Love the atmosfere. This place is well organized and the teachers check on the students regularly. Elayne did a great job from the beginning. I loved how she asked a lot of questions about my hair styling habits and my professional needs. She was a very good listener and she helped me find the right haircut.

Josh at PCI is amazing! I came in for a balayage with previously box dyed red hair &. dark brown. He was able to get my hair where I wanted it without damaging it! Ask for Josh Conzet - you wont regret it.

I’ve gone twice for a gel manicure first time and this time didn’t last two days before starting to peel and chip. But the kicker was I booked my mom her first manicure ever I asked how she liked the mask and hot towels she said they didn’t do that I asked about the lotion (she has dry hands) again she said she didn’t get that. I paid for it and all they did was paint her nails they didn’t file them and in less then two hours they were already chipping all she had done was drive and grocery shop! I don’t expect perfection from students but I expect the full service at least.

I got my haircut yesterday, I asked for a trim with some layers at the ends. It turned out terrible. The student was great, but the educator came by to “touch up the layers” and totally hacked my hair up to my face so I can’t even put my hair up anymore. And to make it worse, it’s only on one side of my middle part! I’m not comfortable sharing a photo of myself publicly online but it’s BAD! My husband couldn’t believe that I had to pay for it. I would not recommend.

PCI is a great school to go to and get your hair colored or your lash extensions put on! They also have great facials as well as Advanced Practice facials. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve loved the results of what I’ve had done! The students are always so nice and amazing! The teachers and staff there are very helpful and informative and they explain everything you need answers for! The school is so amazing and the pricing for everything is very affordable as well!

I just went in last night for the first time. I decided to change my hair color for the first time ever(18 years old) and I loved it so much. I also had a really nice student named Lexi who made the effort to get to know me and helped me understand my hair better and how to care for it for a first timer. Yes, it took a couple of hours but they need to learn how to do it just like we learn how to play sports and games. I will definitely come back in the future. Thank you so much!!

I have had 2 appointments now with Alexis G. She was great! I was having a baliage done. There was a point, when I was a little worried of how my color was going to turn out, and maybe she was too, but she did not show it. Alexis stayed calm, she consulted with her instructor when it was needed, and she adjusted correctly with the toner to get the correct color we were going for. My hair turned out great!! (It was the first time in a long time I was receiving compliments on my hair. I have felt more confident with my hair than I have in a long time.) I went back weeks later and had a few highlights put in and again, my hair turned out fantastic!! I am looking forward to my next hair appointment.I think Alexis is going to become a fantastic stylist! And, I will gladly donate myself to help her complete her goals towards graduation.Not only was Alexis great, but all the students and instructors were very helpful and professional. I felt very relaxed and knew I was being taken care of from the moment I walked in.Thank you PCI! I will be back.

I am a box dye girl. I admit it. When I had my first appointment with Twyla, I showed her this beautiful purple color for my hair (my black box dye hair) and I was told it would be a process. A journey. I said why not! The process was laid out for me and why it would take more than one visit. My first appointment included A LOT of highlights, a little red, a little purple.The next time I was able to see Twyla, we completed the purple and she cut my bangs. Through out this journey, Twyla did masks and conditioning treatments on my once lifeless, sad hair. After the years of box dye, color lifting and then some more dye; my hair is soft, healthy, shiny, and a magical shade of purple.

Do not recommend PCI for eyelash extensions. After 3 hours and $76 spent, my lashes immediately fell out when I brushed them using the wand they gave me. I felt bad for not being satisfied with the results because the student tried really hard. Student was professional and had excellent customer service. Even offered for me to return within 7 days to make corrections to the eyelash extension, however given poor quality of product of the lashes and glue, it’s a waste of time to return.

I have been going to this salon for 20 years, including when it was in New Hope. My experiences have mostly been amazing including my hair color.Several months ago I had a brand new student, who appeared very nervous and needed the educator to come over several times. When my hair was in foils, the student didnt check on me for quite some time. The educator noticed the student was missing and came back to remove the foils.When my hair began breaking over time, I made an appt with another student. The educator at that appt said she believed the breakage was from the previous foil appt and due to the developer being on too long.Mr. Valdez suggested treatments and a cut. I was told by a Manager over the phone that I would not be charged for the first treatment. Not only was I charged full price, but they tried to put me with the same student from the original appt. I asked for a different student and she did a great job.While I take responsibility for not calling about my breakage with the 7 day period, I think the way it was handled could have been better. If i am told by a Manager that the treatment was free, it should be honored. I know that students are learning, but I am the person who has to deal with the hair breakage for the next year.I would still recommend this salon, but I would be very diligent and make certain that your student is confident and prepared to handle the appt.

