My daughter has been attending Ladybird Lake Nona for almost 4 years and we have had such a positive experience. Each teacher has been nothing but loving toward her. She has learned and grown every step of the way -- from learning to walk to potty-training to reading. The curriculum is strong and Im impressed how far she has come. Best of all, she loves it there...her friends, her teachers, the whole school. I cant recommend Ladybird enough!

As any parent knows, finding someone you can in trust your kids with can be a daunting task. Ladybird Lake Nona has earned our complete trust! Our kids love going to Ladybird. They are well stimulated throughout the day with circle time, crafts, and outside play. We have developed great relationships with all of the teachers. I find the teachers treat them with as much love as if they were their own. Every drop off/pick up I get a warm greeting upon walking in the door. The communication between teachers/management has been great. I feel like we are always in the know. Having a place we can take our kids that we trust 100% and that our kids love, is priceless.

We toured Ladybird Academy in early December and felt the director was knowledgeable and transparent with all of our questions. It is our understanding that this location has a new director in the past year, and has worked hard to become accredited which we value. Our daughters class provides us information continuously throughout the day about her progress. We are overwhelmingly happy.

Ladybird Academy is a great place for early childhood education! I feel 100% confident in regards to the safety and well being of my child. My son is always happy when he is picked up! They are excellent in communicating any information, news, issues/concerns pertaining to the school and my child. As a parent, I make sure to spend additional learning time at home, however, the educational program provided to my son has definitely enriched his skill level in all academic areas. The teachers and staff are wonderful - always smiling! I ensure that Lake Nona Ladybird is stamped with approval across the board!

I have had a great experience with this facility. Between the teachers and all of the management staff. Each morning the management at the front greet you with smiles and are very organized with the staff and the children. Lindsey and Keysha immediately help me with any questions I may have in regards to billing, curriculum etc. Anytime teachers need help I see both of them in classrooms and they never miss a beat. Seeing my child run up and give them along with the teachers hugs proves to me that I made the write decision daycare wise. I am grateful for all of the teachers and all of the management as well. They create a great place to bring my child.

I really tried to like this place as the teachers in the infant room were extremely nice but my son was always sick and constantly having to leave work to pick him up. Even more so when there was an outbreak of chickenpox thankfully my son did not get it before he was shy away from being able to get the vaccine, I felt they did not take it seriously as they should have. When he transitioned over to the toddler room, again was always sick with snot on his nose and he would be starving and tired everyday when I would pick him up, meaning he was not well fed nor took a nap (which they would document he did). It was extremely frustrating as a parent paying all that money for your child to be treated this way, might as well stay home and take care of them.

Avoid this place, this place offers you first class care and its not. Rooms run over ratio Most of the times or understaffed. The new director seems nice its welcoming, you can see her there every day and the management team as The assistant director dont welcomes you like you need and dont help the teachers in the classroom, its rude, helpless and I know now why she isnt the director there anymore. Dont offer you that confidence as a team should be And is careless as curriculum wise. As for the administrative shes very happy p, welcoming and helps a lot. You can see her at the front , in the classrooms and answer any questions that you can have, in my opinion she do more that others with more positions. If you are looking for a place dont come here.

Our son 3 year old son had been going to Lady bird for a year and half. Coming from CT to FL our goal was to find him the best place. Ladybird Academy fit that need. A couple months ago we started to have some three year old problems. We met with the teachers to come up with a plan for all of us to help him during this time. The teachers did a great job partnering with us! Our little one is almost over the problems (he is three after all so 99% better is good for us!). We always feel welcomed at pick up and drop off. When something fun happens outside of school our son cant wait to tell his teachers. That confirms to us he is well taken care of.

My mother has worked in day care for over 20 years, and Ladybird Lake Nona has passed every one of her secret tests with flying colors. My son has been at this location for about 3 years now, and even though we have moved farther away we have made the decision to stay at this location. He is happy there, loves the teachers and happily runs to hug the director Ms. Patricia. That alone tells me all I want to know. We had toured this center 6 months ago before our son was born. When he toured the infant room again week before last, it was a completely different room. Multiple children were screaming. None of the caregivers were speaking to the children and there was no infant sign language they say is used in their classrooms, even with two children who were being fed by one caretaker. A baby was picked up by their arm and basically flung into a crib to get her to be quiet. Another baby fell off a pillow onto her face and they did not pick her up the whole time we were watching. Way too many children for the three women in there to handle. It was a nightmare. We will not be sending our son there and you shouldnt either if you care about your infant.

We are extremely satisfied and to me 5 stars does not seem high enough. I genuinely feel that my son is loved and well taken care of. He has learned so much since he started in 2014. My son just turned 3 and the teachers are now working with him on potty training. It is a very clean and well run school. We love walking in and being greeted by the best director I have yet to know, Ms. Patricia. They have built several daycares in the area since 2014, some are much closer and less expensive. I cannot even entertain the thought of moving my son as we have built such a strong relationship with the director and staff. In an industry where the turnover rate is high I am so grateful to see the same smiling faces day after day. The Lady Bird Academy of Lake Nona is my sons home away from home and we could not ask for better care for him.

