I went to the Christa McAuliffe space center for a dome show. The facility is very high end and very aw inspiring! We werent able to go to the mission rooms because they were having active missions. I would love to see the inside of a mission room and maybe take my family to do a mission. I was a teacher at Central elementary School for several years and the original space center was fantastic but this one is leaps and bounds ahead of it.Im glad that they kept the name of the facility Christa McAuliffe. Every time I see the space center Im reminded of those who sacrifice themselves for the good of all mankind as they embarked into space on the shuttle. Christa McAuliffe was the first civilian to hit a ride on a spacecraft. Unfortunately she never made it to space. May she rest in peace along with the rest of the crew. Godspeed.

Such a beautiful facility. Education is the heart of this place, as it should be. Utah valley now has two fantastic planetariums, and this one is only the second in the world to have the latest in planetarium software. I havent yet participated in the simulators they have downstairs, but I just started visiting, and I plan to be a regular.

Such a nice little planetarium. We saw Birth of Planet Earth and it was wonderful! Our navigator was amazing and gave us such good information and answered several questions we had. I highly recommend this planetarium for their shows. Its so nice to have a planetarium in Utah County.

We were signed up for the Galileo with a crew of six, ages ranging from 50-12. Our instructor, Brylee, was an absolute delight (thank you!). The story was fun and well put together. The acting was great! They were incredibly patient with the insufferable, ADHD driven, and clueless crew that was made up by my family. Thank you for the fun!

I want to give the Space Center 5 stars . . . But they need to fix a few things. When people pay good money for a fun experience, don’t treat those customers like 1st graders on a free field trip. Tactlessly telling adults that everyone needs to spit out their gum and they must use the bathrooms and wash their hands over and over (looking at you, Ian) - it tends to take away from the experience. This is our third time doing a space mission. Treat your guests like, well, guests! We absolutely loved our first two times doing space missions; couldn’t stop talking about it. I’m not sure we’ll do it again. Not because we’re angry, but the “that was so fun!” Experience now is a different memory of “remember how we were treated like children?” Not cool.

This place is out of this world! Theyre so informative, nice, and fun! My wife and I went to the planetarium for my birthday, and it was a blast! We left feeling so energized to learn even more about space, we even booked a mission on one of their simulators! We will be coming back again and again! 10/10 would recommend!

I had visited as a kid and had a great experience, but recently returning at 22yrs old was a very disappointing experience. Our little sister who was 6 was not allowed to participate in the space camp experience, however we were told in a phone call that she could partially. The employee was not very accommodating but did offer for her to go see their science show. I did not like how the situation was handled but I still attended the activity, but that was a disappointment. The space camp experience was bogged down by videos that were too long and a system that was far too complex for any kids to understand. As a software developer, I could understand so many rules that were broken when it came to intuitive designs, however I do recognize that this program was not put together by experts. It just came out to be a confusing and rather disappointing experience, but I do hope they fix their unnecessarily complex system

A really fun experience. We took a group on the Magellan the largest ship in their fleet. We had a blast from our youngest kid that could go up to grandma. We did a 2.5 for mission and even though we had some really good participants, they are able to adapt and give us more to do to fill out whole time slot.If you have ever wanted to be on the bridge of a space ship like you see on TV, you have got to try this out!

Even though most of our group was stunned, it was an honor to serve the Starfleet Federation at the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center. I laughed, I cried, I was willing to die for my captain, and a fun time was had by all.The staff is friendly, the missions are fun, everyone is kept busy and entertained the whole time, and it is a great activity for children (9+, maybe?) and adults alike.

The Space Center really is like a second home to me. I may be biased cause I volunteer there, but it is seriously awesome! Sometimes I forget I’m still on earth, and I’m the one that’s seen the back stage. All my friends tell me how much they love coming for missions, and my family too. There really is no target audience when it comes to age

My brothers and sisters (all above the age of 18) decided to go here on the suggestion of my sister in law who had been there before. I am not going to lie I was skeptical of how fun this was going to be, pulling up to an elementary school didnt help my skepticism. I am a trekkie and was doubtful they could pull of a cool star trek experience. But to my utter satisfaction I was wrong. This was a blast! They have worked hard on the program to make it immersive and intense. It was difficult even for people of our age. We had a great time here and am looking forward to returning.

I have been to this space center 3 times and I absolutely love it! I have also been to the discovery space center 3 times and I also love that one. But this center is the original so it is probably my favorite of the two. The ships are well maintained and I’d say the group missions are good for ages 12+ and all are very exciting. I did a group mission with my family last week and we loved it so much that we’re going again this week!! So much work went into programming and designing this place. If you love science fiction or Star Trek I definitely recommend this incredible experience!