I had a full set of eyelashes, although the student seemed to be an amazing girl, the product and method overseen by instructors was incredibly flawed. After 2 1/2 hours on my back I could barely tell anything had been added and thought it was just because I didn’t see well without my glasses but no one, including myself could see any difference. By the end of the day what eyelashes were added ended up on my cheek. Waste of money and time.

Josh was great! He did a wonderful job. Instructors were good. They just need more staff to help the students. But in all great experience! I will be back.

If you have PCOS or any health issues with your scalp looking to come here to save money on your salon services DO NOT come here. They do not allow you to bring your own hair care products prescribed or not. I find it odd though since this is a school where you’d think they would want their students to be exposed to different types of hair and scalp issues they will likely come across in their professional careers. Some of us are college students ourselves and don’t have the financial support to visit a licensed professional weekly just to get their hair washed with a medicated shampoo. I applaud the beauty schools who understand how their schools can help their students learn more and help the community have access to affordable salon services.To your reply: no that was not helpful. People use different products that your school does not carry in the real world. Your students should be learning that people may need to use other products that have been prescribed or recommended by a dermatologist. Recommending a scalp clean is not a valid acknowledgement of your failure.

Horrible experience!!! Decided to go cause I found a coupon making my hair only 29 dollars ended up paying over 100 bucks even after showing the coupon multiple times. The student messed my hair up (it happens) but I called I complained (i talked to a man) they offered to fix it free of charge and offered a free hair repair treatment and other shampoo and conditioner samples and a refund if the money I was charged (supposed to be around 70 bucks returned.. Still nothing ) so when I went in the teachers said they didn’t see anything wrong with my hair and argued i don’t know what im talking about (supposed to be a balayage on virgin hair) has the student damage my hair even more she didn’t wash the product out all the way. So I made a post on fb asking my friends if my hair is or isn’t messed up (not one mean person said it looked fine) somehow she seen it even tho i obviously dont have her on fb never mentioned her name nor the schools name but she still felt it was necessary to call my cell phone 6 times ( NOT OFF THE SCHOOL PHONE BUT MULTIPLE PHONES) and message me on fb when i didnt reply sent me a friend request and when i didnt answer that THEN SHE GAVE OUT MY INFORMATION AND HAD HER FRIENDS I DONT KNOW CONTACT ME!! This is COMPLETELY unacceptable and will not be the last post or email i make to this company.

As a former student in the cosmetology program- I had an amazing experience and highly recommend going here to get your education and/ or get services done!

I made an appointment for a pedicure to be followed by a manicure. I was assured these appointments could be 1 hour apart and both services completed even though this was close to closing. The first appointment (pedicure) started late and at one hour the polish had yet to be applied. I asked about my mani and the student had not been informed I had the manicure scheduled with someone else. She checked and I was told “Sorry we won’t have time for your manicure. It’s too close to closing now.” Two of my toenails were filed so deeply into the corners they will probably become ingrown and are still painful. No attention to removing dry skin on my feet. Appointment took 2 hours. So-called instructors were there mainly to up-sell their services not guide the student. What are they teaching over there???Would never recommend.

Generally, equal or better than any expensive salon. The educators make sure the students are doing a good job. I always go there for hair and I love it. For the nail spa, you do need to make sure you have between 90 mins to 3 hours to get a mani/pedi combo. Not my fav for that, but if time is not a concern, it saves a lot of money.

I am disabled and got a ride to get my daughters hair done, we were kicked out into the cold because I wasnt allowed to sit with my daughter. When I made the appointment I wasnt informed of this, when we checked in at the desk I wasnt informed of this, one of the kind Male instructors who helped us get ready for the appointment by letting the stylist know we were there didnt mention it, after we began the appointment a different instructor told me I had to leave and knowing I had no car to sit in and am disabled stil told me I had to get out. I cancelled the appointment and we had to sit outside in the cold to wait for a ride. We will never be back. This is uncompassionate, unprofessional behavior.

