We have been part of this community for almost 9 years. Having had three children (currently one graduate and two in Children’s Houses) involved in the school, it is amazing to see how the guides/teachers have cared for each of our kids as their own. Our children act with grace and courtesy and are truly Montessori children. It’s been a pleasure to watch them grow into kind and respectful souls. The school and staff have prepared our children for lifelong learning. If you are looking for a true AMI Montessori experience for children that are infants (the infant program is the best I’ve seen) through kindergarten this is an outstanding community to be a part of.

We have been at Children’s Workshop for 4+ years with two children, and continue to be so happy with the school and staff! I feel so fortunate to leave my kids in the care of such loving and wonderful guides and assistants who have helped my children to grow and thrive. The head of school and administrative staff are also wonderful people, so kind and communicate very well. The school itself is clean, organized, has nice materials and great outdoor play spaces. I would recommend CW to anyone looking for a Montessori environment for their child.

Excellent school. Excellent staff. Open communication. I would highly recommend to other families. Also - our youngest child has unfortunately, many anaphylactic food allergies and CW has went FAR BEYOND our hopes with regards to keeping him safe and feeling included while in their care... we communicate about the snacks they offer, clothing detergent, hand soaps, project materials, etc. CW has been a blessing to him and our family.

We love, love, love this school. Our twin daughters began in the Toddler Community and are now in Childrens House. Their growth amazes us daily! They are kind, independent, and well spoken, and we credit Childrens Workshop for much of their excellent behavior. This is a school, not a daycare, and it is not a fake Montessori. The Staff and Head of School are so incredibly committed to the children, and they are some of the kindest and gentlest people we know. It is truly a gem of a preschool in the western metro area!

We had a great experience until the director changed. Once Katrina left, under the new director lead teachers in three (50%) of rooms left. For us down hill from there and we have moved on.

My two daughters thrive at this school. Highly recommend it. The guides are very good to our children and our children are clearly well taken care of!

Prior to moving to Orono our family toured many montessori schools in the western suburbs. Our first impressions of CW were favorable and the school endeared itself to us. Over two years later, we couldnt be more impressed with the CW community and the stellar care given to our children.

Can not in good conscious recommend this school. More detailed review to come, but in summary our infant was averaging 3 accident reports a week (For example he suffered a black eye and a mark on his forehead in one day. We were not alerted about this until the afternoon. On the same day they sent home his lunch untouched), school leadership was unprofessional and bullying toward our family, and upon further investigation found MANY families who had recently left or been asked to leave due to the mismanagement of this childcare facility.Many postive reviews have been removed due to similar complaints and at least two of the reviews still active are from board members of the school whos children no longer attend.

Love CW ..love the teachers and they are the only AMI certified school ..it shows ..our child loves it there..

The staff and the learning environment are incredible--nurturing and professional. Our son is two years old, and he has grown in wonderful ways while at CW. He has learned skills, while also gaining an appreciation for the community. We feel very fortunate to be enrolled here.CW is among a small number of certified Montessori schools in the area.

We love Childrens Workshop Montessori! Both of our children have grown and learned so much... our oldest was well prepared when she moved on to the Wayzata school system. And our youngest is still enjoying the loving environment where hes met wonderful friends.CW is a peanut and tree nut free school, which is very important to us since our son is allergic to peanuts. Theyve been SO accommodating and taken his allergies very seriously. Its comforting to know that he is in an environment that is safe.

Was a good school, AMI accredited. Ended up moving our kid to Primrose after staff turnover and other problems emerged
