I went to St. Anthonys back in the mid 70s and its changed so much but yet still the same. I have so many fond memories of fellow classmates that Im still friends with and remember some of the teachers I had like my 3rd grade Mrs. Fontainella, 2nd grade Mrs. Hopkins and 1st grade Sister Mary. I will always cherish the great memories St Anthonys gave me. St. Anthonys is a great school and I am so happy to see they are still around.

Due to my sons special needs, we needed an integrated school with a strong sense of wholeness for me to feel comfortable leaving him there. I found myself dissatisfied with the public school district.(bullying, lack of proper supervision, missed lunches etc.) Thus, taking him out and beginning my search for private school. So, after touring ALL of the Catholic schools in SF and most in San Mateo county, concurrently having my son attend a very prestigious $1200 per month private school in S.F. I found a gem hidden in between Bernal Heights and the Mission SAIC St. Anthony-Immaculate Conception school. In addition to being VERY affordable from $250-600 per month depending on Financial aide need,This school has been a true blessing. The staff both administrative and educational have been very receptive to our needs and have made the transition to providing an inclusive educational system for my son very smooth. Now, my son at times can be challenging (highly intelligent) yet sometimes defiant yet the school still has worked with us as a family and on individual levels to work through our barriers. They go above and beyond my expectations the Sisters of the Dominican faith along with the teachers have taught us a level of empathy unimaginable which has helped my son become a better student and brother, friend and student.Academics: My son started doing division in first grade here at SAIC! His third grade class has him learning social justice, chapter books, writing essays and brainstorming! In addition to memorizing and understanding his multiplication up to the 11s. They challenge him to his full potential , and leave no room for boredom. I am extremely satisfied with this school and will be enrolling my other son As soon as he reaches age.THANK YOU SAIC STAFF FOR ALL YOU DO!
