Great school and thats a understatement. Exceptional teaching. Great staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. This school has come a long way. A school. The review about gunshots in the neighborhood and locking the school down is absurd. And if it did happen Im sure it was an isolated incident and not a reoccurring one. Definitely a bad facade of this truly beautiful amazing school. Anyone who begs to differ go see for your own eyes. Great field trips,plays and an elaborate curriculum. Students that leave this school to middle school are def. Prepared

I went to this school from 2006-2013. It was actually a good school. Most of these comments are just being racially influenced because it is in a mostly black neighborhood, but trust me this is a good school.

Very qualified teachers and strong community support. One of Orlandos best kept secrets.The new principal is constantly improving the student learning experience.

Tangelo is so much fun.I am so proud to be a Tiger.What i especially like about Tangelo Park Elementary is being able to learn with such great teachers (Ms.Hudson,Ms.Bionco,and Ms.Enchautegui.).I also enjoy being with my friends 24/7

I am 20 years old, I went to Tangelo when I was in the second grade. This school was by far one the worst schools I have ever had the displeasure of attending. I wish I could give it a lower rating. I give far warning to ANYONE who cares about their childs well being DO NOT send them to this school.I had a very difficult time at this school mainly due to racism. I am half black and half white, I was raised to be well spoken and I guess you could say somewhat proper? Because of this and the way I hold myself I was bullied and made fun of for acting White and I was told my skin was too light.The ONLY teacher that gave a damn about me was a SUBSTITUTE teacher, who just happened to be white. Every other educator was completely unprofessional and down right mean.One day on a Sunday about a week before school my family drove by the school and the PRINCIPLE of all people was outside painting the walls, what?? Why is this school still open?? Why is everyone over looking this place?? I know for a fact, whether my child is black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Indian.. Ect. I would never, ever let them go to this school.In conclusion, this school is not a place for learning. If you have a choice in where your child goes to school do not let it be Tangelo Park Elementary.

Tangelo park elementary has been around for a very long time.since like 1955. I agree it does need to be remodeled but why would you be crying because of how the outside looks?? On the inside of that school are hardworking dedicated teachers and staff that have been there for years.my son is excited about school everyday excited about learning.forthe lady whos child learned the N word Im sorry to hear that. But you can not be upset with the teachers. parents fail to realize that you are your childs first teacher and what you do they copy.sad to say black people period Throw the N word around. So you should have been prepared for what comes along with enrolling your child in a predominantly black school. Come on guys lets be realistic.

I start by saying how good an excellent teacher has to give the extra mile for my son who is currently studying here but I dont like the school since it is not safe I had a very bad experience with my son they sent him on another bus and nobody noticed If it is not because I call the school, nobody took responsibility for this, my child is only in kindergarten. We are newcomers to the state. They bully him and do nothing.

Excellent staff, nice and helpful, grateful for the education my son receives day by day thanks Tangelo Park !!
