We could not be happier with Ladybird! We switched our 3.5 year old daughter to Ladybird from another big chain daycare center and are so happy with the decision. They provide clean, safe, and loving environment for the kids. My daughter loves to learn and is learning so much more here. Our infant started at 3 months with a big attachment to mom and now prefers to be at the daycare with her teachers! We get updates continuously throughout the day and anytime I have called, emailed or messaged through the app the response is almost immediately.

We just completed my sons kindergarten entrance test and he got a 98/100. I cannot recommend Ladybird Academy of Avalon Park enough. I am beyond grateful with Mrs. Iris who patiently has been teaching my son and also for challenging him to his fullest potential. My son is going to kindergarten already knowing how to read sight words, count by 2s, 5s & 10s, adding/subtracting and so much more. Thank you so much Mrs. Iris and Mrs. Luz for such an amazing care and instruction.

We are very happy at Ladybird Academy of Avalon Park. Teachers and administrators are loving with our children while providing quality education and guidance/discipline as necessary to ensure that all children have a positive environment in the classroom. One item worth highlighting is how accommodating they were with our older daughter, who needed another option for summer camp on short notice. They got her right in, and she loved it! There are many special events where families can participate in the classroom - parties, reading days, Grandparents day, etc. We love the instruction, compassion, and flexibility at Ladybird of Avalon, and their leadership team is knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended!

She absolutely loves Ms. Sandra in the infant room and we always feel comfortable and at peace while she is at daycare. I love that they are clean, safe, friendly and have a convienent app where we can see all the details of her care that day and they also have a video service where you can see the classroom.

All 3 of my children have attended Ladybird Academy of Avalon Park and the experience has been priceless for all of them. The staff has been supportive and caring throughout the years and the environment has consistently remained clean. Learning occurs in each class and the proof is in all the projects and daily assignments that comes home each day with my daughter. Brightwheel also helps us as parents to feel connected with the daily activities. Continue to strive for excellence Ladybird of Avalon!

Our son has been with LadyBird Academy in Avalon Park for over 3 years. We love it there. The staff is very friendly. The teachers have been great. They seem to have a great curriculum in place, even starting at a young age. The facility is warm/inviting, and very secure. They have an outdoor playground. They have good technology to communicate with me. They offer fun activities & parties for the holidays (trunk or treat most recently), and also offer a monthly parents night out. Most importantly, my son loves it!

Weve had both our kids here for six months and have been happy. The teachers seem to really love the kids and my children are happy to go to school. We havent used the camera system because we never felt that we needed to. The school is always very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this school to others.

Woman at front desk on 12/13 at 7:45am does not greet me in particular. This is a principal of customer acknowledgement; not that I need anyone to speak to me.I rarely drop my daughter off...this is at least the second time she’s said nothing. She did, however, greet the 2 dads that came in after me.Check the cameras.Other than that, the bus driver is cool and others they interact with my daughter.

My daughter has been at Ladybird now for 2 weeks and has loved every minute of it. This was after we ripped her out of Primrose school of Oviedo. This is a place where children can have fun and learn at the same time, watching on the camera at home is fun also. She loves it so far, every day I get an email showing what activities they did for the day

Our 5 year old is enrolled in the VPK program at Ladybird in Avalon. We chose this school because of the schools curriculum, friendly staff, school/staff values and the cleanliness of the school itself. My daughter loves attending and has learned SO much in just this past year. Shes going to be more than prepared to enter Kindergarten in the fall. Its a wonderful facility!

So far my 6 month old as been with Ladybird @ Avalon for nearly 3 months. The service is above average and the teachers do seem to love the babies. Im pleased and hope to keep him there. Most of all, I love the fact that they have a surveillance system in the rooms. Im already on pins and needles because I had to go back to work and leave my baby with strangers so the camera makes it so much easier for me.In regards to the poster named Miriam. I Googled her name and she comes up as the Director of a competing daycare center. Frankly, how dare she come on here and bad mouth another daycare center when her child probably doesnt even go there. That is in such bad taste.I really dont have an issue with the daycare not greeting the parents at the door.___________________________________Edited on 12-3-13I posted my initial review a while back and I just wanted to give an update. My son is still with Ladybird Academy and I am very happy. As long as my son is happy, Im happy. I watch him on the camera and he seems to be content throughout the day and when I pick him up. I highly recommend the school and I look for him to be there until its time to go to kindergarten, although he has a ways to go for that. The Director Lissette is the greatest and always greeting the parents and so is Hanna. They really seem to love the children and thats what you want for your child when youre not around.

Awesome staff! My daughter has attended from a few months old and she is 2 now (as of Jul 2012). Shes already well ahead of the learning curve according to her Doctor. It might cost a little more than other daycares, but this facility and staff is worth every penny!