We have all three of our kids at ladybird. Knowing that they are surrounded by caring, dedicated staff give us peace of mind. The director and asset director immediately take action on any issues and are open to feedback and ideas for improvements. The school has multiple interaction points where parents can monitor the childs care throughout the day. The webcams in each room are a wonderful tool to watch how the day is going. Additional the Brightwheel app is updated throughout the day with what the kids are doing and any notes or reminders from the teacher. You can also send messages that teachers will immediately get and can reply too. We regularly get pictures of the kids - I get is excited when I get the notification of a new picture. I highly recommend ladybird!

Lake Nona Ladybird is a complete failure. I had my little boy there for more than a year. My son frequently had incidents attending Ladybird. One time, we got 2 incident reports in 3 days on cuts at head area. There is still a long scar on my sons face, from a scratch by other kid one year ago. Teachers have high turn-over in that facility, with most of teachers now only speaking Spanish (or bad English). Think about your kids safety before sending your kid over there. We are very happy to move my son to Primrose School.

I cant get my kid out of there soon enough. This place is terrible, and the centers director doesnt seem to know a thing about kids, or how to run a child care facility. Today while dropping my kid off I hear her yelling at the top of her lungs at a crying kid in the office. Then when we get to my kids classroom, my kid finds a disgusting cockroach on the floor (see pictures if you dont believe me). Its not the first time though... my kid did tell me about another cockroach on the ceiling one time during their snack time. Im not surprised. It doesnt seem like they ever clean this place. The tile floors and rugs always look like they havent been cleaned in days. I would understand if that was at the end of the day, but these floors look like that in the morning as kids are being dropped off. Im not sure if all Ladybird schools are like this, but Im really disappointed in the Lake Nona one... We didnt really have a choice when we signed up because there was a shortage of day cares in the area, but I think thats changing now. So my advice now is to stay clear of this place if you have a choice.

I was excited to have my little guy start at this center but I was extremely disappointed. My son attended 6 weeks at this location in the 3 year old classroom, and we had to pull him out. When my husband gave the two week notice, the only question that was asked by the director was when is his last day?. They do not care if the kids are doing well or not, the kids are simply just a number for their profits. Since day 1, the teachers made us feel like he was so behind and not performing well; however, never offered us any tips or advise on things that we can do to help him despite us asking. My son was not eating at all and no one was concerned about this. When I spoke with the assistant director about potentially bringing him some foods if he continued to not eat and she pretty much said that we were not allowed to bring him any food and even if we did and he still did not eat, then it was a behavioral issue. Very comforting huh?... Now, i fully understand their policy about not bringing any outside food unless there are allergies or dietary needs but having my child not eat the entire day is not acceptable. Especially when I hear from others who take their children to different ladybird locations that they had similar issues with their kids not eating and the school was supportive and offered options even if it was temporary. This is my sons first time in a daycare/school setting and no one even tried to ease our concerns about his transition into school or to really make him feel comfortable. The biggest thing of all was that my son who is fully potty trained was having accidents school at least 3 out of 5 days. At home and in other areas he was not having any difficulty. When i brought this up to the teacher they shared no concern and when i offered some suggestions such as encouraging additional potty breaks they stated that they have mandatory potty breaks they must offer per DCF guidelines and anything outside of that my child must communicate when he has to use the potty. Really?! Then the assistant director even made a passive aggressive comment that if he continues to have accidents they will have to place him in the lower classroom since he was not potty trained .Is it not a red flag that he stopped communicating when he had to go potty and that he is not having an issue in any other setting except school?... To top it off, on his last day at the school, I nor the director could locate my child!!!! i had to go to 3 different classrooms to find him, and when teachers were asked where my son is there was one response of I dont know by teacher he should have been with. That is completely unacceptable!!! My son was sitting at a desk playing meanwhile his classmates were outside playing on the playground or watching a movie, and this was not because of a behavioral issue. Ladybird academy voted #1 daycare in Florida is simply a popularity contest. A survey filled out by parents who then can enter a raffle to win a week of free tuition. Not really based on any objective factors. On a positive note, we were able to get my son into another school and now he is eating ALL of his food each day and has yet to have an accident at school. He is excelling as he has teachers that truly care of his well being and success and collaborate with the parents to ensure their kids are excelling.

