I have been going to MSC as a client for years now. When I was in Graduate school, I would treat myself to a spa facial, eyebrow wax, etc. at the end of every semester. Now that I am a teacher, I do the same thing!Because MSC is a college, you might get assigned a very professional and friendly student. However, there is just as good of a chance that you will be assigned and unprofessional student.Regardless, they ensure a complete and successful service at a low price.Please make sure to block out enough time in your personal schedule. Please do not think that you can just hop in and hop out. The supervising teacher needs to check-in with you and your student at the beginning to approve of the services and at the end to approve of the end results.

Have been coming here for awhile, so they know that I drive city bus, its never been an issue that I cant say if Ive been in contact with some who tested positive for Covid until today, I have no fever and no symptoms but they refused me service. Bye Bye, wont be back and will tell all about this

The staff and students are very kind and super helpful! They did an amazing transformation on my hair. It did take more time than a salon but it’s worth the price and very understandable considering they are learning. Thank you Kali and Justine! Definitely will be back and highly recommended!

I had Natalie for a facial and wax. She was very professional and it was very enjoyable. I would definitely go back and get one. It was by far the best facial I have received and she took the time at the end to tell me about my skin and which products to use.Super happy :)

I have been to many schools to have my hair coloring done. Today I went and had my hair done by Teresa G. I have a lot of hair and I know it takes time. This School is the best. Very Professional, Clean and Personable. They listen, if you tell them what you want. I did read other reviews before I went in. Not at all what I went through but I know my hair takes time and Teresa did a over the top job. Price Was Awesome Also! Ill Be Back!P.S. Teresa Hubby Loves It. Thank You! I went there for the first time to get my hair done, everyone was really nice and helpful. Good atmosphere. I cant thank teacher June & Taylor P. enough for being so positive, helpful, dedicated and overall just wonderful people. June is such a great instructor, kind and respectful. I love her positiveness. I love how she was so helpful to Taylor, who did my hair. She walked her through everything and making sure that everything is going right. I am very happy with how my hair turned out! I am very thankful for their time, dedication and being prioritized as a client. Was just in today and student claimed I had a scratch on my head. Denied service to me, a long time regular, after a lengthy discussion of my scalp scratch. They acted as if I wasnt in the chair. I wont be back! Went to see Mary Ann at great clips and she couldnt find said scratch.UPDATE: Got a call from MSC. Student and instructor will be talked to and I feel I got adequate resolution. Every other time I have been there the service has been good.

If it would allow me to give negative stars I would!!!I went and got my haircut today and we went over WITH a instructor, and we all agreed 1 inch!! May I state I have been growing my hair out and it was a beautiful length about the middle of my back. Anyways the student took off 6 or more inches!!!! My hair is now above my shoulders!!!! This student should never hold a pair of shears AGAIN if shes not going to follow directions given.

Brought my 2 boys to get haircuts last night. We left there after over an hour and had to go to great clips next door to get both hair cuts fixed. They looked sooo bad. Our “cheap” haircuts ended up costing double. One girl cut herself and didn’t wash the blood off until I asked her to. She was running her bloody fingers through my sons hair. It was bad.

Went in for a Mani-Pedi, the gal I had was very nice. The first instructor seemed rather arrogant, never did see him again. The second gal who came to check on us was nice but seemed to be just there more for fun. She didnt even look at what the finished product looked like. She needed to, there were no cuticles trimmed and the polish was all over. I was afraid to get my nails polished so I went with clear. The instructor said well you cant mess up clear coat can ya. Maybe that should be a red flag for an instructor to see that a customer is paying for a service and doesnt get a color. Please DONT ask how it went while the student is sitting right there, its a little hard to be honest. I really dont think, by what I experienced that these students are getting good instruction or feedback. On a positive note the student really spent a lot of time massaging my hands. My polish wasnt dry after three hours and smudged when I put my socks and shoes on, that was a little upsetting to say the least!.