So, I just withdrew my 20 month old daughter from the Avalon Park location because of an incident that occurred on her second day there! First, she was given plain bread for lunch because she had meat restriction (beef/pork only). There was no restriction on poultry and they had turkey dogs for lunch, which the staff thought was beef so they didnt give her any! They offered her no substitutes whatsoever! Only I saw that she wasnt eating her lunch and I called and gave them a piece of my mind, did they give her actual food. After that, she woke up from nap and for some reason was seated by herself at the table and crying hysterically. Both my husband and I watched her on video, hoping one of the teachers would pick her up or at least attend to her. To our shock, our daughter cried for 15 mins or more while being ignored by the teachers. They walked by her and were busy picking up cots instead of checking up on her! What blew my mind was when Heather at the front desk covered up for them by saying, they have other kids to take care of. You cannot expect them to hold your daughter all the time. Really? No other child needed attention at that time but her and this was her second day at a daycare away from her home, period! The next thing that came out of her mouth still makes me wonder about her sanity. The teacher didnt walk up to her but was talking to your daughter from across the room. Seriously??? Which 20 month old on this planet is genius enough to have a conversation and tell you why shes crying? I would like to bow down and touch their feet!!So, unless you plan on being glued to your phones and watching your kids all day, everyday, I wouldnt send them here.Luz, the director called us next day and apologized profusely ...it wasnt her fault but that doesnt change our minds for sure!

I am an elementary school teacher and currently have my 3 year old and 4 1/2 month old at LadyBird Academy in Avalon Park. This is my oldest childs second year and I can not say enough good things about this preschool!!! The teachers are loving, the curriculum in fun and challenging, and the directors are wonderful! My child in the baby room not only receives love from the amazing teachers but also is stimulated with games, art (baby appropriate), and tummy time! My child in the 3 year old room has learned so much already this year! Her teachers structure the day so they receive whole group learning during circle time, center time to interact with peers and learn while playing, and even small group time where they work with their teacher on the skill they are learning. I love how the projects they do help them to remember whatever skill it is they are learning. It always amazes me what she comes home knowing! In addition, the school always tries to involve parents with fun events in the classroom! Last year I attended a few classroom celebrations that both my daughter and I truly enjoyed. I would wholeheartedly recommend LadyBird Academy to anyone!

We were so lucky to have found ladybird. I had my kids on a waitlist for another local school for 8 months, the wait was finally over and we went to fill out some forms and get our daughter acquainted with the school and her teacher. The school checked all the boxes on paper of things we were looking for and had a great reputation in the community but after spending time in the classrooms we soon realized looking good on paper does not always mean it’s followed through. My husband and I went to the director and immediately told her our kids would not be attending. That’s when we found ladybird, and we couldn’t be happier. My daughter loved her Pre-K 3 teacher and now just adores her VPK teacher as well. They continue to amaze me, just last week the teachers in the infant classroom put on a little party for my son who was turning one. The teachers there show such compassion for their kids, and my daughter has learned so much. The Adminstrative staff is very involved and always there to address any concerns. You also won’t find a cleaner facility.

My 4 y/o attends the VPK class and absolutely LOVES it. Within the first week, he learned all if his shapes, learned to write his name and came home singing a plethora of songs. His teacher is amazing, and I love the the security measures that they take to keep the children safe. Definitely recommend!

I could honestly say some of the teachers are great, unfortunately it takes one bad teacher in the class to affect a child and ruin the experience for everyone.I just pulled my daughter out of there because of a lot of small issues that were not being corrected. And of course, the major issue that ultimately helped us make this decision. We have been looking around and actually had parents from other schools in the area who used to have their kids attend ladybird contact us to say why the new school is better. We wanted to take our time and find something, but today I pulled her out. She came home and said one of the teachers had hit another kid.Now this teacher is the only one my daughter hasnt been comfortable with since day 1. My daughter will say hello to all of them and hug them but not this one which to me confirms that she is not giving the kids affection and attention enough for them to warm up to her. Here are the smaller issues that added up. There is no communication between teachers. And they dont communicate with parents effectively. The teachers rotate a lot so no one ever knows if your kid actually ate their lunch, or snacks, or if they napped, how long for etc. they have an app available for parents and an app they should be updating, but it is not the case. I get the updates hours after things are done, and sometimes things that arent true. They will say my daughter are all of her food (lets day Mac and cheese), but on the camera I can see that she definitely did not even touch it. Then I go to the school and they said she ate her sandwich for sure. So which one is it?You can see a lot of times the teachers just stand there with their arms crossed watching the kids or talking to each other and kids are hysterical crying ot climbing over things. My daughter was new to a class and they moved her to a class she wasnt supposed to be at because she isnt old enough, of course she was crying, she didnt know anyone. I came to pick her up and two teachers are standing watching the kids with their arms crossed instead of helping them feel comfortable. When she was still in diapers, my husband said he picked her up 4 days in a row and she was pooped. We had to say something as she always had a rash. Now that she uses the potty, she still always has a rash because they make sure she is wiping well. The kids are always sick! I understand is a daycare and it happens, kids rotate when they get sick. But I mean always sick. When we first did our tour they said they disinfect the toys daily. I personally havent seen it done. There is so much more and honestly, too long to tell, but one thing I will say. The director will not help you feel better at all. The assistant director is amazing, but the director has no regards for your feelings, opinions, questions or concerns. If at a possible I will suggest looking else were. It is not a bad place per say but I not recommended it.

In the time that Ive been there I have notice that the owners or the director/ front desk personal do not greet the parents with children as they walk in. They cone the covered drive-in so parents cant park there to drop off their kids. Owners are there for the money. They are very unfriendly.
