Applied, tested and was accepted for the nursing program. Decided not to enroll right away and spoke to Pam about starting in June. Reached out in March with no response for weeks only to be told seats were filled and Id hear from her end of August for the October cohort. Called and emailed with no response from anyone to date.... even included the director in the last email and still nothing.

If you ask people, you might get mixed reviews, but honestly, if you dedicate yourself to your education you will be rewarded. Don’t go there with unreasonable expectations... this program isn’t simple. It isn’t something you can do in your free time... with that being said.... The instructors, staff, and even the dean all dedicate themselves to each and every individual students success. It’s a hard program... and without their help and support, it can feel overwhelming... but if you want to be a nurse, and you want to get there in two years... this program is nothing short of amazing. I encourage everyone considering nursing to explore carrington and work towards becoming a part of the carrington family.

I completed both the Medical Assisting program and the online Associates in Health Sciences program. The teachers at this school are amazing and so beyond supportive. Mrs. Hoovler is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. During my time with the Associates degree Craig would call to check in and make sure everything was ok and if I needed any questions. It’s not a big school so the teachers and other staff can really connect with the students and help in any way that you need. In the end I became certified and found a job just one month after completing the MA program. I plan to take the nursing program through Carrington and recommend everyone to Carrington College, you will not be disappointed!

I HIGHLY recommend anyone to attend this school. The faculty are nurses from the fields they teach and I have never before worked with such a dedicated group of instructors. The staff are likewise dedicated and very helpful. When I graduated I felt like I was leaving behind family! I have attended several colleges while studying for my prerequisites and Carrington exceeded my prior experiences in both quality of instruction and overall professional experience.

When I signed up for this school my intake representative was Tracy in Reno and she was the most sweetest lady I ever met! I cant wait to start! And there will be another review after I start to let you guys know how awsome it is!

This place seems great at first, but the second they have you enrolled all the support staff ignores you. I am using GI Bill benefits and their online classes schedule and lack of financial aid office in the actual facility really makes it difficult to do so. On top of this the only way to further your education once you graduate is through their very very expensive option to do so. Honestly, even if you’re still considering going here you should never start here. Save yourself some money and take all your classes at TMCC. If you have to use Carrington as an option then expect it to be easy when they’re signing you up then expect zero to no support afterwards.

I was a student with Carringtons phlebotomy program. Although there are other options for the phlebotomy certification in Reno, I chose this due to the scheduling of the course. Their course allows for your schoolwork to be done in the first six weeks of classes, with very hands-on learning. By the time I started my clinicals, I was already very confident about my skills as a phlebotomist overall.

I was referred here by a friend who was trying to get into the MA program but she said the adviser/school rep she had was Rachel Herd and she was not great to deal with and decided to go to NNCC instead. I went because I didnt want her judgement to cloud my own so I went to Carrington for bc of the RN program. And I also ended up having Rachel Herd. It was me and a guy that met with her at the same time. Well she never looked at me, nor spoke to me, or even acknowledged u was even present. She only spoke to the guy while I sat there in silence and smiled as she only conversed with the guy. I asked questions and shed answer them without looking at me. So I thought ok maybe she is just into thus dude and shes just trying to hit on him which I was cool with didnt want to interrupt her game. Left excited to come back for the Kaplan testing. 3 months later I called to pay for my test and spoke with her again she seem annoyed and bothered by the excitement in my voice and was not pleasant to speak with over the phone. After the test she had called to go over my scores.. she was toward and said you scored low and went to dead silence so I asked when can I test again she said September so I told her Id call back. She than asked what do you do for a living I said I work in healthcare. And by her tone it was implied that she wanted me to know that I was not that smart. Im just going to go to TMCC and skip this school (Carrington)with their joke of a school rep! Rachel needs to be trained on her manners and looking like she is going to heel over and pass out. And mist importantly no one wants to know that you hate people... what kind of a school rep tells potential students they hate people... isnt it your job to deal with people on the daily, rachel?! Horrible representation of Carrington!

When doing research about this school, and contacting many local schools - I finally found the problem with Carrington. Unfortunately, their nursing program is actually fantastic! Their classes are reputable, as long as they are the nursing courses. The bad. Their general education classes are the problem. They are not regionally accredited, and so UNR, Great Basin, and other local schools will NOT accept their degree. So, if youre intending on getting a bachelors in nursing, after getting your associates - this might not be the best option, for now.

If you go to this school, you need to know that your credits WILL NOT transfer to UNR, TMCC, WNC, or any other regionally accredited college for that matter. This school is great if youre looking for a quick career fix (assuming you can find a job after graduation), but if youre looking to further your education- do not waste your time. The staff will tell you that the credits will transfer to DeVry or some online college, but again, those credits will not transfer to any university due to the schools accreditation.