As a former student of PCI I would NOT recommend going here. It seems super nice at first and everyone is super friendly until you actually go to school there. The educators act like they are still in high school and show a lot of favoritism. They are overly-controlling of what the students do and are very manipulative, along with not know how to teach at all. They have a camera in the break room (where they also refuse to fix the heat and have a rodent problem) and watch students to make sure they are not going over break times. If you bring any issues up you’re pretty much dealing with a brick wall of no help. If you don’t have clients they make you do inventory or clean. They also bully you into leveling up to make your coach and the school more money and lie to you and will tell you it matters for when you go out and get a job. There is never enough product, tools, and towels for the students and you are always scrambling to find things just to do a service. The towels and sheets available to us are stained and dirty also. I honestly feel like I wasted my money on a VERY disappointing program. Wouldn’t want anyone else going through that hell hole joke of a school.

I arrived at 9:55 for a 10:00 facial appointment. I had called earlier in the day to confirm the appointment. I texted twice (per their instructions to wait outside and text) that I was there with no response. I called 4 times but no one answered and it just went to voicemail. After 30 min of waiting with no call or text back, I called to say I had to leave. The girl who finally answered said “oh our text must not be working.” No apology at all. I drove an hour round trip to wait 35 minutes for nothing. This is the second time they have not responded to texts when we have arrived for appointments. I am not going back.

I had a great experience today with Maria & Nichole at PCI. I went in for a facial and added on some magical sound thing that cleans out your pores. After two solid hours of treatments and massage I never wanted to leave. My skin looks and feel fantastic.Big thanks to Kate for recommending the treatments. I will be back.

My first visit today. I had Rayna and she gave me a scalp facial (to encourage growth) and a haircut. She did very well. I will return.

This school is very professional every time I come here for a service! Great value for the services offered and everyone is very friendly!

Ive been going to PCI academy since they were at the old location. I dont go to anyone else. There has been maybe three times that I wasnt satisfied with my full face waxes in the past three years, and thats because they were level one or two students or used hard wax. Keep in mind, I get my waxes every month. So thats a pretty good damn job they do. I also only get my haircut once a year and I do come here when I want my hair straightened as well. They are awesome!

It took way too much of my time and for the service I received it was not worth it. Over 6 hrs for and they wanted over 100 dollars of my hard earned money. Pci academy there wont be a next time.

I had an appointment with Veronica a few weeks ago. She was absolutely WONDERFUL! I had black and red box dye in my hair (and like 6 months regrowth) and wanted to go blonde. She made sure to educate me, informing me that my hair may not lift to the color I wanted due to what was previously on my hair. I showed her my desired look with a picture and we found a more realistic look together. It turned out lighter than we both thought and I absolutely love my hair. 1 would 100% recommend PCI, students and educators are absolutely fabulous! Thank you!

Save your Time and Money go to any other school for Basic Esthetics and Advance Practice Esthetics!!! The programs have gone downhill due to the lack of educators providing the education to the students. Only worthy educator in that program is Ms. Francen but she can’t do it alone. There are many educators that have the AP educators license but don’t have the knowledge or skills to be holding that license. It’s sad that they were able to grandfather in without the experience. The floor experience as an esthetics student has been very dreadful. Their focus is not on our education but rather on us earning the money for PCI Academy. I understand the school is teaching us business basics so we can earn the most when we go out to our career but them not providing the education/knowledge correctly is not going to help us succeed in the beauty world.

Just had a wonderful facial and brows waxed with Kayla Z. She was so professional with outstanding customer service explained each step and reason for it. I left there so relaxed and my skin is glowing. If your looking to pamper yourself ask for Kayla you wont be sorry you did. My brows have never looked better

I had an appointment last Wednesday for a bleach and tone for 1:00. I arrived at 12:45 and checked in. I waited until almost 1:30 before someone finally came to check on things. The lady at the counter said I’m going to check on your stylist brb. She NEVER came back to me. She sent some poor girl who said “I’m starting your hair but I have to leave in an hour” so.... I thanked her for attempting. She was beyond super nice and I felt was very much there for me. Then she had someone else come help her do my hair and then I was passed off on to Maddy. Who then washed my hair and toned it to the no where near the color I wanted. I wanted to cry. She informed that she had another client and couldn’t style my hard only blow dry it. PCI was referred to me by a friend and I was beyond excited but was sadly disappointed with the results. I understand things happen and people get moved around and I will schedule a redo for hopefully tomorrow, but we shall see what happens.

I have been there a couple of times and will continue to go back. I have had my hair done and facials. The students were all very nice and welcoming. Prices are great. I would recommend to everyone.

