Our family at My Great Beginnings has been such a huge blessing to us! With two working parents in our household, our little boy has been in the care of this sweet, sweet staff since he was 5 months old. He is now getting close to two years old and has learned and grown so much! He has been through four classes, and we have had nothing but positive experiences with each and every one of his teachers and the directors/staff. Our boy gets so excited to go to school that he beats us to the door with his backpack every morning. He participates daily in activities that encourage his development, and he brings home a detailed note every day about how things went, as well as the pages he colored, projects he completed, and ideas for practice at home. He loves everyone there, and so do we! You feel like family here, and we love it! I can’t say enough good things! I mean, just look at how happy he is!!!

We were scrambling to find a daycare for our son(our first baby) so I could return to work on time. The ones we had met and toured never felt right. I was about to settle when I decided to try once more and gave great beginnings a call. It was off to a great start with their kindness on the phone and offered for me to tour at anytime(no need to schedule an appointment.) since “he’s six weeks? Appointment? Come when you can mom. Don’t stress trying to make it here at a specific time. Just whenever you can.” Everywhere else honestly wouldn’t give us a tour unless we scheduled one.I came for the tour and was met with professionalism and warmth. Everything I saw, I knew it was right. Since I’ve been back to work, they have been loving and kind to my family and our sons care. Even helping with first time parent separation. They communicate so well! You really can’t find better care. Five stars from us! Thank you for all you do!

Our two daughters, ages 1 and 3, started at My Great Beginnings a few months ago and we’ve had nothing but great experiences. They both adapted to their classes and teachers very well. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. Safety and learning are the two most valuable assets of this establishment. Although I do feel secure leaving my kids there, it’s so comforting to know I can log onto WatchMeGrow and check on them throughout the day. Additionally, compared to many other childcare facilities in the area, their prices rock! We couldn’t ask for a better childcare center.

I have been the Director at My Great Beginnings Learning Center for the past 11 years, since we opened in 2005. I enjoy reading the reviews from our families on all of the different websites. While we always strive to provide a safe, loving, and learning environment, we recognize that sometimes the fit is not perfect. We always encourage our parents to openly communicate with us their needs and we take each and every one very seriously.Recently, a review was posted stating erroneous information regarding our owner and it was down right slander. Our owner is an upstanding citizen. She expects the best from me as a Director, and her staff. It is rare to find an owner as involved as ours. She has built our school on the ideas of co-parenting and open-communication with all families and staff. Everyone she comes in contact with has benefited by her knowledge, tenacity and morals. She is one of the most honorable people I know.

Negative Highlights:-The weeble wobbler class. Inconsistent caregivers. Careless caregivers. They took my 6-month-old out to play on the playground with all the bigger kids and he swallowed a leaf. We found it in his poop 2 days later. Then they blamed my baby for being overactive. The whole situation was handled poorly. When we reviewed the tape you could see how often my child was left unattended on the playground at 6 months!-They didn’t take precautions when the maintenance guy was working in the hall. They told me it was safe to pass and the guy dropped a box on my head and hit my car seat with my baby in it.-My 2yo’s class had zero structure. They had so much free play where the teacher at the time would literally dump toys on the ground and just let the kids go at it. I saw this a few times on the camera and complained but my complaints were rarely taken seriously. They’d start to put the kids in a routine for a week or so after I’d complain and then they’d be back to no structure.Positive: the newborn class! We loved Ms. Boona, Ms. Yanti, and Ms. Tanaye. They were the best with our 2-month old. They’re the reason we didn’t leave before 6 months. When we moved to the next class up, communication was poor and the overall care was terrible. If you’re looking for an academic based daycare That values education you’re better off somewhere else. This isn’t the place. At least not for a toddler. Safety wasn’t a big priority either

A year ago- i looked at my youngest child...and it broke my heart to know that one day soon I will bring him to day care and he will be there all day long with “complete strangers”. However, they are the same strangers that I have come to know, love & respect because they took my oldest child in and loved him like he was their own baby. It gives me such peace of mind knowing boys will be there together and my baby will get the same love & care that my oldest received. Many people are bold enough to tell you how “awful” it is to send your child to day care, for these complete strangers to “raise” your child. I am here to tell you that “it takes a village” and this is the village that God directed us to. Our school has given the best of themselves to my children and it was a great decision as he is such a smart and witty little boy who loves his teachers and his friends and all of the activities he gets to do (especially Tumblebus Tuesdays)! I have no doubt about my children being there! It’s not sad— it’s a blessing to have so many people involved in your children’s lives and love them as if they belong to them.

