Absolutely RUDE workers! Right when you Google pumpkin patch in Orlando this is one of the first things that pops up. And its from 2020 theres nothing for 2021 so I assumed it was $5 a person. But when we got there they said 15 per person. I said on the website it says $5 a person and the lady said excuse me sweetheart you need to refresh your page because that was like 5 years ago. But as you can see it was actually just last year. So they were trying to charge us for our whole family $75 to get in just to pay money for a pumpkin and everything else is also separate. I just couldnt believe how rude she was and we drove over an hour to get there. But if you just go 10 minutes up the road to Hagerty High School they are very nice theyre very helpful and it doesnt cost to get in. Theres corn hole and amazed you can bring your dog and theres pumpkin checkers. I will never go there again because the owners are absolutely rude at painted Oaks Academy. I tried to leave a review on my husbands page but they blocked him and he cant even comment anymore. They replied and then I blocked him.

Very surprised the prices for admission are so different from what it shows on the website: $15 adults $10 kids vs $5 adults $3 kids. On top of that, there’s not much you can do inside for that money because you are going to have to pay for everything your kids want to do apart, like pony rides or Corn maze (add another $15). For that money you can easily go to a real fall festival outside Orlando.

I used to bring my daughter here every year because it was free. She enjoyed looking at the horses and picking out pumpkins. Suddenly they want to charge $15 a person to see horses and pumpkins? Because they charge you more to ride the horses and more for pumpkins. What a waste. I had to take my daughter out crying because I refuse to pay $15 to look at horses and pumpkins ✌🏻 No wonder why theyre dead this year. There goes that family tradition I guess, its always about the money.

The website says 5 per adult... And when we get there they said 15 per adult! No pony rides... the lady was really rude talk to us like we dont know how to use a phone told us to refresh our page and we did and it still only shows from 2020. They didnt have the pony rides looks like nobody was doing the corn maze they said theyre too short staffed so what are we paying $15 for because you also pay a dollar per pound for the pumpkin last year I dont even remember paying anything. But on the website it says $5 I would never go here again the lady was absolutely rude

This is an extremely overpriced “farm” for what is available that is staffed by rude teenagers. Website shows $5 adults, $3 kids… when you arrive it’s priced at $15 adults, $10 kids. There is nothing for adults to do inside except walk around the grounds, look at horses, and visit an underwhelming corn maze. Several dilapidated play structures that seem structurally unsound are accessible to kids to get free splinters on, as well as an old swing and sand box. Will not be back.

Update 10/30/2020I visited with my family today after finding out that they replenish their pumpkins from the comment that POA left in respond to my review. The set up is much better than when we stopped by in the beginning of the month. My kids enjoyed seeing all the animals (rabbits, horses, ponies, goats, and the very chilled cat). There were much more pumpkins and photography setups around the pumpkin patch. We went first thing in the morning since our county doesn’t have school today so I figured there might be a lot more people decided to hangout. Although there were some people but POA has plenty of space for everyone to stay more than 6 feet apart to safely practice social distancing. We wore our masks and only took them off when taking photos, which I notice almost everyone did the same (the cold temperature today probably helped, it was 70 degrees when we visited).Since we visited on a weekday there’s no music/food/rides and the barn wasn’t open. However, we stayed for about an hour there and enjoyed every minute there. I am grateful that POA was able to open their pumpkin patch in this difficult time and provided us the opportunity to continue our family tradition in a safe way. I really appreciate them allowing us to keep the little piece of normalcy for our kids during the pandemic and hoping next year we will be able to visit again but without the need to wear masks :)========Updated 10/7/2020I went for a quick visit today with my little one and I was pretty disappointed. There’s barely any pumpkins and I was told they did not have the drive through pumpkin patch that they advertised on their website because of the lack of pumpkins (which is understandable but I wish they had taken the time to update their website with the correct information). Lastly there is a lot of guests without mask on, which makes me feel a bit nervous since we just started the flu season on top of Covid-19. I might stop by again later in the month to check if the situation improves before deciding whether it is appropriate to bring my family for a visit.=======We love Painted Oaks Academy’s pumpkin patch, I have brought my kids there every year and it sort of became our family tradition to visit and take our family photo there. They had lots of activities there last year, from food to music to all kinds of stuff for little ones (train ride, hay ride, pet animal, paint pumpkin, horse riding, etc etc). I hope they will be able to figure something out this year since we have been really looking forward to visit them this autumn.By the way, they have a lot of tress with nice shades which is always an important thing in Florida. It is also manageable to push the stroller around, which is not the easiest task on dirt road but definitely necessary when you are visiting with a baby. They also have nice and natural setup for photo opportunities.