The student I had took five hours to color my hair. The instructor didn’t know what was going on with what student did with my hair. After everything was done instructor looks at students work and gave her a big compliment on a wonderful job she did. I got home and found out to my surprise student missed a bunch of layers, went to a salon and she couldn’t believe what a big mess up on my hair. I called to see if I could get some money back all I was offered was to get someone else to fix my hair, wouldn’t bring my dog to this place,

My experience was absolutely wonderful! I got a cut and color. The color turned out so beautiful and so did my haircut. The student that worked on me is extremely talented. All the students at this beauty school are all extremely talented. I highly recommend this institute because of their wonderful service. The young lady that did my hair truly listened and heard exactly what I wanted. She explained everything to me in full detail so I would understand the process, which I found very impressive. Andra is amazing!!! Went in for my first facial, and she was very informative, gentle, and knowledgeable about skin, and how to care for skin. From start to end, she was extremely thorough in her work and it clearly reflects on how she performs. I’ve been stressed from work and school, she created the perfect atmosphere for me to relax. 10/10 would not recommend. I originally chose this school because it was recommended to me by a family friend and it was also in budget. Originally when I had toured this school everything seemed great. Everyone seemed friendly and all the staff were kind as well. What I didn’t realize was how disorganized this school was. As students, we were instructed to write our name on a board with our time and what the reason would be. Consults with teachers could take up to 15 minutes if you didn’t just grab one. I’ve had people in my chair in that school complain about how long it takes, not to mention notice how disorganized it was also. Although, it was unintentional, grading sheets and requirements would often get lost as well. I mean come on, that’s important documentation that students shouldn’t have to keep track of themselves. What’s the point of turning them in then?? How is it that when a student is about to graduate, these sheets magically get lost??? There were a few educators who I genuinely loved and others not so much. The ones I didn’t love as much were just simply rude. I mean I had clients who would tell me how rude some of the educators were. Anyways, spend your money else where. It’s cool and all that they pay for your first PSI test, but honestly had I known what I know now, I would’ve spent the money at Aveda.

Very unprofessional!!! I only gave it a 1 Star because I had to choose at least one. My credit card was charged twice for services. So not okay!!! It was charged at the time of service, then a week later charged again. To this day, which is over a month later I still have NOT received my refund. I called PCI multiple of times, with little to no help. The FOUR people I have spoken to just took down my name and number, amount of service, and last four of my credit card. They reassured they would reach out to the company to get me a refund...that didn’t happen!! So, I went in to speak with someone, still no help. She took forever (about 20 minutes to come see me) and reeked of cigarettes, she then gave me the number to a man who would be able to refund me, still nothing. At this point, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go their if you’re paying with a credit card. My services were good, because my cousin is an amazing future estethitician. After she’s done. I’d never go back.

As a graduate and educator at PCI I can proudly say this is a school for students of beauty who are serious about pursuing a career in the industry. If you are motivated to find a career you are passionate about and can earn a great living this is the school for you! If you are looking for quality services and are open to providing students an opportunity to learn you will love the salon and spa environment.

I go here all the time for facials. Its amazing. Everyone is professional and knows what they are doing. All of the students and staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and I always leave with information and products that have greatly helped my skin. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my skin care needs.

Ive been going to PCI Academy since 2006 when they were located in New Hope & had 2 previous names. Theyve really evolved over time with products & services. The location in Plymouth is wonderful, too. I would also say customer service has evolved, as well. Ive had my share of inconveniences over the years, but when I have, theyve always been taken seriously and addressed appropriately by the educators to rectify the situation. Mr. Valdez, Ms. Strouts, Ms. Gomez are all amazing educators who give great feedback & help the students learn & do better. I recommend PCI Academy all the time. People need to keep in mind, its a school. They are students learning & doing their best. Keep up the great work PCI Academy!

As a student at Pci I think they need someone to come in and flip the entire school! Don’t spend over 12k to come to a school for a couple books and then basically told to teach yourself! Then get bullied by a Educator for not getting enough clients in one month! No I’m not lazy nor am I negative I work very hard and it should be acknowledged. Maybe take some of the money we paid for school and buy some equipment that isn’t broken and make sure we have the products we need to do our services! Hire some nice educators who care and for god sakes get a bigger establishment so we have a place to take our clients!

Anna is amazing...people coming in need to realize this is a school so the student doing the work on you is learning and the only way they can improve is by having people come in to get a service done. So I would highly recommend and promote others to come in and have the student work on you! Hair grows back!

