The kitchen staff is really splendid. They take the food that is to be prepared for the kids (Monday) & carefully arranged the cornmeal breaded fish planks on sparkling clean baking sheets & put each tray in the ovens for hot food when the kids streamed in at 10:45. The mac & cheese was creamy & easy to eat. Id probably sneak a hot dog cut up in mine, but its a nice simple starch just as it is that is easy on the stomach & great on cold days. The kitchen staff are like Santas elves preparing & fixing things so nicely. Different sauce packets & utensils are out for choosing & vegetables looked good also. Snaps were served today with the fish or Salisbury steak. Everything was put out & served pleasantly, tidy & clean. They worked well together too. I was just a volunteer today. The food tasted good & looked nice too. Glad to be there & wanted. Look forward to returning tomorrow. Pomegranates are on the lunch menu tomorrow. Fun to try different foods. Not sure how to get into them but google will know! What a pretty school & beautiful building. The auditorium is grand. Much to be proud of indeed. What an honor. One of the kids let me in after I moved my truck. Really nice. The custodial staff zipped around like Santas elves too making things shiny & clean for all. No easy job in a large building. Good team & welcoming. Only good things to say about Binford Middle School from a volunteer perspective.
