We took lessons at Arthur Murray, to learn a routine for the first dance at our wedding. We started off with this amazing instructor named Christen. She was super friendly and patient and talented and great at teaching beginners in a way we understood. Unfortunately, a few weeks into our lessons, she disappeared. We think she moved and/or switched to a different studio, but no one really communicated with us about it, and that was very frustrating.Our lessons were taken over by Dasha and Juliette. They’re both extremely talented, but weren’t quite at Christen’s level with training beginners yet, (e.g., understanding exactly what we might have issues with, being able to seamlessly swap between dancing each of our parts, etc.). We did gradually learn a lovely routine though, a combination of Christen’s started choreography and our new instructors’ additions.Then, COVID struck. Our wedding was delayed and the dance studio was even closed for a while. By this point, the whole routine was roughly choreographed, so we could at least still do some practicing on our own. Eventually, our new wedding date loomed near and we couldn’t avoid using the rest of our prepaid lessons, if we wanted our money’s worth. However, with immunocompromised guests at our wedding, we were trying to be as careful as possible. Dasha was amazing in this regard, willing to meet us at the studio first thing in the morning, so we could have the studio to ourselves and be in there before anyone else for the day, and wear a mask for us when she wouldn’t have otherwise. She really went above and beyond to address our concerns and still work with us.Overall, a good experience. We wish someone had chatted with us when Christen left, as we kept expecting her to return (we were originally told in passing that she was visiting family) and were really disappointed and confused when she never did. But otherwise, we came away with a beautiful dance (our photographer said it was the best first dance he’d ever seen) and give four thumbs up for Dasha’s great attitude.

Love it!! I was very hesitant but have enjoyed the dance lessons. Great way to spend our evenings dancing, getting exercise and meeting new people. Try it and dance the night away💃🏼🕺🏻

I have wanted to take Ballroom dance classes since Highschool (I know, I am weird and proud of it ;p) I finally had to time and decided to check out this studio, and I am extremely glad that I did. The staff is very knowledgable and easy to work with. You never feel like an outsider or like dance is something only other people can do. The teachers are very encouraging and patient. If there is anything that you are struggling with or have a question about do not hesitate to let them know. Also, the other students that attend this studio are amazing as well. Even the other students make you feel welcome and are encouraging when it comes to dancing. I didnt feel like anyone was judging me even when I was messing up and had to ask questions about how to do something. The owners are also very helpful and actively involved with the studio, this was a very refreshing thing. I do not know about other studios, but I have been to other types of businesses where the owners are not involved and it makes it difficult sometimes around the shop. All -in-all I would definitely recommend Arthur Murray Waterford Lakes studio to anyone wanting to learn Ballroom dance. Also, there are many dances you wouldnt think would be Ballroom but are, I was very surprised at how many dances I have had the opportunity to learn since starting here in June 2019.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They are well trained professionals and genuinely desire to see their students progress. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There is always a smiling face to greet you and to encourage you as you pursue your goals. If youve ever considered dance lessons give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

For our wedding, my husband and I did not want our first dance to be the high school sway because let’s face it, everyone would get bored after a minute of that. Therefore, we decided to take dance lessons at Arthur Murray in Waterford Lakes because my wedding planner had recommended them. We both had never done any kind of ballroom dancing and before starting lessons, my husband and I were terrible dancers. I’m not saying we are awesome now, but we are passable at least.After talking with one of the instructors, we decided to go with 12 private lessons. Private lessons are expensive, but it was an investment that we wanted to make. For our location, the pricing came out to be about $80 for each 45-minute lesson for the two of us. In the end, the cost was definitely worth it for us. Something that you and your partner have to keep in mind is you will not get better overnight. You have to allot enough time before your wedding to take the lessons and to practice, practice, practice to make them worth it.Our instructor ended up being Antonio and he was so sweet and very patient with us. He choreographed the whole dance and even added some more complicated moves that looked really beautiful, but were within our comfort zone to perform. I was worried about dancing in my dress because it was a lot of dress. When bustled, it was like a ball gown skirt. So, Antonio did a free 15-minute practice run-through with me in my dress and shoes to make sure I would know how it would feel dancing and to help me adjust my movements as needed so I would not fall flat on my face.In the end, we had a beautiful first dance. Thanks to all the practice, no one even noticed when we messed up at one part because we had practiced how to recover and to just keep dancing.

