The Great Coach Courtney is truly missed. I hope the students remember the skills that he taught them so they can go far in life. This Negative Head Coach now ...lets just say hes all about the check.... and A Role Model... HES NOT!!!...OH WELL!

I have no persona experience. but really. a permission slip to wear a headscarf? You do realize that you should not be able to control something that is 1. not your choice and 2. that you likely have no knowledge of?? Seriously, end those permissions slips for gods sake. you are horrible.

Most of the teachers and students at this school are awesome. However, I feel that it is in need of better leadership. Cheating is rampant, but is not considered a disciplinary offense. Failing athletes (at least the favorites) are allowed to switch teachers, while other struggling students are told class changes arent allowed. There is no consistency with the APs on discipline or expectations. Administration shows favoritism amongst teachers and students. In my opinion, if the school had a principal that focused more on student needs, emphasized academics, and worked towards consistency amongst her assistants, the school would produce true college ready students.

Most of the students seem to really enjoy their time at this school. The Hispanic community is mostly ignored by administration. The district seems to treat this school as a dumping ground and ignores anything the teachers discuss with them.Not a good place to work. Find another school. The administration treats the teachers like children. The teachers are micromanaged and treated poorly. Many good, young teachers have left the teaching ranks after only a year or two because of working here.

This School is literally hell, as a new student here, the school should on the list of the worst schools in Texas. They punish you for crappy reasons, (tardies, dress code, having a phone or ear phone out the hallways and they punish you for cheating too). Most of the teacher here barely teaches and your grades will suffer even if you pay attention you will sill fail. STAY AWAY from this school I am from another school which is about a few miles away in Houston bad the school is way better than here and FBISD. Will never come back here again!

If everybody at bush was dumb then there wouldn’t be long list of students getting scholarships without even counting athletes and if travis is so great go talk about them on their page No Tigers should be disrespecting us on Bronco page including wannabe Tigers that still go to this school even though they talk about how bad it is. if this school is so bad and u still go then why are you here . Im pretty sure Travis wouldn’t want ignorant students or wannabe tigers ranting about other schools anyway.P.S. We are gonna win today in Mercer @7

A bunch of people running into each other, a guy at the front says 2+2, people in the back say 4, and then the bell rings and they give you a carton of milk and a piece of paper that says you can go take a dump or something. ITS NOT A PLACE FOR SMART PEOPLE. Now I know thats not a popular opinion, but thats my 2 cents on the issue.

Im a student and i cant even learn because whenever i ask a question i get ignored or even called stupid. How am i suppose to learn if teachers dont want to teach? This school ignores our cry for help. If one person gets in a fight the whole school is punished for someone elses mistake. Now they want to shorten thanksgiving and winter break! How dare they do this to us students! We have voices and let us be heard!

Im a senior , went here for my freshmen and softmore year. Was awful. 2 kids leave out trash and the principal(? I believe) would shut down the outside patio for the whole semester. caught with drugs youre sent to Mr woods with other drug dealers. Great plan guys. 😒 on top of that for orientation one of the female principals (?) Told everybody fat girls should not wear skirts and that it looks bad. OUT OF LINE. you NEVER berate beautiful fat teenagers for wearing skirts and trying to look good. Horrible lady, dr crear is. The male principal was wonderful and very comforting when I was caught with a small amount of triple cs and sent off to Mr woods. (Where my habit would just get worse till rehab) awful school principals. English teachers are amazing tho.

Im going to be very fair. My oldest son has been attending George Bush High for his third year now and this year my other son started his freshman year. I love majority of the teachers but change is needed. Starting with the very top. Principal Crear, oh excuse me I mean Dr. Crear (because she will correct you) lacks leadership and control. Dr. Crear often acts like a child when handling and addressing important issues at the school. What I mean by that: She uses slang and current lingo when addressing the student body. She responds in a very emotional way which displays she lacks control over situations. I have remained quiet for some time now but this lady needs to get control over herself. I know Bush High is looked at as one of the ghetto schools in the district. It really isnt. The student body generally respects each other and remain for the most part non confrontational. Occasional you will hear of a fight. What school doesnt have the occasional fight? But, trust me... its hell to pay if there is one. The school is on lock down. No hall passes for weeks, microwaves get taken out of the cafeteria, along her daily lecturing to try to validate her actions. Its just ridiculous to me. The whole school gets punished by a few peoples actions. Mind you these students are suspended or sent to alternative school are able to use the restroom at any given time along with warm up food when they please. All of this is done with no warning. The kids refer to her dropping the mic when she addresses the student body on the loud speaker. She often shows out in her words and then follows with dropping the mic. Very immature. I was really hoping for her to be replaced this year and was disturbed to hear of her returning yet for another year. The district really needs to step in.

I graduate in 2015, and honestly this has been the greatest 3 going on 4 years of my life. I wouldnt change a thing about it

It smells like wet Doritos in the locker room which is probably why a damn tuberculosis break out happened and half the school had to be tested. Let me start this off by saying...MOST teacher here have the it doesnt affect me im still get payed mindset. NO ONE here care about if you learn if an administrator see you with the smallest hole in your jeans youre fried. Strait to the office and if you cant get anyone to bring you cloths they send you home huh? Youre making me miss a full days of work because you dont like the way i dress? Cmon now son. They dont even know how to work a ac its either freezing to the point where you dont wanna be here or extra hot and you start sweating! Let me remind you, these people with degrees can not work an ac they dont even notice because all their offices are always perfect while the rest of the school is burning. And the principle wants to scare you to the point where you dont wanna do anything. The administrators arent even fair they accused me of something i didnt do! but when they look at the cameras they see a kid who doesnt look ANYTHING like me even though the ap was swearing up and down it was me she SAW me with her own eyes apparently huuuuuh they more childish then the children at this school if its not their way then it doesnt happen. And if you do something they dont like its strait to frendell. For example my friend made a joke aps didnt like strait to frendell day one of school, NO SECOND CHANCE over a joke. Theres a reason why teachers and students want to leave ASAP bush is going downhill. I give this school at most 7 years before they shut it down. Plenty of my friends left this school because of how poorly it is managed how poorly it is maintained and how some teachers literally harass you. It feels like we dont have a principle the only time ive ever seen her do anything is sing happy birthday for kids at lunch. The bathrooms are literally the same as the ones in Dairy Queen. why in the frick frack didnt I go to Travis. This school is pathetic, requiring a permission slip in order to wear a headscarf that is part of a religion, this school shows there is going to be a 2nd holocaust in the land of the free and Charles Dupre said oh miscommunications, there cant that big of miscommunications for an assistant principal to come in and say you need a permission slip, they just got scared because of news organizations and lawyers offering help. Well I think George Bush High School is a pretty good school.

This school is full of corruption from the principal. I know because Ive been seen everything that has happen. The athletes in the school get special care while normal student that struggling in this education system may ask for help but noting well change for you cause they do not care about you they only care about the high tier class grades and athletes

RUN RUN RUN THIS SCHOOL IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! You cannot ask anything about your child without receiving attitude back. I was even told to shut up when asking a question.
