Three of my kids have gone through Kumon. This program has helped them so much throughout elementary, middle and high school. Getting my children to do their work was hard, but in the long run they improved a ton in their math skills.

We are the proud parents of two wonderful girls who have been attending Kumon of Bernal Heights for the last five years. They currently attend a small parochial school in the neighborhood. Back then, Common Core was being introduced into our school as well as other area schools too. Unsure of the Common Core Standard, we then made the decision to invest in their future and supplement their math skills with the Kumon program to ensure their long-term development. At first, it wasn’t easy for the girls to adjust to daily Kumon work on top of regular school homework and projects. However, Mr. Kei Arita and Gloria Yang helped them make the transition much easier. After some time, the girls were ahead of their math-class level giving them confidence. As a result, their school grades and standardized testing results improved greatly.Today, my oldest daughter is in eighth grade and in the process of finding a high school. Kumon was definitely instrumental in her performance in the high school entrance exams allowing her to consider the best private, public and parochial schools the city has to offer. My younger daughter is following her sister’s footsteps. She is currently excelling in school and her standardized testing has been great putting her in a good position for high school too.All in all, not only did Kumon help our daughters with math, it gave them the confidence to excel in other subjects. The daily homework helped them learn commitment and build grit while allowing them to experience their progress through different math levels. We strongly believe these qualities will help our daughters throughout their high school and college experiences and throughout the rest of their lives. We are sincerely grateful to Mr. Kei, Gloria and Kumon for the valuable experience.

I love Kumon! The work is hard, but my math has improved SOOOO much. Mr. K (or Kei, I dont know what ones correct) is incredibly helpful, kind and funny. I enjoy Kumon very much.

I really have nothing but great things to say about this program. Mr. k is an awesome person, I started bringing my son when he was in fourth/fifth grade because he was miserably failing and grades were down. being in a classroom of 30 it is so easy for kids to fall through the cracks... When he got tested we were shocked to learn my son was nowhere near where he was supposed to be according to his grade level. we got him started and all the practice homework he did, and testing to move on to the next level helped him catch up. I couldnt be any happier....I pulled him out because he moved to a charter school that is far from home and he gets off late, he has asked me to go back to Kumon because its starting to get challenging in 8th grade with the pre-algebra. So we will see Mr. K soon!! I highly recommend Kumon.Just remember practice makes perfect, that is why you get so much homework!! repetition, repetition until you get it...

I hate it so much . They give you to much homework and you HAVE to do it . It ruins your fun time a lot !!!!!!! Do not enroll the kids here if they are at least 8 and older .