The color and brows were great. The stylist was great. The receptionist, who booked my appointment literally 20 minutes before I came in, then when I arrived told me I didnt talk to her and I didnt have an appointment and I should drive to a different beauty salon in the snow....ONLY AFTER I SHOWED HER my phone, that I had infact call this PCI school and I did speak with her, and I was in the right place, she magically remembered speaking with me and found my appointment. I was then told to sit down and wait. 34 minutes later....someone approached me. It felt very judgmental, and discriminatory.I was charged and had to pay for 2 bowls of dye, WHEN IN FACT I only used one, AND MY STYLIST TOLD THE INSTRUCTOR ONLY ONE WAS USED. Response: When you are in a real salon you will need to charge for 2 bowls. ~ I am paraphrasing, you get the jist. Can we say illegal? I left over a 20% cash tip to prove the validity of this complaint. It isnt about money. It is about the principles and values of this company.Appointment was at 11aCalled back at 11:34a.From reading the other reviews, I agree, the instructors were rude and did speak down to the students when I was there. I also agree, the proper supplies were not readily available. I agree it is directly in front of the clients. I agree it makes the clients uncomfortable.For the owner response, who responds to all the reviews here, in anticipation of your response to send an email....No, thank you, I will not send an email anywhere. It is a waste of my time. What I will do is invest my money elsewhere. There is a clear pattern of egotistical behavior, lack of leadership, and constant greed to name a few.I do not reccomend to anyone.

Wonderful experience at PCI Academy! I believe my stylist’s name was Madison. She did exactly what I wanted with my hair and got the color perfect. A lot of other (regular) salons I’ve been to couldn’t get the color blonde I wanted, but they got it exactly right! :) I’ve also been going to multiple beauty colleges for years, but this one has been the best yet. The instructor was very nice as well. He truly cared if his students were doing the right job, and checked constantly to make sure everything was good! 😊 I was very impressed and will be back again!

I had Star as my stylist and she did my Balayage or “Foilayage” :) She was wonderful! She is gentle and careful and delicate in her work. Keep in mind, they are students! So don’t criticize too much, everyone starts somewhere! Just like you :)Anyway, I’m very happy with my services. I plan to return to see Star! Thanks PCI :)

To start off, I do want to say I love PCI academy and this is the only time I’ve had an issue.. I made an appointment for 4:45pm and I got a couple calls an hour before my appointment. I called them back about 3:45/3:50 and spoke with someone who said my stylist was just running a little behind (about 15-20 minutes) and asked if I could be there about 5. I was driving from circle pines, stuck in rush hour, and my phone wasn’t near me. I pulled into the parking lot at 4:40 and right as I was about to park I got a phone call saying they weren’t able to do my hair tonight but they could do it tomorrow at 5pm.. so I had to turn around and drive all the way back to circle pines in rush hour again. :( I get it, things happen in the industry (I am a former hairstylist) I get that you sometime get behind.. But there needs to be someway that we aren’t changing appointments around that many times in an hour, especially for people like me who travel a good time to support this school. Like I said, all the other times I’ve loved my work that was done.. this time however I was not satisfied with how scheduling was handled.

I’ve never personally had a service done here but my child is a student and complains about how the students are treated and some clients. It’s very upsetting to hear how my child thinks everyday she drives to “hell”. Would not recommend sending your child here for schooling. Education and services may be ok, but not how they are treated by educators.

All these students are great. They love what they do and work very hard at it. I have had several haircuts there and never been unhappy with the work.

The students do an outstanding job; the educators really assist the students to assure a great experience for the client; I have had some difficulty with hair color staying in my hair; the educators and students have worked very hard to correct the issue by trying several techniques and making modifications as needed. Things are perfect now. The educators and students are all very friendly and want to please the customer. This school provides a terrific experience for clients.

Called and made an appointment here on Thursday for Saturday afternoon. When I got there I was about 20 minutes early. Went to check in and I was told I didn’t have an appointment. I explained I had called days prior and made it. Lady working said they had an appointment scheduled for me for Sunday afternoon. Guess what? They’re not open Sunday afternoons. She also said no one could do my hair at the time. I was moreso irritated at the fact that there was no apology or anything along the lines. I felt as though the whole ordeal was unprofessional. I will be taking my money to another beauty school.

Been here many times and have had many different students cut and color my hair. They have always been able to take what Im trying to describe, and make recommendations that will ultimately give me the look Im wanting. Educators review the process carefully and Ive never been disappointed. Absolutely cant beat the price either.

Recently came to PCI for a chemical peel and was very happy with my student Gretta as well as my service. Every other part about my experience was quite poor. Customer service at the front desk could use some serious improvements on top of the educators being blatantly rude to their students. It appears as though Im not the only one that notices this, I hope its more pleasant to learn at than to visit!

