My 3 years at john adams werent so bad , I didnt like some of my teachers throughout my years there but Im now a freshmen and I couldnt be more happier😂. Good luck to the kids there and the upcoming ones🙌🏼

Its My First Year There And The Teachers Arent So Bad!

My son is going to middle school next year so I went to check out the school for the first time ,coming to John Adams I thought I will talk to principal like we agree but I did not counselor came and show me around the school .Principal did not won’t come and introduced herself at all. Going around the school I do like the school but I don’t like the workers at all .My son is going to receive IEP SERVICES and also teacher are not enable at all to talk to you.So my experience with John Adams was disappointing .People if your kid need special attention this is not the school for you child

Ive been here for two years and I seriously want to leave so badly, the staff sucks way too much, and they dont do crap if people gang up on you at lunch or something.Edit for new students:Welcome to hell! The things youll experience are: major depression! A wanting to die! Anxiety! Feeling your hopes slowly crumble! Unless, of course, youre popular! Then youll have: multiple fights! People hating you! And being treated like shit from other students! We hope that you have the least amount of fun here as you can! This place is shaped and looks like a prison! This is also the place that you see who your friends really are! You will lose most of the people you have called best friends to your worst enemies! But there is a few people who will make hell a slight bit better, but say goodbye to everyone else!

I gave it 2 stars for the teachers alone. Otherwise the food is terrible and the staff are kinda mean. Not trying to hate on the school but there is a lot of stuff bad about it and I cannot really recommend it because of that. It is a very negative place outside of the classroom but inside the classroom itbis pretty good. A good teacher in every class and they are pretty smart and good but the principal was mean. And he shaved his head and went bald after getting dreadlocks to copy Mr Naatz 9ne of the cool teacher and then shaved his head. JA needs to fix these problems otherwise a cool place to hang with friends and you usually learn stuff because the teachers are good

Not too bad. Stick out, theres some crappy teachers. High school will be alot better than this.

This school is fairly ok, the staff (teachers) are very helpful and mostly nice! My only problem with this school is the administration needs to do more! JA was out of control this year and they need to get things sorted out whether it’s getting mrs.mcdonald out of there I don’t know, but it’s not a great learning place when you got kids harassing principals it’s not ok at a school. And the school needs to have no tolerance, they need to crack down on bad behavior because it’s out of control! It’s a great school but hopefully it gets cleaned up, good luck, stick out and you should be fine but don’t get in the bad fighting crowd because that is a bad crowd!

Soooooo im on my last year here and I am so thankful. Okayyy the bathrooms are disgusting. I once walked into a stall on the main floor and period blood was just all over the place, and there is also a bathroom stall on the bottom level that literally cant even close and be locked. The lockers are small and abusive. My locker gave one of my friends a big scar because its so old and sharp. Made me look like i cut myself it scratched me so many times oml. Its very safe to say that i have learned very little there, as the teachers are trash and the staff are even worse. I have to throw shade at Mr. Ohm for a minute because his voice has one tone (Siri has more enthusiasm than him) and he talked more about his son than he does actually teaching math, and he sucks at that as well. Half the people there student and teacher wise are ether mean, fake or just plain suck. The only things i enjoy is lunch, the fights (which are actually pretty good. The whole 8th grade got into a fight last year) and once and a while a good teacher. I honestly only think the good people are Mr. Dwire, Ms. C, Mr. Mcrea, and a few other amazing souls but thats it. Being in this place makes me actually more dumb and a bit suicidal, and i would definitely not recommend sending someone here. My brothers use to call is J- Junior A- Asylum and it truly lives up to that nick name.I have to throw a little shade at Mr. Prebe (Im sure thats not actually how you spell his name). He is the mOST cancerous, rude, racist and over all baddest person in the whole school and personally that i have met. I cant tell how many times ive literally just looked at him and wanted to punch his ugly self. My bus driver even hates him. I have literally met not one person in that school that likes him that is a student or lower staff member. When you do the littlest things he has to have like a 2 hour conversation about it, which in the end you never win because hes the assistant principal and he has more power than you. Talk about power trip. I award this school 0 points and i hope it some how burns down even if its brick. Im happy to be leaving this hell. Ja you can kiss my ass.(:

