Leslie is an excellent teacher! She is passionate about music, and is able to impart a joy for music to her students. Our girls started lessons as older beginning students. Leslie was very intentional about choosing music at their levels which was fun for them and didnt sound as simple as it was. :-) She is easy to work with and is a very good communicator through emails, texts, and Zoom. She even made it possible for my girls to continue lessons throughout the pandemic over Zoom when the music studio was closed for on-site lessons. I would highly recommend Leslies Music Studio to anyone seeking an extremely qualified, caring piano teacher.

My daughter loves her piano lessons with Leslie! She is so kind and patient. I love the focus on music theory and the quarterly group lessons where the students can interact and hear others play. The recital location is nice and gives kids an opportunity to play on a very nice grand piano! Leslies communication is top notch, emailing monthly newsletters and texting music samples to help the kids practice at home. Weve been with Leslie for 6 months now and hope to be with her for the long run! She has helped nurture our daughters love of music!

We have had Leslie as a piano teacher for two years.Initially, I started taking piano lessons from Leslie. She worked hard to make sure I enjoyed learning to play the piano. When I had difficulty mastering a skill or concept, Leslie was able to identify other methods to help me learn.When my 8 year old son decided he was ready to take lessons again, I knew that Leslie would be a good teacher for him. She has shown him patience and kindness through encouragement when the skills have been challenging for him. She works hard to make learning engaging and fun for the kids. When he shows signs of getting bored with the music he is learning, she is quick to find pieces that engage him.My son really looks forward to the group lessons that Leslie puts together. They are a nice supplement to the individual lessons. The kids get to support and encourage each other’s piano playing while participating in fun games to learn new or solidify old music concepts.I greatly appreciate her dedication to meeting each student where they are at while figuring ways to help them grow.

We have been with Ms. Leslie since July and both of our kiddos love it. She is very disciplined about time which has taught kids a valuable lesson. She is friendly, kind, and super fun. My son practices his piano without me reminding or asking him. He loves all the music and theory he gets to learn with Ms. Leslie. Also, the performances and the recital is so special. Our kiddos always look forward to group lessons since they enjoy them so much. Yes, there is tuition fee you pay to have your kids learn music but actually they are learning a life skill which will stay with them forever. Ms. Leslie works with each kid individually and help them learn efficiently. Our kids have the utmost respect and love for her. We are so blessed to have her as a teacher and a role model for our children.

Leslie is a wonderful teacher and I would highly recommend her!! We switched to her a few years ago and my daughter has made so much progress! Leslie does a great job keeping her challenged but also making sure she is having fun. She has several recitals throughout the year and also provides opportunities for her students to attend piano festivals. She is very kind-hearted. In fact, my daughter just recently chose Leslie as her Kindest Kansas Citian for her school project which I think says a lot about Leslies character!

Leslie is an amazing teacher! My daughter has been taking lessons for about a year and enjoys the way that Leslie makes it fun all the while learning. She has many different recitals and other festvals throughout the year. The amount of growth I have seen in my daughter is amazing!

We have been with Leslie for almost two years. Her teaching style is very supportive and encouraging. She offers many different performance opportunities throughout the year as well. We have been very happy with the music program she offers and with her guidance.

Very nice music, room but in an apartment building, so I never felt safe letting my kids walk in or out alone. One minute early or one minute late, she let you AND your kids know about how very valuable her time is. Very condescending attitude toward parents, though friendly but stern with the kids. Better not be late either or you and your kids will hear it. I dont pay people to treat me like that.

Our beginner 7 year old son has been taking lessons from Leslie for 4 months and he loves it! She is very good with him and he has been progressing quickly. We highly recommend her studio.

Leslie is a kind, patient, and understanding piano teacher. I have enjoyed seeing my daughter progress over the past year and a half. My daughter might not want to practice for me, but she certainly wants to practice for Leslie.