My nails looked horrible and I would never recommend coming for a cheaper service. I don’t understand how you call and ask for someone who does nails specifically but you get a hair stylist and then tell me nothing is free. I still am going to get different nails they looked unacceptable. The lady did only one leg with the scrub and massage and neglected the other one? But they still had me pay full price. Never again.

I had a terrible experience at Regis Salon in Roseville and came in to get that fixed with Emma Kline. I am so beyond happy with the results and i feel so beautiful now. Thank you to Emma and Ms. G for helping me get the hair i originally wanted.

Alright let me start off by saying 95% of the educators that I had been taught/educated by were great, they pushed you to do better and tried to help out where and when they could. Now how the school was and is actually ran is a completely different story. First of all my biggest complaint/concern and what inclined me to write this review is that it took almost 7 weeks for my license to come in the mail! I filled out my application to receive my license on February 26th and I was informed (as were all of the other students who graduated at that time) that my application paperwork was going to be mailed to the MN board of cosmetology that day. Great, cool, fantastic so they should have had it by the end of that week, so maybe March 1st at the very latest. When I hadn’t received my license by about the end of March (about 4 weeks after filling out the paperwork) I went on the MN board website and read that once they receive an application it takes NO MORE than 15 days to review and get it sent out in the mail. So I called the board to see if the was any issues with the paperwork. Nope they just hadn’t received it until March 15th, so that means PCI held onto my application for my license for a good 10 days or so before actually mailing it in. Because of that I was unable to start my job on time and missed out on two weeks of pay and being able to do services. I chose PCI because of the convenience of location and because it seemed like a great place when I had toured. It’s not ran like a school but more of a business, and because of this everything was about money. Couldn’t practice services on each other unless someone paid for the service, which got tricky for some students and requirements especially when they had taken on more students than they could handle and have clients for. I’m grateful they taught us the business side of everything don’t get me wrong, but it was taken a little overboard by some. The owner came up to meet with almost every student in the esty program because so many students had been complaining but anything valid someone would bring up an excuse was made and not a whole lot changed. I know the educators had tried their best to keep everything running smoothly when there were extra students so that wasn’t really the issue, just that the school needs to be more organized with everything and find a better and more efficient way to help their students, because the students are the one earning the money for the school.

This school is poorly ran, extremely inconsistent when enforcing rules and very unprofessional. We will be contacting the Attorney Generals office and filing a complaint against this school.PCI has some unfair practices going on. Possibly illegal. We will get to the bottom of this. Youll have to explain your harmful actions.This school is all about how much money they can collect from the students and then kicking them out 6 months into a 7 month program with no recourse.Stay tuned.

Loved the facial I got this past weekend from student Summer. Very relaxing and left my skin feeling much softer, and red spots and blemishes reduced greatly!

The price and services here are good! Ive had my lashes done multiple times and so far one microderm. All worth it for the price. My overall complaint comes from guest services. Calling and making an appointment is horrible. Youll be lucky if they answer. Its unfortunate because if you need something done its impossible to schedule an appointment. You can leave voicemail but they will never get back to you. Ive also had rude encounters when checking out after a service. For example, after the first service I got done my girl gave me those $10 off coupons. I was never told to recommend a friend to receive a $10 off my next service, so I used one after my second lash service. The girl in guest services got upset at me and told me I wasnt allowed to do that. I understand how it works now but back then no one told me. She was so rude and treated me like a child when my debit card wasnt working after too. You know when someone thinks your dumb so they purposely talk slower? Exactly like that. In my opinion its always horrible guest services. Dont take it out on the ladies doing the actual services. Hopefully management sees this.

Maybe the nicest beauty college ever? Honestly, I had a great time here. What started out as a quick hair appt turned into a facial and massage. My technicians were so friendly, caring, and accomodating (not to mention talented!) I will be back here to take advantage of their current specials!

My 15 year old daughter got a TERRIBLE ombre by a friends mom that claimed she does hair. My daughter has dark brown hair and had a sharp line of bleached orange/brass hair at the bottom, and her natural color at the top. I thought it was unsavable (if thats a word). I brought her here to see if anything could be done, I figured it really couldnt get worse. I wish I would have gotten the name of the student/teacher pair that worked with my daughter because they did an AMAZING job. They managed to blend her natural hair color back down to the ends and gave her more subtle highlights. All for less than $100. If I wouldve taken her to a salon to get this corrected I know I would have paid between $300-$400 (my daughter has super thick hair). I was beyond impressed with their skill and quality. I might drop going to a salon myself and start going there to get my hair done too. Great job PCI!

