When you suspend a student for activities completely unrelated to the school (and originally punish them for showing leadership by supporting an unequal dress code), you are doing the children that attend a horrible disservice and impeding their ability to learn how to make positive change. The administrators who did such a thing should be fired.
Most of these reviews are totally off-base. The case of first-amendment violation is actually a student cussing out a teacher. The whole thing about being a political puppet of the Republican party is both inaccurate about the school (its honestly more left-leaning) and of the Republican party (just because they think differently doesnt make them evil!). The schools not perfect, but its done a lot of good for its students. I wish it had more funding, as the school is extremely overcrowded. Their band is also fantastic, and the school as a whole deserves more credit than its worth. This school is fighting Nevadas place as 50th in education.
I loved graduating from this school! The band program is first class and so are the teachers.
Im an 01 McQueen alumni, so very greatful for all you experts and professionals, Students, Staff, and Alumni. Continue the march! Respectfully, -John Knott reporting in
Good school. Well kept and teachers care.
Administration is puppets of the NRA and Republican Party! Free Noah Christensen! So glad that the ACLU is on his case! Noah, you have support from Oregon! If I could give this school negative stars, then I would.
A terrible school who does not believe in first amendment rights. Do not send your children here if you want them to think for themselves.
The principal is a spineless political puppet who will not stand behind his sudents.
Thats NY school coming back next week