I have visited several dance studios in the Orlando area, and I can honestly say that this is the BEST place to learn to dance! I have been dancing here for more than 2 years and I absolutely love this studio. The owners have created a unique environment filled with fun, positivity, and talent. The staff is incredibly friendly and will always try to make you feel welcome and comfortable. There is a great mix of students, of all ages and abilities, so you wont feel out of place. The studio offers private lessons where you can work on a wedding routine, improve your social dancing, or prepare for a competition. There are also group classes and practice parties to help you learn new skills. So if youre looking to dance, make friends, lose weight, or just have fun, then this is the place to be!

We had our first dance for our wedding choreographed here. The instructor did a great job, however they are very pushy when it comes to getting you to sign up for events and other dance classes. The pressure sometimes made us feel uncomfortable. Overall, terrific studio but clearly they are trying to get more business.

The owners are interested in what is important to each student and that is reflected in the instructors. I feel so alive on the dance floor, with my heart expressed as I learn new moves to music of my choosing. I enjoy the three in-studio parties each week where students have the opportunity to practice social dancing with a variety of partners with different proficiencies.Ive made new friends and enjoy the variety of social events including partnering with other Arthur Murray studios.

Arthur Murray Waterford Lakes is the best Dance School. My wife and I have tried a few different schools and like this the best. The people are great and our dancing has improved a lot.

Started classes in January with my wife to prepare for our sons wedding. I have two left feet and thought it would be tough to learn but the instructors are thoughtful about individual needs and take their time. My wife and I are both thrilled with the atmosphere, teaching techniques and attention to detail that the staff takes with all the classes. Five stars is not enough to discribe the experience.

If youre thinking about learning to dance, there is no better place!! The instructors are very knowledgeable, and everyone is friendly. Also, theres a great mix of experience levels and age groups among the students. Highly Recommended!!

Id recommend this studio for anyone from 1st timers to advanced dancers. It is a bright, beautiful new facility, but its greatest asset is its quality instructors. My teachers make learning so fun and work hard to help me improve as a dancer. I have found this to be a place where the students are their top priority.

Even with my balance issues, I feel secure trying new steps with his support.The studio is big, bright, and impediment free. Nice place, could be a little bit cleaner, and they really pressure you to buy. That being said I enjoyed the time I was there. I dont know if it was worth a few hundred dollars, but I did learn a few steps, and if the price didnt jump up so high for their next level I may have continued.

I love my dance lessons! I was really anxious and nervous the first time I stepped through the door, but my teacher, Brian, immediately put me at ease. He is very positive and high fives me every time I do something well. I have a tremendous amount of fun learning to dance with him and I look forward to my lesson every week.

My husband bought me ballroom dance lessons with Arthur Murray (AM) as a birthday gift. He knew I would love the gift, because we are avid watchers of Dancing With the Stars, and I pestered him about how much I loved dancing with him (we fell in love as dancers performing in Kismet many years ago). Since then, we have been taking lessons as a couple, and have experienced several of the Central Florida AM studios. Walked in shortly after the studio opened in 2015 and havent stopped dancing. Way more fun than the gym. Exercise for the mind and the body. The staff is super friendly and professional. I am so grateful of my experience with all of the wonderful instructors at Arthur Murray at Waterford Lakes. From the beginning it has been an amazing experience.

Me & my wife signed up for 6 lessons and to say it was wasted time and money would be an understatement. Our instructor started out by jumping from one dance to another , never giving us an opportunity to learn one dance completely. Other members of the staff did not become friendly until after our 5th lesson and it was time for us to think about renew our contract. We tried another instructor but felt like he was upset with us because we voiced our opinion about our original instructor. My wife just spoke to the owner who stated to her that if we didnt want to come back that was ok and to call in the future if we change our minds.If you are first time learners such as me and my wife I would highly recommend finding a studio that will help you and not just take your money. Lessons are taught while several other lessons are going on with the music constantly changing. Not an environment to learn in. Extremely diusappointed.

After asking on 2 occasions to speak with a manager I feel a bit frustrated by being ignored.
