In my opinion, NO ONE should send their child to the School of Promise! She enrolled our kids, took money for their curriculum fee, then didnt order their materials! She made copied of the books she already had! My fourth grader got loose leaf papers as her workbook!! I paid for the books, my children should get the books, not copies! This is a huge violation of copyright laws!!! How can a business be so devious to copy all the materials for the children when all the parents pay for the books!!! My second grader was put in third grade because they already had it and could just copy what they had. She had some crazy excuse saying my son was ready for third grade, but just 3 months prior had said he tested low for second grade!! They are super high pressure. The woman would not leave my house until I signed my kids up. The teacher is really nice, but not trained in the curriculum. If your child is special needs, then this school may work for your child, but in my opinion the administrator makes this program a sham! My son was sent into another room with one of the grandparents of a student to play games for hours on several occasions. They also both spent way too much time playing games, putting together puzzles, and other activities. For what you pay, your children should be working, not playing!!! Be AWARE that if you decide to use her services, she makes you sign a lengthy contract, but may not tell you this. I dont want anyone to make the same horrible mistake I made!!This review is only a representation of my opinion because the owner has threatened to sue me for slander, but I feel others should be warned!!!!!

Please stay far away from these services & employment. This owner does not follow simple employment laws, or tax regulations. She is a fraud. Beware. She will either not pay minimum wage, decide to pay you late or not at all, and worse, she steals customers money!

Disappointed!!!!! I would recommend that you look elsewhere for tutoring services! They took 479 dollars from us and NEVER provided our son with a tutor. When I cancelled my contract and requested a refund, the director refused to refund my money. I had a bad feeling when she came to my house; I should have trusted my instincts and not signed the contract. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for tutoring services!!! It is my opinion that they only care about tuition payments and not the children at all.

After trying to bully us into an unwanted group tutoring situation, they provided our 6th grade child with a tutor who admitted she only does 1st grade math. Our child spent most of the time TEACHING the tutor, and when he had a question she googled it on her phone. Linda, the director, was very hostile and refused to let us out of the contract, insinuating that I didnt care enough about my child to continue with their services. She shouted at me over the phone, and continued to insult the town and the education system in an attempt to keep me as a client. Do not waste your time or your money. Hire a high school student or someone through the teaching program at CSU-P.

This company charged my account $370 before any tutoring services were provided. I called to cancel services before tutoring began and was still charged for supplies and tutoring. Linda told me it was my loss. The lady Linda uses pressure tactics to get people to enroll in additional services not needed. The tutor they were going to set my daughter up with was a foreign person who would not provide his first or last name, just a nickname. This is what prompted me to cancel services, along with pressure tactics and the complete unprofessional manner in which testing occurred. Please do not contact these people. This has been one of the most traumatizing experiences in my life.

Horrible experience! Do not subject yourself to this nightmare. She is a con artist and will bill you for services never rendered. She charged over a hundred dollars for books that were never recieved. When we cancelled services with her, she became rude and angry. She continued to debit out of our account to the point of having to cancel our bank card. She then left several threatening messages on our voicemail and expected us to call her when she chose to use that language. We requested proof of services that we were being charged for and to no surprise....never given anything. We wanted our money back and she refused. She said the files were lost on her computer! She said we owed her even more money. She sent the fake debt to collection anddinged our credit 37 times. This was disputed and all we recieved in return was a copy of a lengthy contract and still no proof of why we owe her money??? Please do not subject yourself to her criminal con artist business.