First of all, you have to realize that Painted Oaks Academy is a family-run stable, primarily offering horseback riding lessons and camps. The negative reviews on this thread are from day visitors to the bonus community events such as the pumpkin patch & Christmas tree farm. I think they do a great job with those, but of course they’re not the only thing going on. My review is of riding lessons. My daughter has been taking English riding lessons (they do offer western as well) for a year and a half. It has been a wonderful experience! Learning to ride has given her something to be proud of, which is a big deal because school can be tough on the self esteem of an adolescent girl. They have multiple instructors and 6-8 horses that are used for the lessons, so the students get used to riding different horses. I’ve NEVER seen ANY of the horses act irritable towards a child, which IMO is impressive. The instructors are patient with the kids; even if my daughter is having an off day she has a good time. This is a family run farm, and Lisa the owner is a sweetheart who also hosts holiday parties and movie nights for the “lesson family.” My only complaint is that sometimes it’s hard to make it back to the car because my daughter wants to visit all the horses, goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens, barn cats, etc. before we leave! POA offers the whole package.

We got married here at Painted Oaks Academy a 20-acre horse ranch on the outskirts of Orlando. We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at this location and it was absolutely perfect for a rustic wedding. We decided not to have a wedding planner and met with the owners of the venue several times to discuss what we wanted, they were very friendly and helpful. It was super convenient for us and our guests to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. Our guests were able to park on site and via a short hayride they were able to move between the two locations. The ceremony space had ample room for all of our 80+ guests. We had our ceremony sandwich between a rust red style barn and lake. I was able to ride through the barn as my grand entrance on top of a horse. The reception was held at their Event Barn, a half outdoor/in-door Barn. It was decked out with lights, smoke and bubble machines. They also had a large dance floor, a small stage and hay loft. During cocktail hour the venue provided several of their horses for our guests to pet, take pictures with and feed. Since it was a little bit cooler of a night they had set up a Hay couch with a fire pit in the middle, our guests were able to enjoy smores later in the evening. They were always really quick to respond and entertained some of my ridiculous requests for the wedding.Big thanks to Painted Oaks and Rusty (my trusty steed).

Weve been coming here for the past three years with our kids. Best value for the money. The kids love it. Plenty of spots for great photos. The property is so picturesque with large oaks, open spaces and plenty of animals. The hay ride is a blast and the kids love the pony rides. If you like a crowd and a festival atmosphere, come on the weekends. If you like a more quiet, laid back day, go during the week when parking and admission are free. Dave and his wife and all their staff are wonderful people. Always enjoy talking to them. You cant go wrong here. Well continue to visit the farm each year.

This is a cute place to take photos but it could be better maintained. Upon arrival we noticed down fence boards, exposed nails, and the general lack of upkeep/maintenance was evident. Considering the traffic and price of admission, I’d assume that money could be better allocated to hire a maintenance worker. The pumpkin patch event is nice to look at but the smells of rotting pumpkin compost pile that is kept less than 10 feet away from the ‘pumpkin patch’ mixed with the urine and feces piled in the stalls of the smaller barn animals is totally overwhelming. I definitely wouldn’t have stayed longer than 5 minutes if it wasn’t for my son, that’s how horrendous the smell is. We took our pictures and left. This place has potential, but it is definitely not up to par with our standards. If you are sensitive to smells, you are pregnant, or you are easily sick to your stomach I would choose another Pumpkin Patch.

The bounce pad is fun for little kids and the train ride for them lets them get a little fun and easy exploration. The corn maze is a blast and is a classic adventure for any fall themed event. There is a hay ride that is another great time for the whole family. The vendors provide great food, fun crafts such as canvas painting. Pony rides complete the experience and give you the final taste of a clean country fall event. We come every year and will keep coming.