I went in for a haircut today from Jenna P and cannot even begin to say how wonderful she did! The educators were there to answer any questions she had and were very supportive! Everyone very courteous and professional! Will definitly be going back and would recomend to all

I went for a hair color two days ago. Just to cover up some grey at the roots and pull the color down a bit. It took 3.5 hours and I left with soaking wet hair, a burnt scalp and no greys covered. I have gone to beauty schools in the past and I do understand the process but this girl must have been brand new or their training process is horrible. It took her 15 minutes just to mix the color and then from the time she started applying color to the time she finished it was two hours. I have tried calling to talk to someone to get it fixed and they never answer their phones, I left a voicemail and no one has called me back.

I had a perm scheduled May 17th with Raegyn at 9am. I had originally contacted her on March 23rd to schedule a color/chemistry treatment on May 3rd, and the perm/cut May 17th at 9 AM. Even that took a lot of time to work with her schedule, and we didnt get anything set until April 10th. I do not live around here and work in Eau Claire, WI most weeks M-F, but like to support my friend in school. Since I knew I would have the day off, I scheduled a dentist appointment at 2 pm as well. That would leave 9am-1pm for a perm and cut. 4 hours is plenty of time for this.I scheduled this so far out just so I could get work off. I had my hair colored on the 3rd as planned and everything was fine. I even purchased some expensive products that were recommended by the educator (Ms. Gomez) just so I could get my perm done May 17th, 2 weeks later, and not melt my hair off. I was told using these products would be the only way this would be possible, so I shelled out $60 on top of my already expensive bill.Then 5/16 I received a confirmation text saying my appointment was at 11am, not at 9am. I contacted Raegyn who stated Well they moved it to 11 cause we have some education class tomorrow 9-11. They didnt clear it with me. Now, because I have a dentist appointment at 2 and cant possibly have a cut and perm done by 1 according to Raegyn and educators, I had to cancel my appointment. The next day I am able to get off work is June 15th. A whole month after my appointment!I would like to know why it is okay to move appointments around 2 hours like that without asking the client? I have been waiting for months to get this done and now have to reschedule for a month from now. What if I had had work that day? I am extremely disappointed with PCIs scheduling from the 3 times Ive been scheduled. I may not even come back as I wasted over $60 in product (which I wouldnt have purchased if I had known itd be 6 weeks between my color and perm) and took the day off work to come in. Every time Ive tried to schedule has been a fight. I do love supporting Raegyn, but there needs to be a better system for scheduling.I deserve a refund for those expensive products I purchased, just so my hair would be healthy for a perm today, and an apology for moving my appointment without my consent, causing it to be rescheduled for a month from now. A salon would not do this. Please change something.Also, I wouldnt go here if you want a balayage or highlight (any lightening treatment) lighter than a dirty blonde. Neither of my 2 colors have been as light as had wanted, but both were okayed by educators. I think Raegyn is a great cosmetologist so far, but the academy is terrible to schedule with.***Response to owner 5/23:Firstly, you should NOT reschedule any scheduled appointments without confirming with the client no matter what. Doesnt matter if youre a school or not. That was not okay.Secondly, you DO have the correct phone number for me because you called and texted to remind me of my appointment time, which is how I learned there was something changed.Thirdly, I deserve a refund for those products. $60 is over 6 hours of work for me and I would NOT have purchased them if I knew my appointment would be 6 weeks out, not 2. When I was scheduled for 2 weeks out the educator said I needed them to get the perm. Now its just a plain waste of money. I did everything in my power to be ready for the perm appointment and your academy messed up the schedule wasting my $60. You should know when classes are to be held more than a few days in advance and only should schedule them if the schedule clears, not pushing appointments back without the clients approval. These products had nothing to do with my color. They were for the sole purpose of getting my hair permed in 2 weeks. Not 6.***EDIT 2: Spoke with the stylist and rescheduled for June 15th. Owner stated that there was no education class that day and no refund would be given for products.

I took my daughter and her friends to PCI for her 6th birthday and cant say enough about how wonderful PCI was to work with! They made it so easy and fun for the girls (and even moreso for me!!!) Thank you again for everything! I will most certainly be back to PCI for additional services!!

