Our 9 and 7 year old daughters have been riding at Heberle Stables for the past 8 months. We have been very happy with the quality and thoroughness of the teaching. They have made a lot of progress so far and we look forward to continuing. The horses there are also great and we love working with them each week.

My kiddo and her friends had a great time learning about equestrian care, safety and riding. The horse whispers were fantastic and super engaging for the kids!

Went on a carriage ride a few months ago, and just went on a sleigh ride last weekend. Heberle Stables is great and Id highly recommend them! The drivers are friendly and professional, and the horses seem to be happy and well cared for. Both rides went through the beautiful Ellison park, and it was scenic and peaceful. They had a camp fire going where you could wait, which was nice. I look forward to booking a future sleigh or carriage ride with them.

The trail ride my mom and I took her was fantastic. Going in late May, we experienced the perfect weather. It was somewhat pricy for an hour ride, but it was most certainly worth it! definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area and want to ride horses.

A very nice time. I took a group of Scouts for a sleigh ride and they loved it. The people were very accommodating to the size of our group and we while we took turns on the ride the others got to hang out by the campfire and enjoy some hot chocolate

We gifted this experience to our kids for Christmas. Not enough snow for the sleigh but the kids didnt mind a bit. The carriage was able to go down into the park on the paved path. Everyone was very nice. This was a fun Christmas present but also would be special for a winter birthday!

We had an incredible experience at Heberle Stables! We enjoyed meeting Buddy, Lucy and Jade (the horses) and our guide, Will, was kind, professional, and great with the animals. I take lessons here every week and the lessons are so much fun. The teachers are always helpful and friendly and the horses are all very great. Herberle stables is a great choice for horse riding lessons and i strongly recommend them.

Took my wife for a Birthday surprise. She loved seeing the horses and was never on a carriage ride. It was a nice ride through the historic park. People would wave to us as we rode by. Hope to come back someday.

We had a wonderful carriage ride through Ellison Park with Jake, Cole & Buddy. Jake was dressed in vintage time period clothes which made it even more cool. My grandson LOVED getting to pet and talk to the horses Cole and Buddy. It was an amazing, memorable day for us.

What a beautiful ride through the park, fresh fallen snow, the trees were dusted with it, breathtaking. The driver was so nice and the horse was a sweetheart. Totally recommend.

This wasa valentines gift for my dad and his girlfriend - both in their 80s .They loved it! They were so excited to get out, it was a beautiful day, and they loved the nostalgia of it. The drivers were dressed with the long black coat and top hats. The sleighs were classic. The horses are beautiful and friendly. Everything and everyone at Herberles is friendly, warm and inviting -especially with the bon fire! Just wish they had hot chocolate that day. Now I have to buy a fall foliage carriage ride for my dad and his girl!

Summer camp at Heberle Stables is the best! The counselors are amazing with the kids and its great to see how much fun they have learning about horses and riding in just one week. My daughter never wants the week to end!

I used to ride at heberle 3 years ago. I rode there for 6 years and had 8 different instructors. The instructors were, Shana, Emily, Elena, Alana, Eva, Katrina, Heather and Sierra. They all taught me something different and they all were amazing! I miss all the great memories and amazing horses. I grew up at heberle and will never forget or regret it. It taught me a lot off the stuff I know today. The people I grew up around there helped me become the amazing rider I am today. Some of the horses I grew up on were, pepper, nutty buddy, midge, Rosie, Wilson, April, woody, sassy, Jack, Bailey, Maizy, Raleigh, dolly, belle, Cesar and tony the pony! I will never forget these horses for I owe them the world

Pete & Jade were majestic & very well mannered. Will was almost as pleasant as the horses lol. As we took our carriage ride, he informed us about the interesting history of the stables, the horses & his family home. The park was beautiful at night, & it was warm under the blankets despite the snow covering (not enough for the sleigh though darn it!). The horses’ clip clop & sleigh bells made it so relaxing. Missed having a fire (wet wood). All in all, wonderful, unique experience. Will definitely go back for another ride (sleigh, carriage or by horse). Thank you to Heather for being so accommodating. Fun ride through Ellison Park on Christmas Eve! Would love to follow a different path back than we took going out, but that could have been weather related (mud puddles). Could improve by offering kids a candy cane or something healthier before or after. Could also have heat packs for pockets! Thank you!

Awesome ride w gorgeous horses — great time!

Honestly my daughter and her friends were very disappointed. When I received the phone call offering the carriage ride instead of the sleigh ride due to the warm weather, I was told the carriage ride was typically more expensive and a better experience so I would be getting a better deal with the carriage ride. I wish I would have postponed and waited for the snow to arrive for the sleigh ride as planned. I felt like I was promised something that clearly didn’t happen. The ride was only 25 minutes vs the 30 minutes and mostly in the mud. The time spent through Ellison Park was very short. I feel the $110 plus booking fees were a waste of money, very disappointing.

