Mary Lorraine’s Dance Center has been our family’s home since 2004 and we could not imagine having our girls dance anywhere else. Our children have taken almost all the different styles of dance offered and in each and everyone the teachers have been outstanding! The modest costumes and the expectation to show up in appropriate attire for class is appreciated. And let’s not forget the life longs skills beyond dance they are taught…respect, punctuality, committment, leadership and adaptability.

My oldest daughter danced here for 9 years, my younger daughter 12, going on her 13th, and I couldnt be happier. Reasonable prices, age appropriate music, dances and costumes, and professional instruction not just in dance but in life. The studio is family friendly, and we couldnt have asked for a better experience for our kids. Would, and do, recommend this studio to any and everyone looking for a place to start, or continue, their dance career!

We have three daughters who danced at MLDC and two of them were part of the competition team. We spent 11 years and many hours at the studio.Mary Lorraine, Ms.Kelly, Ms Deb, Ms Sam, andMs Maddy were great teachers and role models for our girls. Out girls were exposed to Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, Lyrical and Hip Hop.I highly recommend the studio! Very affordable, excellent teachers and a fantastic dance program for competitive dance or non competitive dance.

Our daughters first 11 years with ML prepared her for acceptance to a competitive dance degree and a pro career on stage. She is now a proud MLDC Master Class instructor. The studio standards have always been high, but students LOVE the variety and challenges. Her staff of qualified teachers motivate participation, build self-esteem, and make dance class a fun time not to be missed. Considering all that, tuition and concert fees are the best bargain in the Omaha area.

I spent 15 years dancing at Mary Lorraine’s dance Center. For me ML Dance Center is the perfect balance every student needs. You learn discipline but in a loving manner. You are able to be a competitive dancer but not be weighed down with crazy costs or hours at the studio. Instead, you receive quality training and are still able to participate in other activities. But it also gave me great training to be excepted into a conservatory of dance, receive my degree in dance, and I now am a professional dancer and have worked on cruise ships and in Christmas shows!

Ive only been here a handful of times, but each time I drop in, the classes seem to be full of happy students. I know that they take great care to follow CDC guidelines for Covid-19 protocols so I feel safe entering the facility....even with families and children running about! Im sure its hard to corrale everyone in a safe way and they seem to not only keep everyone safe but also produce some amazing dancers!

We are a family that is on our third generation of dancers at MLDC. We absolutely love Mary, Maddie and all of the other wonderful, skilled instructors. Mary Lorraine brings decades of experience as a teacher of dance. As someone who has had several dance teachers over the years(Im 60 and have danced since I was 4) I know what a professional teacher looks like and MLs Dance Studio is it. MLDC is home for me!! I have been dancing at this studio since I was 3 years old! My favorite weekend is recital weekend. Being able to show off all of our hardwork is and was the best feeling in the world. I have made lifelong friendships at the studio and continue to make friendships. This studio has taught me great ballet technique that helped me during my high school years in dance team. My teachers taught me great time management skills that helped me through college. Dance also taught me how to be flexible and disciplined in my everyday life as an adult. This year marks my 24th dance recital with MLDC and I have never been disappointed on how it turns out.

During my high school years, my first dance teacher retired and she introduced me to MLDC. I have been associated with the studio in various capacities ever since – over 30 years! As an adult I remained a student and was on the teaching staff for several years. MLDC is a fantastic studio – very affordable and technically strong and is always my first recommendation for anyone looking for a quality dance experience in the Omaha metro.

We have been at the studio for years and couldnt be happier! Our girls are getting a high-quality dance education while learning proper technique and terms. Best of all, the costumes, choreography, and songs are all very age-appropriate! Sadly, this is not the case at many studios. Everything is extremely well-run and organized with a lot of communication from Mary Lorraine and the teachers. All costs and expectations are explained up front, so there are no surprises. This is all true for both the rec classes as well as the competition-level classes. We love our MLDC family and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a family-friendly studio.

We have been part of the MLDC family since my daughter started dancing 13 yrs ago. I chose MLDC because I had a college friend that dances there. I thought my daughter would take dance for a few years, learning balance and rythm and move on. We didnt know what were in for. In the 13 years my daughter has danced it has been wonderful watching her learn and grow as a dancer but watching all the other ways shes grown at MLDC has been outstanding. In addition to dance she has become more confident in all aspects of her life. She has learned perseverance, work ethic, compassion, empathy, modesty and so much more than I can say in a review. MLDC really has become part of our family and we wouldnt want to be anywhere else!

