San Francisco Ballet is great! The opera house is an incredible venue. The company explores new realms of creativity through their productions. Always fantastic one of the most unique if not the most unique ballet company in the world. Each season brings a diverse and varied selection of performances! Greatly enjoy their premieres!

I was able to see a rehearsal of the new Sleeping Beauty production - lush costumes and sets, beautiful, exciting dancing and gorgeous music. Dont miss this production - so familiar yet new! Enjoy!

I really like the place and the overall vibe. People here are very talented and welcoming to beginners. I would really like them to be more flexible with class hours. Thanks!

I attended the 2012 Nutcracker recently with my children. We had not been to Nutcracker in about 4 years. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the set design , the choreography , costumes, lighting, live orchestra and the dancers and character actors.San Francisco has such a wonderful Ballet Company ! The War Memorial Opera House is beautiful too ! It was a joy to see once again and has in the past been a Family Tradition which we will continue again.I highly recommend visiting the Opera house with your family and/or attending one of the fine S.F. Ballet Co. performances

The adult ballet program is not for working professionals and I wholeheartedly recommend you go to the 3 other major dance studios in SF (Academy of Ballet, Alonzo King, ODC Dance) that have cheaper prices, more time availabilities, and more flexibility in arrival times. They are not accommodating to working peoples schedules. They only have 6 PM classes on the weekdays and they refuse to let you in people after 6:10. Even if you commute over an hour to get there, if you arrive at 6:12 they wont let you in, even if you told them you stretched beforehand (happened to me). Plus, the school location is a 10-15 minute walk from the subway so its not very convenient to get to if you dont have a car. Even if you have a car, the area is a bit sketchy and its hard to find parking.Yes every studio has a cut off time, but theyre usually understandable and lenient and let you go in anyway, as long as you stretch a little bit beforehand, which is totally reasonable. Its because other studios get it, if youre working full-time, sometimes work comes up and you arrive a little bit later than usual. And unlike Alonzo King Dance Center which lets you cancel up to 30 minutes beforehand for a full refund (great for unexpected work situations), the SF ballet has a 24 hour policy, which does not accommodate last minute work schedule changes.I love ballet and Im so glad Im picking it up again as an adult. However, Im going to the Academy of Ballet, ODC Dance, or Alonzo King for my ballet classes as those studios are way more flexible about when you arrive to class (within reason of course), have more class availability times, and just as high-quality teachers for adult ballet students. Plus the other studios have cheaper prices as well.

I enjoy going to the Nutcracker every year with my family but lately Ive been disappointed with the staff. Attitudinally they seem out of place and soemtimes provide misinformation. The last time I was there I excused myself to the restroom. The person at the door said I had enough time and to back through the top floor. When I tried to go back no one would let me in until intermission causing me to miss half the show, almost ruining an important night for me.Production and performers are great. Staff needs some improvement.

Astonishing! The leaps and twirls the dancers produced was amazing. The children that performed were wonderful and trained very well.

I took my daughter to the Nutcracker show on Dec. 28th and the performance was awesome. But when we finally heart the familiar tune of Sugar Plum Fairy the dancer was---- transformed Clara?!!! How disappointing!