Ive been into the school a few times now and have had an absolutely wonderful experience. The instructors and staff are so fun and helpful. The students seemed to really know what they are doing, it does take a bit longer since they are still learning - but overall, excellent place to receive services!!

Ive come in 4 or 5 times now. Always to do something extreme and different with my hair. Every time Ive left with a smile on my face. I seem to always end up with someone who speaks English as a second language so Im always a little concerned that what I want done will be lost in translation. But so far every time Ive gone in Ive come out with exactly what I wanted.

As a college student, I always opt for the schools due to price. New to the cities, I went in for a retouch on my highlights that had grown out an inch and a half. It took 7 hours!!! I brought in a picture of what my highlights looked like when they were new and they were still very visible on my head. I only wanted them brought up because I was in a wedding the following weekend. I am a brunette and I had ashy blonde highlights. The student bleached my hair. She was very nice but took hours to turn my hair into something horrible. I was mortified. The teacher, June and an advanced student, Kylie stayed after hours to fix my hair. There was another woman there who had an amazing eye for color. We didnt leave until 10:30pm. They also sent me home with a coupon for the trim that is included in colors but I didnt receive and a complimentary deep condition-bleaching did a number on my hair. I went home tonight with wet hair so Im not sure if Ill be okay with my hair yet but Kylie gave me her phone number and offered to come to fix my hair if it was still bad. I know its not exactly what I was hoping for (they didnt have time to do the full foil fix) but its probably a great fix from the bleach! All in all, if you go to this salon know that it will take hours and might not be what you hoped but the customer service is great. June and Kylie showed genuine concern and I cant thank them enough, 5 stars for them!

I went in here thinking of my childhood days when my Mom took me to the Barber CollegeBut it wasnt like that. It feels just like a regular hair cutting place.The haircut was also no less than I would get from anywhere else.The people did seem happy, both students and customers.I will go there again.Wednesday is Veterans day and is FREE for veterans.Also the International House of Pancakes is right next door..

Went to get my under arms waxed and it was a terrible experience. The girl was nice but not very confident at ripping out hair causing it to be a slow and painful experience. When the soft wax didn’t pull out my hair she switched to hard wax which took forever to dry and kept chipping as she was trying to rip it off. She told me after applying the wax that the hard wax they use has a problem with this. Halfway through (30 minutes into the appointment) I was in so much pain that I had to stop. They only took $5 off for removing half my hair and causing as much pain as they did.

I am very pleased with the custom facial that I received by Casey. From checkin at the receptionist desk to end of the facial, the process was very smooth and relaxing. My skin felt great afterwards, and I was able to take home a sample.

This is awful. I came here at night wanting to get my blonde dyed hair back to my natural brown. SHE WAS SO SLOW I understand irs a school but i left unsatified adn they dont care. Dont waste your time

Came in to get color done on my hair, was honest about the whole situation with my hair and the instructor & person who did my hair proceeded to make me feel like i was lying about the whole situation. If you know you cant dye the hair for whatever reason dont continue to do it. The instructor is very rude & disrespectful, no one told her about manners apparently. Then continued to talk about my situation, saying i wasnt honest about my hair even after the incident. That can very easily ruin a career and is very unprofessional. I will never be coming back to this location because of the instructor.

Came in for a haircut, very dissatisfied. The sanitation standards dont exist here. The students clippers and towels had other hair on it BEFORE I sat down in the chair. Halfway through the cut, the student dropped her comb and clippers on the floor and DID NOT SANITIZE it before using it again on my hair. Only thing that prevented 1-star was the detailed attentiveness of the instructor.However, this place was way too dirty for me. Never coming back here again.