Completely disappointed about our experience at the Pumpkin Patch. I have been taking my daughter there every year for the last 5 years and have always felt welcomed. The staff have always been friendlyand pleasant. This is our family tradition each year. My sisters and I and our 7 kids arrived at 5:30pm which is the ticket time that we prepaid for. We were told that the Pumpkin Patch closes at 6pm. Basically we paid for 30 minutes worth of activities they couldn’t fulfill. Needless to say, after we prepaid for the corn maze, we were never able to do it because they locked it before we got there. So sad to even say this because I always want to excuse this type of behavior as being racially motivated but we were treated unfairly based on our race. The obvious simply can’t be excused. The Caucasian family before us was treated with kindness and professionalism and were not warned that they closed at 6pm. Woke up the next morning with an uneasy feeling and decided to reach out to the pumpkin patch via their Facebook page as I didn’t see an email on their website. The owner, Dave, responded“HeyWowThis is alot to readGot to the jest of what you were trying to say in 400 words or lessUntil you pulled the race cardThen I lost interestAre you kidding?DaveOwner” then sent a second message“PsWe already have changed the website not to sell 5:30 ticket slots any longerAfter a previous complaintTickets are not refundableBut are Valid any day from 10-6pm until END of NovemberCant fix a bad attitudeSorry”In complete disappointment with this place overall. We have been coming here the last few years with our girls. Loved that it was free and we were more willing to spend money on things we could do or take home. This year they charged $5 for parking and another $5 per adult. We were there 40 minutes today. Nothing has changed except for trying to nickel and dime visitors for everything. Im surprised we were charged just to view the horses. This will be the last year we attend. I wouldnt mind paying for parking or entrance but I dont feel that both and everything inside as well is reasonable. I hope they learn from this. The last few years it was packed and today it was empty.Obviously by the owners response below you can tell this is not a customer service oriented establishment. A friend and I had brought our small children to the corn maze for something fun, as it is close to our house and it has been heavily advertised as a corn maze. Im aware its a franchised corn maze (with Maze Quest), but I was left pretty disappointed. The ticket prices were more expensive than a lot of the others in Central Florida - only comparable to the other Maze Quest franchisee, but that franchisee has a LOT more to offer for $12.00 a ticket. All they had was the pumpkin patch, some swings, and the corn maze. I understand that weather can be an issue sometimes, but it was an even smaller corn maze, and has less activity than other corn mazes in the area as well. The owners, while seemingly friendly, dont seem so friendly online and this is really disheartening. Please dont get me wrong, its beautiful for a wedding, or other events, but as far as corn maze activities go, its incredibly sub-par.

Never have we been treated badly and as far as parking costing $5 well when?? Because I havent paid for parking ever!!!! I doubt they randomly select people to charge. For example, last year we purchased two pumpkins for about $10 relatively good size, rode a pony for like $5, had some good bbq, petted some animals, and rode the hey ride for $5 a piece. We always go here for our pumpkins every year. This year we decided to check out their corn maze. Unfortunately it was so over priced and to call it a corn maze was a stretch. It was a maze that happened to have corn stalks around it. But the stalks of corn were so short, or non-existent at times, that you could easily look around and follow the maze with your eyes. Maybe it wouldnt feel like such a rip off if we had only paid $5 per person, but it was a whopping $34 for our family of three to complete the maze. Until they can fully grow corn over 4ft tall, just skip the maze and pick out a pumpkin instead.

A note to anyone visiting for the first time: The entrance for the location isnt very noticeable and signage for the property were multiple picket signs( I initially thought they were political signs so I drove passed). Opening hours listed on Google are not reflective of their actual hours. I visited this location on Thursday sometime after noon only to notice that the gates were closed. I was confused so I called the number listed on their location and was told that their times had changed on their website. The website isnt straight forward so I had to click through a few tabs to find the times listed.Prior to actually writing a review, I left a one star rating to which the owner responded Huh?.So, I read other reviews to see how they addressed other customer reviews and complaints. I noticed that their responses are contradictory and not very professional. In one response, they said they dont charge a cover and parking fee and in others they list the the prices. Please hire someone who is capable of managing your displeased customers. Sometimes an apology is better than retaliation/sarcasm and being receptive to negative criticism can help your business grow.

I’ll start off by saying that I did have a really pleasant experience here LAST YEAR. With that being said, I was excited to do it again this year but with a bigger group.I will never go back again. Admission for adults to walk around and do absolutely nothing, on top of overpriced pumpkins and additional money for every other activity. We spent the money to get in only to find out that the bungee jumping wasn’t included in the price of our activity tickets that we had already purchased, bounce houses were dirty, and there were no pony rides after we waited for over an hour for them to bring them back out. (Yes, I know they need a break). However, this gave us nothing to do with tickets that we had already purchased besides TEN DOLLAR FACE PAINT. Not to mention the big signs that says no refunds. The owner was also sitting at the entrance screaming this isn’t free and screamed “I can’t do this” and walked away and left a guy at the entrance who also mentioned it was his first day.I know the owner of this place will respond with a nasty comment and tell me to compare to Disney prices. I don’t go there either because of they are overpriced as well.

