Through my experience at RMUoHP, I have gained confidence in researching and applying evidence-based research to my daily practice. When I have a clinical or ethical challenge, I am now equipped to search out the latest research and apply it to the current situation.

My experience at RMUoHP was amazing. It began with my inquiry and application to the program! From the very beginning, every interaction with all staff members and faculty has always been very professional and positive! All inquires and requests were handled expeditiously. From the educational aspect…all of the faculty was stellar! I learned so much from each and every professor. The professors were very accommodating and supportive during some times of personal turmoil. Dr. Jan Reese was amazing and made learning the technology seamless! Dr. McClary has been an awesome educator and mentor throughout this entire program. She was always only a text or call away! Drs. Shibinski & Martin really did a wonderful job teaching the fundamentals of becoming an educator and helping me establish a strong foundation…their step ladder approach helped me understand so clearly. Dr. Rust has also been instrumental in my success…it all started from a message received from Dr. Rust via LinkedIn! He has done a great job putting together this program and faculty. As I stated previously…it has been a great experience from beginning to end!!!Leticia Camacho, PA-CDMSc-Cohort 4New York Presbyterian/Hospital forSpecial SurgeryNew York City, NY

RMU completely changed my LIFE! I have made lifetime friends, and we have been there for each other not only through school-related things but through everything else that life consists of. Career-wise, I went from going to work every day and being satisfied just where I was to having a desire for growth and excellence in my profession. I enjoy learning more about my craft now and researching the very best evidence-based practices for my clients. During school, I have received several certifications that have increased my knowledge, and many of them I learned about from my classmates. Now, I am the only SLP in my entire state to provide one particular swallowing treatment and one of about seven people to provide two other treatments. In addition, RMU was essential in me learning how to start a private practice and improved my confidence in myself that I can actually run one! Now, I am running a successful practice with five independent contractors. Also, I am in a position where I am almost ready to transition to doing my private practice full time, which will increase my salary even more while having more time with my family. RMU is a perfect place to jumpstart anyone looking to surpass all their career and life goals! I highly recommend RMU!!!Glinda Mauldin, ClinSciD CCC-SLP

RMUoHP has helped this learner translate evidence based practice into working with clients and advocacy. The program is integrated with nurturing faculty who are learner-centered. They seek to support my academic and professional pursuits. RMUoHPs hybrid program allowed me to pursue higher education without sacrificing development of my clinical skills in the real world. I would recommend RMUoHP to those that want the best of both worlds. Though challenging, it was worthwhile.I am thankful for faculty and fellow learners motivating me to not settle for complacency. There is always more to do for my clients, my profession, and myself. That foundation was built here and it will continue to grow.Seaton Ng, MS, OTR/LEBS Healthcare, Occupational TherapistMillbrae, CA

I learned a lot at RMU. I learned a lot about becoming a PT and how to be a good one, not just someone who just gets by. I have met a lot of great friends from school and I feel that all of the professors are very personable and know who you are and care about how youre doing. You dont get lost and just become a number which I really enjoyed.

RMUoHP gave me a foundation of physical therapy knowledge, but moreover, it challenged me to keep growing in my profession in knowledge, service, and leadership. The DPT program encouraged continued evidence-based practice and investigating research to continue with the best patient care. They really preached service as an aspect of our profession, and challenged us with continuing to provide service for both to our local and global communities. I also feel like RMUoHP really tasked us with service in leadership positions. They emphasized how important getting involved with leadership is for our profession. I have always felt supported by any and all professors as mentors since graduating from RMU and now that I currently work there, there is still that sense of comradery and support. Though RMU raises the bar for how they feel healthcare professionals should be educated and practice, they strongly support their students to achieve this standard.

I had a great experience in my 20 month Masters Program. I was very happy with the quality of my professors, their availability and level of involvement. I was also very happy with the interaction with my fellow students in the virtual education environment something I had no experience with prior to the program.Overall I am a better coach with a significant quantity of science behind my practice.

My husband attends this school and I would highly recommend it to anyone! He graduates in a couple months and we have been very pleased with his education here. As we are getting close to him getting a job, we realize how prepared he is because of the school. He has scored above the national average on his practice board exams. We love the atmosphere the school has created. The small class size has made close knit friendships. We will forever be grateful for this school!

One of the best things about RMU is the campus staff. For the past two years I have been greeted every single time I walked in or out of the school by the front desk staff/campus operation staff. They are the best and the coolest people I have ever met! They are super friendly and always brightened my day, especially on those gloomy test days. My wife came to lunch almost every day for a year and she agrees! We have even become really good friends with some of the staff outside of school. Life long friends!

Choosing to attend RMUoHP is absolutely the best thing I could have done for myself and my family. PA school is a challenge but at RMUoHP, I can trust the faculty to support us the entire way. When I say “us”, that includes my kids as well as my husband. They care about success in the classroom, but also in our personal life. Everyone has truly become my second family and the atmosphere is focused on students. My depth of knowledge has grown, but I have also grown as an individual because of the school’s holistic philosophy. I can’t say enough about this school.

Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) is a hidden gem in the Rockies! I came across an ad for this school during my search for a graduate nursing program and I am glad I took a leap of faith and applied. My experience at this institution has been nothing but amazing. The quality of faculty and the university facilities were all vital to our learning experience. Led by Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at RMUoHP should be your first choice in selecting where to get your doctorate!! The DNP program was challenging yet suitable for anyone with a busy schedule. I was fortunate to find RMUoHP through a professional contact within the NSCA; my state director. She knew I was looking to obtain a terminal degree focused on human performance and/or health promotion, yet couldnt travel away from St. Louis to attend a resident program. The thing that told me I made a great decision was meeting the faculty during out onsite visits. The faculty has been world class. The second best part, and ultimately the most important part, has been the connections Ive made with my peers both in my cohort and those from other cohorts. Getting my doctoral degree from RMUoHP has been the best professional decision I have made and I cant wait to get my dissertation finished and published!Victor Kizer, MS, CSCS*D, TSAC-F*DMaryville University, St. Louis, MOGuardian Performance Institute, St. Louis, MO
