - its a really different perspective of the city from out on the water. Very easy to book online. Am absolutely going to return when I have guests in town - its that rare tourist experience that is actually super fun! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 3 hour sail with Logan and Caroline! They were helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful conversationalists - and they made the experience that much better. To start off, Jonathan and Conor at Atlantic Yachting are just great human beings. My wife and I enjoyed our Basic Keelboat class under their tutelage. It has been close to 25 years since I sailed and my wife never even thought of sailing until I brought it up, however after the 2 day class (with a ton of on water, actual sailing time) we came away with a greater understanding and love for the sport (and also a sailing certification).Jonathan and Conor made us feel safe and gave us the confidence to push through and learn what for all practical purposes was something new to us. Martha (who initially wasnt too thrilled about sailing) now cant wait to get back out on the river to sail again.Thanks Atlantic and specifically Jonathan and Conor for a fun and rewarding weekend!

A truly special experience. Whether you are visiting the city or have lived here your whole life, I highly recommend Atlantic Yachting.The crew was exceptional. The team of two for our particular cruise made us feel relaxed and welcome on their beautiful sail boat. They were also knowledgeable about their boat and the New York coast line.I was with a small group of six and this particular boat was perfectly sized for our group. The seating arrangement allowed us to chat comfortably, while also enjoying the stunning views of New York City. Both sides of the boat were able to enjoy the views and we left we some fantastic pictures of our group.We went on a 1.5 hour cruise; however, it would be well worth a longer trip since the trip provides a unique perspective of many of the iconic NYC sights (A coast to coast view of the center of New York along 42nd St, One World Trade, the Statue of Liberty, etc).Looking forward to finding another occasion to set sail with Atlantic Yachting!- Brenton

AMAZING!! We had the incredible pleasure of sailing with Dave P. and Mariette this weekend, and it exceeded all my expectations. We live in Manhattan and have sailed in the Hudson on the Circle Line and on a cruise ship as it left port, and so I didn’t expect much more when booking this trip. But WHOA, what a massive difference on a smaller sailboat! It was like taking a vacation without going away. Dave handled the boat with smooth and skillful expertise. Mariette was incredibly hospitable and attentive to our needs — as in predicting them before we even asked. Smooth sailing under a sunny sky with great tunes and great people … it was like being in the Caribbean rather than the crazy hustle & bustle of NYC. Finally, the views of both the NYC and NJ coasts were amazing. If you haven’t taken a trip with these two, run don’t walk to “get away” without getting away.

If youre looking for a fun way to spend the day with friends, definitely check out Atlantic Yachting! We sailed with Jonathen and Mariette on a Sunday afternoon/early evening and saw the best views of Manhattan from the Hudson River.The crew was incredible, chatting with us about some of the different sites as we passed and serving us the food and drinks we brought with us (this was unexpected and such a nice perk!) so that we were able to sit and enjoy the views and company.Our charter fit 6 people comfortably. I would absolutely recommend for a locals and visitors alike looking to celebrate or just see the city from a new perspective. Cant wait to go again!

We came all the way from California to sail on the Hudson and see the Statue of Liberty and the city skyline, and Atlantic Yachting did not disappoint. Seeing NYC from the water is a must for out of towners and locals! Our experience on the Gemini was phenomenal - from booking online, to the directions to the boat, to the crew, and the sailing itself!! Atlantic Yachtings website is fantastic. Reservations were accurate, booking and payment was easy, and direction - did I say directions - were spot on and EASY to understand!Jonathan and Logan were perfect, knowledgable, and a lot of fun! Phenomenal experience!!!We will definitely do it again when we return to NYC!
