We have been a part of this school community since our son was in Littlest Angels Preschool, he is now in the third grade. The community at St. Paul Elementary is one of a kind. We have an incredibly engaged faculty right up to the Principal. It is a place where I feel relaxed knowing my child is there. The closeness of the community extends to all grades and not just of the grade my child is in. There are so many fun events that bring everyone together and keep the community close.Tolerance, acceptance, and diversity are the other reasons that make this school the best, in my book.

Alright, so when I was younger my family decided I should go to this school.Everything was good up until the point when they found out I had ADD.The teachers decided it would be best to put me in a small corner of the room, away from all they other students. They would consistently tutor me, even if I new the work well. This went on for some time until my parents decided to remove me from this..thing they call a school. Maybe people had better experiences at this school. I know I didnt.

Some of the teachers were unfair and mean. Not to mention an extreme bias between male and female students, with female students not being held accountable for their actions if inappropriate behavior is in play. Classes such as PE, cooking, and Spanish arent executed well. Especially Spanish, where homework is forgotten to be collected, being made to use Google Translate, and tests(not pop quizzes, full tests) dropped on you with any preparation whatsoever. Students are put down by being told that they are some of the worst students a teacher has worked with, even if they make a small, fixable mistake. What I just mentioned were secondary classes. Science and technology are two extremely unorganized classes. With science, notes are forgotten to be collected, due dates are mixed up that result in missing assignments, and directions arent given clearly. With technology, help with the subject isnt given enough for students to succeed, the same lesson is taught over and over again which prevents academic growth, and time frames for projects are too short. Theres a class that feels boring and repetitive for students, and its English. English isnt a bad class. It is organized and directions are clear, but it is boring. Each class has the same routine without any differences. The same things are taught each year, so if you do good one year, you basically passed the other years of English class yet to come. At least homework, quizzes, and tests arent the only things your grade is based on. Students do essays with prompts, speeches, and group work to exercise other skills needed in high school and college. Despite all the things I pointed out so far, there is some good. There are some good teachers such as the eighth grade and music teacher to name a few. There are fun projects and field trips that students partake in. One issue across most classes are the outdated textbooks. The textbooks havent been updated since 2003. As of me typing this, it has been sixteen years since the books had been updated. In the science books, Pluto is still a planet. In the history books, George W. Bush is considered the latest president. The community is nice and has nice people. Although this is nice, there is one question left to be answered. Is it worth it? Before that is answered, you must take the cost into consideration. The tuition per child is fairly expensive. One child in the school would be alright, but two or more is when it gets pricey. The tuition sucks money from the bank accounts of parents. If that wasnt enough, there are extra costs. For younger grades, you pay a fee for each child to be given supplies. For third grade and up, you buy the supplies. There is a lot on the supply list. The cost for all the supplies can be a bit much. Even if you reuse supplies from previous years, it is still pricey. Another cost to take into consideration is lunch. You can pack a lunch, but some parents dont have the time to. You can preorder lunch for your child, but it isnt worth it. The lunches are expensive, for you also have to pay separately for a drink, snack, and fruit/veggie. Plus, the lunches arent even good. They taste pretty bad or taste very bland. The meals are microwaved and keeped in a heater all day. The food is claimed to be healthy, but it has as much sodium as your average microwaved meal. Another cost is daycare. Daycare is a place where you can have your child stay before and or after school. The daycare is pretty good, but the price racks up after a while. You are charged for each child and how long they spend in daycare. On top of all of this the school asks for money through fundraisers. You dont have to partake in the fundraisers, but, if you choose to just know the fundraisers arent always worth it. Is it worth it? That is up to you. I hope any parents that are considering enrolling their child(ren) see this, for it was made by an ex student. I also hope St. Pauls could see this so they can improve upon any issues mentioned, and create a better learning experience for their students.

From my experience, all I can say is that if youve done enough bad stuff the principal just comes from you. People dont learn how to take a joke. They try to force Christianity, and of course they punish unfairly. Take your kid elsewhere.