We also enjoyed the hayride and liked that the driver pointed out wild turkeys that were in a field as well as Sand Hill Cranes and a turtle. The best part was when the hayride stopped next to a fence where a horse came to the trailer and started eating the hay! The driver let all the kids feed the horse and take pictures. I paid to have my daughters face painted and we had ice cream to cool us off! A great day! I will return and I hope they have a similar event in Christmas and sell Chrismas Trees! The pumpkin patch was great, and the older gentlman who was at the checkout was wonderful as well but there was a younger gentleman beside him who was trying so hard to haggle me for more money when the older gentleman already acknowledged what the prices were for the pumpkins (29 pound pumpkin that the older gentleman was selling to me for $15, the younger gentleman kept telling the older gentleman to charge more). Over all it was a great time!

So I have not been here but I was reading reviews and the owners responses and I just have not laughed so hard at something like this in a while. I was a dressage/jumping trainer for 15 yrs and when I worked in Germany my boss had the same sarcastic hilarious since of humor. I am very excited to bring my kids for Santa and pony rides if my daughter is old enough. I also can not wait to meet the one horned female goat unicorn. Unfortunately I wont have to drive an hour to spend 5$ for parking as we only live down the road. Thank you for making Google reviews great again. Looking forward to our visit!

Went to Pumpkins and Ponies. They advertised Hayride for 5 tickets. Purchased tickets for hayride for three children. Got to the hayride, was told its $5 cash only. Went back to ask for exchange. Was informed no refunds as the tickets could be used for other things. This is called bait and switch and it is illegal under FL Law. Further, the same gentleman who refused to refund began screaming at children (at the time a bunch of 2-5 year olds) for mixing together their paint (each were given a paper plate with dabs of 3 paint colors and a mini pumpkin to paint) when painting pumpkins. After ranting at parents for not taking control of the project and just allowing children to mix their paint (they are kids!), he went off on teenage volunteers for not forcing children to paint properly. I was absolutely disgusted. Terrible treatment of children, volunteers, and customers. My cousin performs in horse-riding and many shows at a much more ethical place. My daughter asked to do the same and aspires to be a large animal vet. Will be taking my money and business elsewhere. Her best friends mom was also prepared to sign up her daughter for lessons, but we dont want our children to be subject to a ranting law-breaking greed-driven customer-ripping children-bashing employee. I feel sorry for their volunteers and students.

I came in during the Christmas party after stopping in earlier that Sunday. When I came in that morning I saw a girl riding a gray horse and was struggling. The horse was very quick and the rider seemed very tense yet the trainer said she looked great and asked the girl to jump. I would not have had that girl on that horse in the first place, let alone jump. There was no discipline at all and the horse looked completely out of her league. A paddock with another gray horse was completely yellow, no grass to be found and no shade. I stumbled across a miniature horse who was tied to a fence in the sun and was sweating and puffing. He was clearly overheating yet no one paid attention to him. I came back later only to find that the gray horse in the dead paddock had a massive cut on her stomach that was oozing, yet was kept outside. Another dark bay horse was super skinny and had a deep gash on his hip. I heard a young girl asking if she should do anything because he was rubbing it on the wall and barn owner, at least that is who I think it was, told her she couldnt deal with it right now and left. The girl then pulled him out and put medicine on it like I wouldve done. Kids were feeding random horses things they found on the ground and dirty carrots and two girls tried to maintain it but then someone told them not to worry about it. If it were my horse there, I would want a proper trainer and someone who cares about the horses. It was a pretty barn and nice arena but the trainer seemed clueless during the lesson and the, what I assumed, barn owner shrugged off problems that shouldve been dealt with. I was thinking of switching here to board my horse but that thought has completely left my mind.-Kathryn Beezy