This program is a good place for your youngsters to learn courtesy, appreciation, kindness, and friendship in addition to the technique of dance.

My girls loved their time here. Classes are well-organized, upbeat, and taught well (some by Mary Lorraine herself.) The girls enjoyed their recitals, and the costumes and dances were age appropriate, which I cant say is true for past places weve been at. Would have kept coming, if the girls didnt want to try something new when it was time to sign up again. Cant recommend enough!

My eldest daughter just completed her third year. She loves her classes! The teachers are professional with genuine love and concern for the students. The shows are well organized and a delight to watch. I am thrilled that my middle daughter is old enough to take lessons in the fall! We highly recommend this dance studio.

We have been at Mary Lorraines Dance Center for 7 years and have 3 dancers there. They participate in multiple classes because the reasonable prices allow us the opportunity to do so. Our girls love the individual attention they get in a fun and professional atmosphere. The teachers are knowledgeable and pick age appropriate dances and costumes. Our girls also take part in the competition team and love the confidence they get from dancing on stage! I highly recommend this studios friendly atmosphere=)

Our daughter has been a student at Mary Lorraines Dance Center since 2006. She started with just a ballet/tap combo class and is now taking ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop and is a member of the competition team. Thanks to Mary Lorraine and her wonderful staff, our daughter is a very confident young woman. The staff all take time to help build their self-esteem and teach the kids what it means to be a lady/gentleman. I have three daughters that have danced at this center for four years now. My youngest had been in Mary Lorraines preschool class for two years and she is great her classes and keeping their attention. The older two have taken classes from several of the other teachers also and we adore Miss Kelli and Miss Kaitlyn! This studio always teaches age appropriate dance and has age appropriate costumes. The older girls are great role models for my younger daughters and Im proud to consider this our dance family.

Our son has been dancing at Mary Lorraines Dance Center for the past 5 years and we wouldnt have him dance anywhere else. We love the professionalism of the staff and the compassionate way they care about the kids and families. The teachers, whether they have a child in class or not, are familiar with all the kids and treat them all with respect and genuine encouragement. Our son, who doesnt come from a dance family, wanted to dance and from the moment I talked with Mary Lorraine about his desire to try dance, she has given us great advice and encouraged him to be an example for other boys. At age 11, he is already planning on how hell manage dance and other activities while in high school and he has a goal to be a senior dancer at the spring recital. There is a nice balance between the students preparing for recitals, honing their dance skills for future experience and those who are competing in locally held competitions. Its a great family atmosphere and overall great value for the investment. I highly recommend this studio for anyone seeking quality dance instruction.

My daughters have been involved w/ MLDC for over ten years. If you want your child in a dance studio involved with inappropriate dance outfits dancing to risque music, this is not the place for you. If you want your child to learn the technical and historical aspects of dance as well as have fun while learning a variety of dance genres, then this is the place for you and your child(ren). My almost 6 year old is going into her 3rd year at this studio and we couldnt be happier! Mary Lorraine has been her teacher for the last 2 years and Im amazed at how much dance knowledge my daughter has learned! The dances and costumes are age appropriate, there are no hidden fees, everything is top notch. They will work with you on whatever you need and are always there to help. I have been involved with Mary Lorrainess Dance Center for many years now - as a student, as a parent, and as a student again. I have a great appreciation for the hard work and dedication to the student by Mary Lorraine and all her staff. They not only teach the art and technique of dance but also self disipline, good work habits, caring for others, and building friendships. I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for dance instruction for yourself at any age or your children!

