I was a student at NSDA in Reno, NV. It was a 2 month program that was not worth the cost and time whatsoever. Before even starting, we (the students) were given completely incorrect schedules than what we were originally told. For example, labs were not supposed to begin until September, yet they actually started in July on a day that was not included in the schedule. The schedule was supposedly Tuesdays (through Zoom), Thursdays (in person), and Sundays (in person). Given such short notice of the first lab (literally two days before the lab), I e-mailed Zoe expressing my worries. All of the students I was classmates with have jobs, including me. I shared my concern with another student who was just as confused as I was about the schedule. Despite this, I received a reply saying that it was not a big deal. To me, this is unacceptable. My time IS a big deal just like the time of all of the others students. During this pandemic, many people have lost their jobs, and NSDA does not care if you are one of those. I am fresh out of high school and I am simply trying to navigate these especially difficult times. To put it simply, NSDA is NOT considerate of the time of its students. They say that they make the schedule the way it is because they want students to be able to keep their jobs, but then they randomly change the schedule almost every single week! I would not recommend this school to anyone.