I have been riding here for 3 years and I absolutely love this barn. The trainers are keen on helping you improve in how you ride and how you work with the horses. The trails through Ellison are beautiful and the guides are very friendly. Its great to see all the kids having so much fun during summer camp but also learning. I strongly recommend this barn if you want to learn and grow in the horse world.

Having ridden with many barns in the state, this barn is one of the main reasons why I still reside in Rochester. Our trail guide Paige was so helpful and friendly and anyone we encountered on the property was so accommodating!Four of us went out at 1pm today and we rode horses Phill, Dan, Zebb and Pete- we had such a great time!I will definitely be back, I loved spending time with the horses, riding through the park and then walking through the stables meeting the other 50+ horses at the stable.5 stars, awesome experience!!

My daughter has ridden, lessoned, horse showed & boarded 2 horses here for the last 3 years after moving to Rochester. We have found the barn well managed, clean, safe, horses well fed & clean, everyone friendly & helpful. Last spring after not riding for a decade plus I took Rosie for a trail ride. She was very well behaved & safe. The park is beautiful.

Do yourself a favor and take someone you love on a sleigh ride! My family took me for my 50th birthday and I couldnt have asked for anything more beautiful! We went in the evening and everything was perfect! From gliding along the creek, to the super warm blankets to the jingle bells on the beautiful well cared for horse! Perfect! I have been riding at Heberles for a long time and have loved every moment of it. The lesson program is equipped to help riders of all ages to be competitive riders, learn new skills, and accomplish goals. The trail rides are well managed with excellent horses and staff, as well as the carriage rides. The horses are all given individual attention and very well cared for. Heather and Margie also do a wonderful job of creating a supportive barn atmosphere.

We were very disappointed that our ride was cancelled. We had prepared for the most freezing weather but not for the weather being too nice. Turned out it was in the 50s. Heberle cancelled saying the mud was too much of a problem due to the rain. But, it hadnt rained that much and hadnt been raining since the night before. Our ride time was at 5 pm the next day. Conditions where I live, in Greece, were not sloppy in the least. I get that Ellison Park can be sloppy but this seemed uncalled for. Not to mention that they cancelled via email. Didnt even bother to call us. If I hadnt checked my email, we wouldve showed up with our out of town guests to a closed stable. When I called, they said they would re-book it for the next day (not sure how one day wouldve cleared up that bad of a muddy situation) but we were bringing people who were visiting briefly for Xmas and had planned the carriage ride to take place before a night out to dinner. We didnt have time the next day and our guests were leaving the day after that. So all around, seemed like they cancelled (rudely) without the weather being that bad, so I think they dont value their customers very much.

We had the most wonderful time. Our driver was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The ride was picturesque! My mother had always wanted to go on a sleigh ride, and this ride fulfilled a life long dream! Thank you!

I recently booked a sleigh ride at heberle stables. The weather unfortunately didn’t cooperate and there wasn’t enough snow. I had family in from out of town and I was nervous about what to do since there wasn’t snow. Heberle stables was so gracious and kindly offered to do a carriage ride in place of the sleigh ride. It was hands down the best experience I have ever had. We took a beautiful ride through Ellison park. The carriage and the horses were gorgeous. The driver was so friendly and professional! My guests and I were so thrilled with our experience that one of the guests booked the carriage for her wedding in the spring! Thank you so much to heberle stables horses and staff for such an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. I can’t wait to go back!

As a fellow barn owner in the area, I can say hands down that I recommend the Heberles on a regular basis when my stable is not the right fit for an incoming client. Margie, and the rest of the staff know the ins and outs of each horse. Their lives revolve around the business and doing their best to make everyome happy .They are accommodating, kind, and have fair prices .They strive for professionalism and make the horses well being their first priority. Im proud to have grown so close to this facility over the years.

I have been riding there for a year by instructor was Shana Shapiro she was amazing but she went off to collage and I get a new instructor she yelled at me for smiling while I wasnt smiling its first the birthday party kids are all over the place not moving out of the way because I was bringing in horse in and they have so many trucks it gets annoying. Another thing is that the dogs can run around the arena anytime they want it was terrible

This place isn’t the best. Daughter rode there for a few years and rode 11 years in her life. Only got up to 2 foot, never advanced. Even after doing so much, other kids who worked everyday got privileged because they did something she couldn’t because me and her father never had the time to drive her there everyday. You HAVE to have your own horse to jump higher than 2 foot, but some families do not have that money to pay the boarding feeding and vet bills. They very much favorite their riders who own horses so then they can get their reputations up. Not a good lesson place at all!!!!! So glad we switched barns.

As a first time rider Will made it easy. The horses are nothing like tv horses. Thoses horses are very big and calm. It is something I would do again there.

Many of the people at this barn are extremely rude. which is a shame, because this seems like it would be a great stable but unfortunately many of the girls here are extremely stuck up and mean.