My child spent his first two years being watched during the day by his grandparents. I wanted him to interact with children his age, and to give my parents more flexibility during the day, so I decided to enroll him part time in daycare. My first priority was finding a nurturing, supportive environment where I would feel comfortable leaving him. After a month of part-time enrollment, I was so satisfied that I decided to send him full time. I feel blessed to have found such a nurturing environment for my son.

They are great. When I first began taking my son here, the transition for me was kind of scary. I just wanted my son in a comfortable environment which I found out the first day of his stay, it is. Im a grateful parent. I never hear or feel any refusal of a suggestion. The staff are always ready to accommodate me or my husbands requests. They have been our little ones favorite place of enjoyment.

I really can’t give enough praises to MGBLC!My son has been there about a year and things have been great in both of the age group rooms we’ve had. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and honest. He has learned more here than I could’ve taught him on my own. The front desk is always welcoming and professional. They have a great camera system which was a requirement for me when deciding on a child care facility. We are treated like family here and I couldn’t ask for more!

I decided to send my 18 month child to this facility after reading good reviews here on google. After 9 month with My Great Beginnings, I can assure you it was a good choice. Even before my child start going, I met some moms at library elaborating how good this place was. They provide lunch and snacks, open enrollment, live camera for us watch our kids, and very friendly and loving teachers/staffs. It seems that all the teachers (even the ones that does not teach my child) knows my child’s name. The teachers follow mom’s directions well when I want provided snacks to be replaced to home snacks. They even provide DK’s Tumble Bus to come once a week at no extra charge.... which my child LOVES.At my child’s age, I considered more in how loving the teachers were instead of curriculum. In despite of that, my child has learned so much including words, colors, numbers (in Spanish and English), and social behaviors. In a very reasonable tuition, it was a A+ package for me and my child. My only downside was that they watch educational television for about 45minutes when they go to 2yr old class. I like to limit television watching time...and this is not what I would want for a toddler. Some of the extra perks were:You can even save your child’s spot for $50, if you decided to not send your child more than 3 weeks... We had to go out of country for a month, and this was a good option for us instead of spending a month of tuition. My Great Beginnings even offer a picture day where they bring outside photographer. My child had two picture days during 9 months of attending: Christmas and Spring. This was a great option so I don’t have to spend extra time to go to a photographer . They even do a sibling photo where I can bring a sibling to take photo with the attendee.Unfortunately, we are moving out of town, and My Great Beginnings will be missed greatly.update:When I gave 4stars, review wasn’t shown to public. So I am giving 5 stars hoping it will show.

My kids have gone to My Great Beginnings for 4 years. They are like family. I trust them w my kids- that says a lot today. I loved their toddlers group, the threes has Ms. Mary who is a treasure. PreK was wonderful in prepping my kids for Kinder- Ms. Pat, Ms. T, Ms. Queeta and Ms. Victoria are wonderful. The after school program I used to pick up my kids on days we need time to get home from work. We have been through all life stages and will soon have a baby there too! All the teachers seem to enjoy their jobs and I didn’t see a lot of turnover. In the office Ms. Marcia always greets us with joy and Ms. Randall takes care of EVERYTHING! They are a great team and we appreciate them all!!

We found My Great Beginnings after a harrowing experience with another local daycare, and we could not be more pleased. As a first time mom and full time worrier, MGB has gone above and beyond all my expectations. Before starting MGB, my (then 2.5 year old) son was extremely distressed every morning at drop off and came home exhausted and moody. After 1 week at MGB, my son was HAPPY at dropoff and reluctant to leave in the afternoons! The teachers have EXCELLENT classroom management. The teachers at MGB are truly TEACHERS, not mere babysitters. You can expect your child to get quality education not only in age-appropriate academics, but also soft skills (working cooperatively, responsibility, kindness, etc.) and body management (potty training, putting jackets on, washing hands, etc.). Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, the teachers LOVE the kids! You can trust that your child will be taken care of both physically and emotionally. Not only are the teachers phenomenal, but so is every single other person in the building. On our first day, I was so worried how my son would do in the new environment. The director called me midday, totally unexpectedly, just to let me know my son was having a great day and had only cried once! I couldn’t believe she took time out of her busy day to voluntarily call me. Ms. Randall, the assistant director, is SO AMAZING! The owner is onsite and very involved in the management of the center. We also LOVE Mr. Nick, their facility manager. He is so so sweet to the kids. I know I’m rambling at this point, but I need everyone reading this to know how much the whole staff loves the kids of My Great Beginnings. We’ve been at MGB for about 8 months now, and I can’t believe we ever patronized anywhere else. Check it out! You won’t regret it!