We had bad experience with this school. My daughter studied there for about 2 years.- After my daughter studies for a while, there will be an open class where parents can get into the class room to see their children dance. To me, this is an end of class review to show how much my daughter has learned during the class. But I was surprised later to know that this open class is the first day of a new course. We planned to attend this class then we took my daughter for a month vacation. When we came back, school still charged the whole course tuition fee to my credit card. My wife asked and got the explanation from the owner that our daughter already took first day of new class (the open invited parent day) so we must pay for the whole course regardless of my daughter attending class or not. Surprise!!!- Another surprise is: my wife already informed the owner please not to charge to my credit card but still there is a charge appeared, my wife asked and got the explain that my request need to be 30 days prior than the billing cycle. For example, if Aug 12 is the due day, my wife needs to inform school before July 12 to be able not to be auto charged. In my case, my wife inform not soon enough (not enough 30 days prior) so I wont get reimbursement.- My wife talked to the owner to explain about the situation, the owner really gave my wife no options other than taking the whole tuition fee. In common sense, the business should arrange somehow to make their client happy, for example: make up class, or portion reimbursement. Instead, the owner said: you already attended the first day so your child booked the place so other children cant get that so you have to pay in full. Considering we are a long term client there (more than 2 years), that explanation is litter bitter to us.- So my wife was unhappy with the owners explanation and decided to quit (By that we also lost the deposit for recital fee which paid upfront). My wife called our credit card company to dispute the charge but the owner fought back hard by sending to the bank the signature that my wife signed on the client agreement to prove that the charge was legal. The bank resolved that case in favorite to the owner (and we had never got that charge back).- My wife got upset and did some actions on her social networks to let people in her networks know about our case. The owner hired the attorney to go after my wife and forced her to erase/withdrawn all of her comments in her social networks.- By the way, I am talking about a charge to our credit card which is not accepted to reimburse by the owner and that charge is as huge as $90.- My notes to the owner: although on the paper you may be right, although my wife signed on the policy (on the first day 3 years ago of visiting your school, she was busy to watch out our daughter so she did not read the whole of dozen pages policy books – and she never had that book- to remember everything she signed and she was not given a copy of what she signed), clearly you had an unhappy client on the charge of $90, again, just $90. I wonder what prevented you to give my wife a better options other than: “No, you had to pay in full because you attended first class already and other kids can’t take your spot”. Just to make your client happy. I wonder what you did with other parents who had same situation like us.

My children have been taking dance classes at MLDC for 6 years, and our family could not be more thrilled! From a parents perspective, MLDC is a caring and nurturing environment where the students can learn a wide variety of dance styles as well as martial arts. There is something for everyone, whether they are taking dance merely for fun and exercise, or whether they prefer competition and advanced classes. I appreciate that Mary Lorraine strives for appropriate/modest costuming and music selection, and her productions are always creative and entertaining! She and her staff treat the students as family. One thing I have really enjoyed is how the advanced students assist the younger classes. These young ladies have been wonderful role models, are enthusiastic and very patient! My children have enjoyed each of the teachers we have had. I feel they have always been patient, caring, and very well qualified. Parents are given opportunities throughout the year to sit in on classes to see the progress of their students throughout the year. Mary Lorraine does such a great job of keeping families involved. We feel so lucky to be a part of MLDC. I highly recommend this studio!

I grew up with Mrs. Mary Lorraine teaching me as a child at a previous studio in Omaha, and when it came time for that studio to close came to MLs studio as a young adult, and continued to take lessons till I was married and pregnant with my first child.I now have 2 daughters dancing there, with my oldest starting her 5th year and her little sister starting her 2nd year. What sets MLs studio apart from the rest is the love and devotion that she puts into this studio and her choice of staff. Always making sure that the right choices are made on the behalf of her students. And very much making it a family affair with the chance for every family member to have a part in your dancers journey if you so choose to.The Teachers at this studio along with all of its WONDERFUL students deserve the best and they all work LONG HARD hours to achieve it. My children adore there teachers and friends at this studio and the life skills that you learn while dancing are irreplaceable. When you factor in a top notch studio that your learning these life skills at, your child/children become unstoppable adults.To Mary Lorraine and all her WONDERFUL teachers, please keep doing all that you do, if it aint broke, dont fix it .. to make it 25 plus years, you’re doing something right.

There are classes offered that anyone can do and accomplish.The prices are affordable as well. I will be graduating this year and will miss the opportunities provided by MLDC. I have had three dancers at MLDC starting way back in 2008. I currently have two dancers at MLDC. One has been on the competitive team for 3 years. If you are looking for a reasonably priced studio who puts your childs dance education and well being at the top of their priorities, this is your studio. The costumes and music are always tasteful and age appropriate as well as creative and fun. All of the instructors have a passion for dance and teaching and are kind and encouraging.. The fee schedule, policies, and all costs are laid out ahead of time so there are no surprises. The online fee paying system has really simplified paying for dance. MLDC really isnt just a dance studio, it is a dance family. From the older girls, to the instructors, down to the little preschoolers. We all encourage one another and are excited to dance for MLDC!!!
