One of my favorite places on earth. The lessons and experiences I have had there profoundly impacted my life. It did so by learning discipline, self improvement, and simultaneously be part of a community developing life long friendships and bonds. As a young adult, my time at the dojo really helped center me and find a greater sense of meaning in both myself and in those around me.The approach is open, welcoming, and friendly to beginners. But also, as time progresses, the techniques and lessons learned, along with instructors encouragement, allow you to challenge yourself and push your limits.Once you achieve something hard, you know you are capable of doing more hard things in life, and this realization can be extremely empowering and life changing, extending far beyond the dojo. The same can be said once you become passionate about something.For me, both happened here at Dragon Horse Dojo.

Dragon Horse Karate DoJo is the best kept secret in the martial arts world. Hansi Dave McConnell, and Sensi David are amazing instructors! I have 3 teenage girls in their Tuesday/Thursday night class and I have been nothing but pleased! These girls will go off to college with 100% self confidence and the reassurance that they will be able to handle themselves if the situation warrants. Unlike other area schools, Dragon Horse DoJo, does not mass produce black belts who lack discipline, form and technique for the sake of maintaining parents approval. Their students work very hard for each and every belt. I totally recommend for teenagers.