Do NOT bring your children here. This place has gone down hill in the last year and a half. The director (Ms Patricia) left (for good reason) and it just went down hill from there. I could not get my daughter out of there fast enough. She complained on a daily basis that there wasnt any toilet paper in the bathroom, even first thing in the morning. I told the teacher many times and I also told the director that had taken over; Ms Lindsey. Ms Lindsey kept blaming it on the teacher and kept saying she was going to discipline her. Which was ridiculous because the teacher needed help; she needed an assistant/second teacher in the classroom to tend to the teaching and the kids’ needs. The director finally told me that maybe my daughter should bring in her own flushable wipes. What?! I told her this was not the solution, that ALL of the kids need to have toilet paper; this is a basic necessity. The director admitted to me they dont have a cleaning service come on a nightly basis to clean, disinfect and restock the bathrooms. This was all the responsibility of the teachers. The poor teachers that were always short handed because teachers/caregivers kept leaving due to how poorly they were treated by the administration ( as told to me by several of the teachers). The turnover was horrible. My daughter ended up having 3 different VPK teachers through the year and I cant even remember how many assistant teachers because none of them would stay. There were periods of time where the teacher was alone in the classroom with no assistant. Is this even legal? My daughter would tell me there would be cockroaches in the classroom, bathroom and kitchen. I also found out that at lunch time they wouldnt give the kids napkins. Shed come home with dried food on her clothes and Id ask her why. She told me they wouldnt give them napkins with their lunch so she had to lick her lips as best as she could and clean the rest on her clothes. I brought this up to the director many times but it was never corrected. Ms Lindsey left the Lake Nona Ladybird to go to another one but unfortunately the conditions didn’t get any better when the replacement director was hired. When I first started taking my older child there, there was always at least one person at the front desk every time I went in there. The past year and a half there was hardly anyone at the front desk, and I could wait 15 minutes or more before someone would show up. I could not wait to get my daughter out of there. I tried switching her to another VPK place in the area but they were all full. This Lake Nona Ladybird was good for the first couple of years my children went here back in 2015. It was very disappointing how quickly it went downhill after Ms Patricia left. Do not bring your children here. Its not clean, they have very high teacher/caregiver turnover because of how poorly theyre treated, they dont provide the basic necessities to the children, and the administration is uncaring and rude. Oh, and the computer room sure looks nice but unfortunately they NEVER took my daughter that was in VPK there. Not once did she go in there to get on the I-pads. I asked the teacher why and she just replied “I don’t know. Ask the director”. So apparently it’s just for looks now; it looks good for prospective customers touring the facility. My other child that went there for VPK 3 years earlier went to the computer room on a regular basis. I’m glad my children never have to set foot in that place ever again. Honestly, this place needs to be shut down.

They told me I had to come back for that then after reading all these horrible reviews I decided to listen to all the other moms and not send my child here cause if something were to go wrong with my child while in there care that would cause a huge problem . The owner that replies to the review Denys people review and that was another reason I decided to not send him at all . I then called the day care and told them I don’t wanna send my child and they told me my deposit was non refundable so basically I paid u for nothing ? She then stated the deposit is non re refundable that they should of told me that when I signed him up . Look lady if they didn’t give me a tour do U really think there going to tell me about a deposit ? Long story short I didn’t send him instead went to super kids it’s way cheaper with a better inviorment and amazing staff . If it’s one thing I learned from the internet is to read your reviews and see how the place replies to the harsh ones cause words mean a lot and these are our kids . My son spent only 1 week at this facility and I had to move him because it was such a disappointment. He now attends StarChild Academy which is absolutely awesome and my son loves it there! I found Ladybird Academy of Lake Nona very chaotic and unprofessional. There were about 17 children in the class and the two teachers in the classroom had no control of the kids whatsoever. I chose this school among other reasons because they had cameras that the parents can use to view their kids classroom remotely and everytime I checked the camera my poor son would be sitting by himself while the other kids ran about and the teachers just looked on. Another thing I didnt like about this school is that I couldnt trust the daily summary of my sons day that they provided using their web-based program Daily Connect. For example, a couple times they had on there that he had breakfast when he wasnt even there in time for breakfast, they had there once that he was playing with others at 5pm when he was already home then, another time they had him down as taking a nap at a certain time but I happened to be watching the camera at that time and knew that he definitely wasnt napping then, another time they had on there that he didnt eat lunch so I didnt know what to believe because of how inaccurate most of the information was and it made me believe that they had no idea who my son was specifically which was very worrying to me. My son didnt seem happy at the school and cried everyday when he was being dropped off. I couldnt leave him there any longer and moved him to StarChild Academy. He has only been there for 1 week and by the 3rd day he was cheering when being dropped off and couldnt wait to run off to his friends. I would not send my child to this facility! The front desk staff arent friendly at all and I wish I hadnt sent my son there to begin with.

We had to move our 8 month old little girl from this location due to concerns about her safety. The management or ownership team at this facility seem to not recall the biggest point of the high price paid to attend....CARE!! Many times they violated the 4 to 1 ratio required by law. Once my wife couldnt leave because there were 9 babies and only one worker. I had to call in and they finally put more people in the room. My girl was hit in the head by an electric swing that was moving once. After that that as I watched on the webcam I could see her dangerously close to the swing again. I had to call in to ask that someone go in and move her before she got hit. Then it almost happened again. Sure, some of the workers were great. However, I think that when the management team is weak then the in-class workers will not be motivated. They didnt even ask me any questions when I gave them 2 weeks notice I was pulling my daughter. No exit interview....NOTHING. They dont want to hear it I guess. Workers seem to leave often as well. I believe a now hiring sign has been displayed outside in their window (tacky) since day one. I have been told workers have left to work at Primrose which pays better. A neighbor of mine also took her daughter out of Ladybird and had told me of a time she saw her daughter on the webcam on a table and had to call to get someone to notice and get her down. Its supposed to be....Day....CARE!!!
