Angelo State University has a terrible on campus housing program. The roommate matching service is a joke. I like to keep the room cold and my roommate likes it hot. It’s one simple request that I wanted a roommate who likes it cold. Another problem I had was during the COVID pandemic I stayed on for summer housing and instead of keeping students safe and allowing them to have one or 2 people per room they cram them to full capacity.Carr Hall is a joke. It is very outdated and is not suitable for students. When I moved in it was not clean there was dirt on the carpet and dead bugs on the inside of window. I emailed them because I was genuinely connected about the cleanliness of the room due to them allowing COVID workers to say in the hall. They informed me it has been cleaned when it clearly was not. The shower is about 3ft by 3ft. I can’t even wash my hair without hitting my arms against the wall. To top it off there is no AC controls in the room. This is a big problem because West Texas gets very hot around 110 on a normal day. They keep the AC at about 75. The staff do not care about any maintenance problems. A beeping alarm went off around 5am and has not stopped since. When I call the RA they said there was nothing they could do.They do not care about you they only want your money.