I am a student at this school and it was the worst 3 years of my life, and im not even done there. There are a few funny teachers, but the chances youll get one are about 1 to 100. I didnt experience much, bullying, but it was definitely there. This school is also one of the most, if not the most ghetto middle school in Rochester, and the people going there are no better. There are the okay people, but then there are the people who live in the four-plexes and trailer parks, sharing a studio apartment with 12 other families of 16, living of the 50 cent ramen packages from the dollar store, then there are the rich white kids who make me cringe so hard i want to claw my eyes out and light the empty sockets on fire with their binders with straps, their snowpants and Quarry Hill 11 boots, long hair with a terrible dye job thats greasier than the school pizza! And the food is the worst kind of torture than anyone has ever been subjected to! Im not even sure if you can call it food! The only good thing is that you can count on a pretty entertaining fight almost every year. 0/10

I am going to ja next year and I would really like if you would teach people who dont kno how to swim, how to swim. And also if u would make a soccer club or something I luv luv soccer

The teachers are nice but the students are of the chain, and when I say students I didn’t mean all of them, because there are some good students too.

As a student here, i really dislike this school. There are alot of bullies here, and i really hate it. Teachers are okay, but its the students here that makes the experience bad. I really hope they get the bullying thing sorted out next year. Dont really recommend.

The students are petty as hell, and fake as hell. If you dont fit in with the right people, you get bullied for it.

Cant even play league of legends bad game 0/10

Great staff. kids are terrible and threaten and fight for the dumbest reasons, itd be safer for other kids mentally and physically if those kids were kept away.

This school,,,, is the reason i hate my life,,, teachers are absolutely horrible except for One and that was 3 years ago i had her,. everyone is so mean . plus the food tastes like a burnt leather shoe deep fried in horse diarrhea. and that lumberjack of a teacher just makes me s o mad i swear and then in 7th grade there was the grinch and she made me want to dissect my brain instead of the frogs and this school is just absolutely the worst and i 11/10 do not recommend bUT the fights are bomb

TBH I didnt like it hear at all the kids are fricken mean.....and the teachers do nothing to help the lunch is crap to my 3 years at JA are 3 years Ill never get back I mean the school literally looks like a prison on the outside and what are the first to letters of jail....JA!!!some teachers were nice though but it was such a small amount that it shouldnt even count.some kids were nice to but as the years went on most turned into even bigger a-holes.....

Disclaimer: This is based on my experiences from when I was at JA for three year, Im in high school now.Ah, John Adams middle school. I have so many stuff (some good, mostly bad) to say about this school, but Ima keep it short.Man, John Adams is the reason why I hate literally everyone. 7th grade was the worst imo. Literally everyone wanted to fight me, my iPod got stolen, everyone made my 7th grade year a living hell. But what did the principal and the other staffs do? They basically pushed it off and got ME in trouble even tho I didnt do stuff (gave me ISS for defending myself from a person who literally hit me smh). 7th grade affected me personally, and no one, not even the counselor at that time help me. Im still recovering from what those girls did to me, and they still did stuff to me in 8th grade, but no staff helped me. Enough with the sob story tho, most students sucked,I didnt like most teachers and staff except for a few, and the whole school stinks (like literally lmao). I really hope this school improves, but I doubt it will.TL;DR: my mom shouldve transferred me to Kellogg middle school, and Im praying for the people that goes to this school .

I have a friend that used to go here. Now shes over at St. John because this school has lots of bullying.

Changed my life and my whole learning before i found my old middle school a struggle intill john adams taught me new things that i have never learned