Color took 6 hours and was as bad as if I did it myself from a store bought box. They should have either set the expectation that the desired goal may not work or been honest and apologize that they failed. Given that they did neither they should have not expected me to pay. I was furious and extremely disappointed having to endure the pain of a 6 hour session with poor results regardless of the discounted price. But what was worse was to be lied to and then when I confronted them they acted like I was crazy and continued to lie some more as if they thought I was stupid and nieve. Big waste of time and money. I been getting my hair colored for many decades by some pretty great people. Ive never been treated so badly by people who dont know what their doing.

I wanted them to do simple loose curles with hair extensions that I had brought with me to make it look thicker and longer for my Prom, but instead I got super tight curls that made my hair up to my chin WITH my hair extensions in. Did not do what I asked for.-Staff was nice though

Went for haircolor and hair trimming. She trimmed my hairs very short and messed up my styling. I will not recommend.

So today I went in to get a all over color , the instructor Aleta first said I couldnt do the color I wanted to achieve or style and basically insaulted me asking if I was gonna cry if I didnt get the style that I wanted . And left my stylist to just do it didnt check up on her to make sure everything was being done correctly or anything like that instead was across the room getting her hair washed nails done on the phone and eating food ! Also had my stylist re-bleach my hair over 3 different times besides a shampoo wash .... was gonna have her do a bleach wash again and thank God that at this time a new instructor named Kim came over to see what was going on and didnt have me do it because my hair wouldve of fell off and i wouldve left with no hair color or anything. Kim saved my hair with over deep conditioning and oil instead of a bleach wash . Supposed to come back tomorrow just for my color !!! Thanks Kim & Courtney for asking questions and saving my hair ect !

Ive just called today March 14th 2019 at 4pm regarding taking classes at the school and someone would pick up the phone and hung up twice. If you dont want my money, then list it on your site that it is WALK IN ONLY, NO PHONE CALL. THANKS

Wednesday june8 2016 went got Mohawk an color teal green an purple.shaved the sides to a zero.young lady done it done exactly what I wanted .Ian very very happy with my Mohawk.

I called to make an appt today...the receptionist told me that they are no longer able to accommodate color services at night anymore...this does not work for everybodys schedule as i work during the day so the only time i have is at night to get my hair done...the is a poor service desicion the upper management made...

Went in to get a balalage done on Saturday.. I was feeling it.. until I realized that it wasnt a balalage. The color wasnt blanding in with my root, you can say it look like Im just grow my root out.. I would have gotten them a 1 star but instead, Im giving a 5!!😱😱 Because I called back on Monday (Sunday the was closed) and talk to the manager, he was so nice and polite... he book me on Tuesday. But Tuesday wasnt a good day cause they didnt open late:( was rebook again for today, Thursday the 16th of march😱😱!! The students (Charlotte & Mai Vue) did a great job of fixing my hair!! Omg LOVE it a lot! PLUS IT WAS FREE OF CHARGE!! Wow! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I highly recommend this place!!!

They are students who are learning. Describe or have a picture of exactly what you want done if possible - saves the worry about miss-communicating what you really want. If they are to harsh or doing something that bugs you - say something (better for them to get feed back now than start a business and have bad reviews later).My hair cut, low light, and root retouched highlight went well and surprisingly turned out the colors I wanted (most salons I tell I want caramel highlights come out bleach blonde or lighter which look terrible when they grow out on my naturally dark brown hair.Only negatives are the time it took for everything (almost six hours). I do have really long and thick hair but I will probably pay the extra $5 for an advanced student next time in hopes I do not have to sit in their chairs for as long. The instructors should revisit how to blow dry hair straight and not up, to the side, or in my face.Both the student and consultant were very positive and professional and I am pleased with how my hair turned out. Looking forward to the other services I have scheduled this week.

Everyone here is always so friendly. Services take a little bit longer than usual but theres no beating the price.

Went there to get my eyebrows done. Such a*****es. Made my eyebrows so broad its unbelievable. There so called instructor looked at it and that loser also said it looks okay. Incompetent, STAY AWAY!!!!!
