New Horizon Academy has not only been my career for nearly seven years, but a second home and family for me and my children. The CEO and executive team lead with heart and integrity, and the New Horizon Academy my young children attend fills their days with joy, creativity and learning. We are truly lucky to have a gem like New Horizon Academy in our lives.

As a dad of four, quality and reliable childcare are essential to my wife and me. New Horizon Academy has been a great partner in instilling good habits and helping educate our children.With our youngest, now two, I was worried about missing out on important milestones. New Horizon put my concerns at bay with their outstanding communication, and they keep me updated with their communications app on my phone and iPad. Throughout the day, I get updates on how he’s doing and get to see pictures of him and the projects he’s doing.

I love working for New Horizon Academy! Everyone is supportive and professional. The environment at the corporate office is uniquely collaborative and such an amazing thing to experience every day. I would highly recommend New Horizon Academy!

I have loved working with New Horizon Academy for over 6 years now and loved having my two children grow up in our Minnetonka school as well. I have been a Teacher, Assistant Director, Director and am now working in HR and have loved every one of my positions. NHA is a company that puts children and their staff first and continues to learn and grow!

I contracted for New Horizon Academy for 3 months and had an amazing time. The staff were super kind and I definitely learned alot while on the job !

Im very sad to be leaving such a poor review. This review is in regards to New Horizons Summer program fee’s. Before COVID-19 happened New Horizon informed us that we could pay a fee before the summer to save money. We paid the fee with the intent of our kids joining that program. As a result of COVID-19 my job was lost and income was affected. Since there is no service being performed by New Horizon my wife and I thought they would reimburse that money to us. It turns out that’s not the case. We were told vendors needed to be paid before the program started. If we didn’t pay the fee before summer would there not be enough funds to secure vendors? There was an option not to pay early so we don’t understand why this is an issue. This shows how unethical and greedy this company is. The teachers are amazing but this is absolutely ridiculous. During this time its very important for people to see how companies treat their own staff as well as the community.

I was an employee at multiple locations for a few years. I loved working with the babies and children. And families!Very competitive co workers. Lack of team leaders. Lake of communication between co-workers and management.I felt judgement towards my disabilities. And was fired for my disabilities. I know I was a wonderful. Experienced Assistant Teacher. I was told and asked by multiple families to babysit and or Nanny for them.The babies and children loved me😍 as I them. I was fired because of my physical disabilities. Let go over the phone. Very hurtful!! The Two stars are for a few good people there.

My daughter has brought her son here since he was born. He is now 3 and loves his teachers and friends at New Horizon. Last Friday at 11:20 am she received an EMAIL from the center saying that my grandson could no longer come back to the center because he had opened the gate in the playground and got outside of it. Yes, he shouldnt have done this, but he is 3! But most importantly - we leave our children and grandchildren to be under the care and responsibility of the people hired to look after our children. She was told there is a no tolerance on this type of behavior. Please tell me when they take responsibility for not watching him that he had enough time to go to the gate, figure out how it opened and go on the other side before they noticed this. Now she is without daycare and guess what, the reason he was at the center is because she HAS to work each day. Now we are scrambling to find another daycare AND hope that he becomes as happy to go there as he always was at New Horizon. We are appalled at how they treated this and her son. He doesnt understand why he cant go back to see his friends etc. Whenever I would go pick him up, he would always go give them hugs or blow them kisses. Hes a real monster isnt he?? The responsibility and no tolerance should be on the center and the people they hire not on the 3 year old. Aggravated, sadden for my grandson and daughter and outraged at how they handled this situation.

New Horizon is not a good daycare center and would never recommend anyone to take their child here. As can be seen from my review of the 169 and 55 location our 3 month old child was not adequately supervised as they allowed mobile infants and toddlers to crawl on him and put a significant scratch on the back of his neck that never got reported to us and they had no idea it had even happened. Put him in wrong diapers which caused a diaper rash and they didnt even realize that we had diaper rash cream there because they asked us if we had any there. They gave my wife scalding hot milk to feed him because he was visibly hungry when she picked him up and the staff had to ask her if that means he was hungry when hes that upset. We pulled our child from New Horizons after a total of 6 days there. The staff there is inattentive and does not seem adequate to provide proper care for infants.

Way under staffed. Employees are rude and unprofessional. Employees dont work as a team and at times rough with children and let other children get out of hand. Usually only 1 teacher in the room when I get my kids from daycare. Ive noticed that the management is very poor. Rochester MN

Watch out for this corporation-they care more about money than children and the staff are lazy! THEY CANNOT HANDLE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN OR ANY CHILDREN WITH A BEHAVIOR DISORDER.