This is for children. The adults get to have the fun running the simulations.I went to every summer camp, had every birthday here. I was an admiral on the space station that they used clips from DS9 for. Captain of voyager, which they used clips from Voyager for. Did the odyssey and the Galileo. Tons of fun, my little brother got even more points than I did. A group of adults doing this.... Its for children, adults cant suspend disbelief for this to be enjoyable, but adults can have plenty of fun running the simulations for the kids. But as a kid this place was effing fun man. To all of you at the space center that made it possible, thank you. I went to Barratt elementary and am now 30 and still remember this place.

This place is AMAZING and is the original and first of its kind! Although Alpine School District closed the best ship that existed (the Voyager) the overall experience here is still the same with great quality. If you get a chance to meet Sparky you are one of the lucky ones and you wont forget it.

Overall a great experience! Especially considering we were a bunch of hung over adults and still managed to have a great time. For the 5hr trip you only get one break so plan accordingly. Staff and actors were great and the mission provided the perfect level of challenge. Just fyi the actors are young adults and the center is in a elementary school, I only add this because we were unaware beforehand and felt a tad awkward at times.

I have been to the space center many times. Mostly with my best friend doing missions. It is a blast every single time! You have a choice of ship and how long you want your mission (I believe it’s 2.5 hours or 5) we usually stick to 5 hours. The staff is incredible and always makes it more enjoyable. If you’re into sci-fi at ALL it would be well worth it. It can also allow for good team building exercises.

I have worked and volunteered here in the past and it couldnt have been a better environment and community of people for an adolescent / young adult. It was a place I always felt safe, wanted, and enriched. Above all it was fun! I wanted to be there above anywhere else - and probably still do!From a participant stand pont, I was able to experience that again yesterday. My boyfriend and I both brought in some very different people from our lives for a mission. By the time we left, they were all joking and talking like theyd known each other for months!Truly a magical place.

The have to repair the CO2 generators, charge the photons, dock with various stations, and even go on away missions (dont worry, none of the red shirts die). All in all it was an amazing experience loved by all the kids who came. The numerous space camp trips I partipicated in as a child are some of the most important and influential experiences with STEM I had growing up. Nothing stimulated my sense of wonder of science more than going on school summer camps and experiencing the wonderfully creative Star Trek adventures (albeit a little non-canonical but who counting). As a software engineer student, I have alot of respect for the amount of work that I imagine went into creating such a cohesive learning experience. This is probably the most important experiences you could offer your child if you want them to appreciate science, please consider signing them up for a summer camp!

Amazing place! Such an immersive experience. I have been here three times, once with my school, once for my birthday, and once for my cousins birthday. And each was an amazing experience! I will go into more detail below.-----no spoilers----- (just A breif explanation)1. The first one was with my school, so it was a special mission where the three ships worked together. We had to review in science and learn about the echo systems and what our mission was about.2&3. They were both about the same. 1.5 hour experience. Inside the cockpit and have to problem solve and figure out Problems.-----!!! Spoilers !!!-----( do not read if you have not been or are not going to help, will spoil experience!Over all: all the experiences are roughly based off of the the Star trek universe. With some of the same speciess and planets.#1 ship: Magellan, position: sensorsIn this experience, there is an explosion that blasts debris twords a planet, and we had to go and protect them. Or the debris would freeze the planet (by blocking sun light) and kill most life. We have to go and warn them, give them heat generators. We have to then figure out what happens. Turns out that one of our stations was exploded, by one of our scientists. Then while we are warning the planet, the debris come and we have to shoot them down. We almost die twice, once by sabatoge, then once by the debris. But we survive and completed all our objectives.#2 ship: Odyssey, position: CapitanIn this experience. We get there, and know nothing of what we are going into. We go into the ship after we are assigned our roles, and I am told that I have a head injury and probably will forget things. We have a doctor examining us and giving us medicine (Skittles). And then we find out there is a bomb on board. We find it and try to do away with it. But it explodes and we die. We are given time to re think what we did wrong, what we have, and how to get rid of the bomb. So we decided to use the transporter to move the bomb into space. We succeed and move on. The goal is to take back some Gemini missiles from pirates. So we have to track them, find a traitor (we thought the doctor was the traitor.) and take them back. So we find them, take the missiles back, then turn around, but we are right outside a big dust could, I thought we wouldve turned around away from it. But no, we ran right into it at warp 9. So ok#3 ship: galliao, position: weapons specialistI do remember this one. There is a meeting for multiple alliances. One that hates us and one is chill. But the one that hates us, hates the other even more, and they hate them back. So the one that is chill carpools with us, and our ambassador and theirs is captured. So they cut communications with us. And later we get a ransom message for them. So we are sent out to find them. Along the way, we destroy a enemy space ship. Then we go to a Outpost, that sent the space ship we destroyed, so we get more missiles, but we never talked about payment, so then he has us deliver a message for him, one that tells us where the ambassadors are. We run into the other group, they threaten us, and we tell them information, then we go attack the enemy and take our ambassadors back.