I give the corn maze two stars. I realize that this is their first year doing the corn maze, but the pictures in their website in no way look like the actual maze, as they are just stock photos. We went mid- October and I had checked out all the corn mazes in the area and decided to go to this one because it is so close to our house. However, it wasn’t worth the $42 I paid for my three older kids and myself. Once you walk into the maze, it is sparsely planted and low. We could see straight through it to the other side of the maze. It didn’t match the website, which says they used a special seed that grows corn “tall and green.” The maze is taped off but any adult or teenager can see which direction to walk as the corn in most places is not more than 5 feet, if that. Perhaps it will get better in November, but most people want to go in October and I think it should be at its best right now. The website also says it is an educational experience. That would be true if you find answering questions about Chik-Fil-A products educational, but I do not. Additionally, the maze does not appear to be cut at all, but the design roped off and corn planted around the design, which isn’t a deal breaker, but it just didn’t have a real corn maze feel. There were other things going on at the property for their Fall festival and people did seem to be having a good time with that. I think the maze would be fine if you have pretty young kids and just skip the indoctrination into Chik-Fil-A “education”. As for me and my 11, 14 and 18 year olds-We did not find the maze interesting. Perhaps next year will be better, but I hope they skip the sponsored maze.

(Note: Review of Pumpkin Patch Only)Very disappointed we made the drive to this Pumpkin Patch. Facebook page and website advertises hay rides and pony rides. Upon arrival we were told they werent doing this today. No games or food, as advertised. They did have pumpkins and a couple farm animals in cages (could not pet). Only bathroom was a single port-a-potty. Would not recommend.ETA in response to owners comment: I arrived prior to 11:50am, not in the feeding window you suggest. If pony, hay rides, food, and games were unavailable, it would have been helpful to update social media. Painted Oaks Academy FB post 10/3/18 does not accurately reflect your event.

I’m honestly distraught I’m even feeling the need to write a review, something a business has never made me do before. Three different employees gave permission for me to bring my EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL through. We paid $5 for parking and all three of us paid $5 each for admission. So $20 to be kicked out within 10 minutes. It is extremely disrespectful and actually against the law to ask for proof of the animal being a support animal. I wasn’t even asked nicely. The entire experience was unpleasant and it’s embarrassing to your business.

We use to come here when it was a decent price. It is not worth the money you pay. It is very over priced. They will charge for parking, for the entrance and $5 for each activity per kid. We can got to the zoo or green meadow farms which is well worth it. Sorry very disappointed. We parked for 5 min and went back out, without getting our $5 dollars back that we paid for parking. It becomes overpriced when you have more adults than kids which it was our case. We ended up going to Lukas Nursery where you had to pay for every ride but there was no charge to get in which is more affordable.

I haven’t been to your farm yet, but now I cannot wait to visit and meet you and your wife! Your gentle, funny replies and lighthearted sarcasm to the whiny trolls has amused me no end this hot afternoon. Seriously, people do not appreciate what hard work it is to keep up a farm and host so many visitors every day. Farms take a “lotta cheddar” to keep up hence the small fees and are not some sanitized fairyland full of smiling zombots, so rules help keep everyone safe. Keep up the good work and reality check for the weirdos! See you this fall ....

It was a rushed and poor experience. The staff was rude and talked mean and short even with the kids. It was my kids first field trip with his class, and i understand the complications they were having.. Such as over booking and etc. But it shouldnt have been taken out on us or the kids as it wasnt our fault. The school will not be going back there.

It was a disappointment. Over priced. Pumpkins were $1 per pound. Very unorganized. It took us 30 minutes to find out the price. Negative signs with rules. The music was the only free thing and between songs he reiterated the rules. Dont play on pumpkins. Im from VA, lots of pumpkin patches and never saw all these rules ever! The land was pretty. So we paid $20 to stand under a tree and look at overpriced pumpkins.

DO NOT COME HERE ! Very over priced with almost nothing to do 10$ for a small balloon dirty play ground over priced pumpkins and rude employees . Not worth the time or drive . I’ve been to a lot of pumpkin patchs this was by far the worse ever . Guy on loud speaker telling a lady don’t sit on the pumpkin the sign says no sitting how rude . Bouncy house dirty and half deflated horrible place horrible experience. Funny how the owner replies and it wasn’t even me who sat on the pumpkin I actually over heard his over weight self scream at the poor lady . How professinal are you instead of being rude and replying back to people take there reviews and fix the issue to make your “ business “ better instead of sitting around and eating pumpkin seeds and replying rude to people hope u get shut down cause your place SUCKED I rather buy pumpkins and make a patch in my back yard then go to your dirty experiment gone wrong I mean I’m just saying 🤷‍♀️
