So far it has been a positive experience but the school year is yet young. We will have to see how it ishould as time goes along. The most positive I can say is THANK GOD there is a bus providing transportation if not she would not of attended there.

The school is very beautiful but so far very disorganized and not parent friendly. Theres not enough parking. Parking is on the grass even if its wet outside, and pickup takes hours and is a hassle, since the pickup line area is too small for such a huge school. Other than that, we shall see what it will bring for the 2016-17 school year! Good luck to all the kids!

Today on May 14th, 2018I am so truly disappointed on this morning display of adults who we leave our children to get an education treat babies as if they are nothing but them getting their check!!! The traffic was horrible to drop off the kids and why cause it was pouring raining and when you would think they would put the safety of the children 1st!!! No the let the children stay out side in the rain to be given a tardy slip. No exceptions nothing!!! Not one staff had the Common courtesy to allow the kids to at least enter the cafeteria so they do not get soak and wet. No consideration nothing and it saddens me as a mother to not only see my child but other children as well being treated in such a matter!! While the Staff stay nice and dry kids are getting wet and a chance at getting sick. Who will then be called for the schools actions on this matter? Who will pay for the doctor visit? Who will pay for the medication? And who will pay the parents for missing work cause the must stay home to care for their ill child?? Im truly annoyed by this and like always nothing will happen nor will they be any Consequences!!! You should be ashamed and I as a parent will continue to take actions and report this till something is done for future time so no child is treated like this again!! We do not have control of the weather but we can have a solution to making sure the kids are safe!!

Parents who are thinking about enrolling their kids into this school. Be prepared to wait one and a half to two hours to pick up your child in the afternoons. The parking lot is too small for such a large school.

I love this school and my son teacher is nice but my only concern is why theirs no buses that come and pick the kids up I think my son has no right to walk along that big intersection n theirs not enough crossing guards to begin with n they are children that walk by them selves and they are in kindergarten and up

So much to say about this school, and yes its all negative.1. Drop off/pick up is not done efficiently, takes way too long.2. Doors are locked till 8:10, and if your child(If they are a drop off student) tries to enter the cafeteria they are scolded by an employee. The kids are told to make sure their parents drop them off in the drop off lane and that this is the only time they are gonna be allowed to enter the cafeteria. Basically he acts as the bouncer of the cafeteria.3. NOT PARENT FRIENDLY.Example: Had a staff member knock on my car window rudely then yank open my passenger door. Then asked if this was my child, I said yes and she scolded me as tho I was a child. The mistake was by the school itself. They bumped my daughter up to 1st grade then never told me that I had to change the card for pick up. The staff member had such a attitude and nearly crushed my child as she slammed the door in my face as I was asking her what her name was. She said she didnt need to tell me and I asked 2 other ladies who were helping kids into their vehicles what the ladys name was, they were hesitant to tell me. As a parent I feel I have the right to know who is around my child. I pulled forward then spoke to the principal but I highly doubt this woman will be spoken to. Looks can be deceiving, this school is aesthetically pleasing but doesnt have much else going for it. Maybe in a few yrs the bad apples will fall and things will improve but for me, Im going to try my hardest to get my child back into Palmetto Elementary.

I share some of the views that the parents have about the disorganization about limited parking the line for drop-off and pick-up ridiculous. I would like to say I had a positive meeting this morning with the school officials and my grandsons teacher but then later on that day I had my daughter call me and give me some very disturbing news that my grandson had an accident on his self and was sent to the office. The accident was a very nasty situation as they allowed my grandson to sit in his feces and he was asleep on a chair and almost fell off. They had a shower in the nurses office but instead he was wrapped in plastic bags why??? The problem with their staffing is that they have no control over how they react. If that was their child and the shoe was on the other foot they probably would have cut up really bad and be very angry. Me on the other hand staying calm my only complaint is I can write a review whoever reads it just be sure that if you get a call from the school and your child has had an accident be expected to see the worst. I hope to not have any other incidents like this as I will be the one calling about child neglect of this school. Pure disgust and not even necessary to put a child through or in that situation. Remember they are children not ADULTS who have it all figured out or think they do. 😣😤😤😠 SO TODAY 10/11 my grandson has been labeled DANGEROUS (for defending himself) and this will follow him to future schools. Well I can only assume the message I sent to the school vie FB and this review may have REFLECTED upon how they have treated this particular child or any child for that matter. Change needs to happen and oh well we are already divided as nation anyway. You must now fend/stand for yourself

I hate this school with a passion. They make it very inconvenient for parents to pick up their kids. My daughter will not be attending this school next year.