Ive done the web-appointment thing three times and never received a call back -- even tho I got a confirmation email. Called on the third time and they said someone would call me back. Never happened. Found someone on FB that wanted to do low-lights so I got in that way. I asked for very subtle low-lights in chocolates and/or reds. What I got was a whole head of dirty brown hair. The instructor wound up doing HALF my hair -- which left the color completely uneven. The instructor left before it was even complete but she said, as she breezed out You can come back another time to get high lights or something closer to what you wanted. The student took almost 15 minutes to clean the sink when we were done -- I was there over 4 hours. Student never even finished drying my hair even tho it was well below zero outside. My hair looked so bad that my family just stood and gaped at me. Was I planning to go back there again and let them have a second stab at it? NO WAY. Wound up having to have another salon completely bleach my head and get it out. Tried to call to talk to some sort of manager and was told someone would call me back. Which never happened. Avoid going here. If you go, get a student who is almost done with their instruction. DO NOT get a student who has just started there.

The school is good but a lot of us are struggling to get our requirements done on time. we aren’t allowed to practise on eachother really, and every student has two whole weeks! blocked off for “student services” where we aren’t even allowed to take in clients! We can ONLY do laundry on those weeks! Which we do every day anyway if we don’t have clients in. It’s winter and not many want to drive out to let a student cut their hair so we don’t really get that many clients in a day. When we don’t have a client we’re expected to just do laundry and stare at eachother. It would just be a lot better if we could straight up practice on eachother and get our requirements done id feel like I’d be in a safer spot for my future with my education because where it sits now, I’m afraid I won’t even get my requirements done by graduation.

Went in for a partial highlight and cut. Nothing too difficult, or so I thought. I get that its a school and theres training as you go, but this was absolutely ridiculous! Pretty sure it was the girls first time ever doing foils because I have never had someone be so slow...ever. When washing my hair she kept pulling her fingers through my tangled hair and it hurt! I told her and it got a bit better. Highlights turned out WAY too blonde. The 1st teacher had told her what color to use.....leading me to wonder how good are the teachers? 2 more teachers come over and figure out how to fix my hair....oh joy she gets to do foils on me AGAIN. One of the teachers helped because she could tell I was very very annoyed. Back to the sink again for more hair pulling. The cut was better, but was still choppy and needed to be fixed by a teacher. Im rating a 2, because my hair eventually came out ok, and they were all very nice and I could tell they were trying. It just shouldnt take me 5 HOURS TO GET A HIGHLIGHT AND A CUT!! Oh, and my scalp STILL hurts from all the pulling. Got a headache from it actually. Will probably never go back.

My three friends and I scheduled about 3 weeks before prom (back in May) for lash extensions. Our contact information was given for each of us and they had our info as well. MY AUNT who formerly worked there, had to TELL US our appt was cancelled a week prior. NO ONE CONTACTED US. I called twice and asked why our appt was cancelled, and never heard back. One of my friends called after numerous times and finally it was said that there was a “last min graduation for the students doing the lashes”. how do you schedule someone during graduation then? very unprofessional, and still no call back.

Great students who do quality services for great prices. I come here for facials haircuts and mani/pedi. The only reason for not giving five stars is that they aren’t the best with time. It’s been twice where I leave over an hour later than I wa supposed to which has made me late for work and for other priorities. I set appointments to ensure time such as 9 am mani pedi and 10:15 facial and leave an hour later which makes me feel bad for rushing the students. Understandable that students take longer than standard services but people do have other priorities outside of the salon. I will still return here because the services are great

You know the school is bad when they have to have the whole staff give 5 star reviews to bring the rating up because everyone else is giving bad ratings. #justsaying

I got a gel mani and regular pedi where the polish job, literally made my friends cringe when i showed them. The gel polish came off completely in 4 days, and there were bumps and unpainted areas on both my nails. Along with the bad polish job the student working on my toes cut to far into my cuticle causing it to hurt 4 days afterwards. And after it all when her fellow teacher came around he gave her a 100% on my nails. To me 100% means youve mastered it and have no more learning to do which in this case, she did not master my nail job.

The worst place Ive ever been to. I went to get my eyelash extensions filled and they did a horrible job to the point were the lashes werent even on and chunks of places that diddnt have lashes. Then I told the instructor and she said you got the service done so you have to pay for it. Horrible place I will never go back dont waste your money and go get them done professionally!!!

The staff are very unprofessional. I feel that they discriminate against the trans community. No valid reasons at to why they make decisions they do. Giving false hope to students who’ve applied. Very bad place.

I would not reccomend them. Very shady with money. I was a student and I was told that if I referred a friend and they finished school that I’d receive a $200 gift card. I called multiple times and never received it.
