This is a fantastic program. I have met many graduates that has a special kind of pose and confidents. If you want to help your child set themselves apart enroll them and watch them bloom.

I learned to actually act in Barbizon. They taught me commercials, modeling, and most importantly: being able to do a performance, even just a small one, in front of a crowd. I made amazing friends. They even invited me to come to Hollywood for a commercial audition. Still continuing to practice by myself, thanks to Barbizon.

My parents put me in Barbizon when I a kid. I was so shy wouldnt talk to anyone, even my aunts and uncles. I took classes again when I was a teenager because braces + puberty = low self esteem. Wow, what a change. I was crippling shy but Barbizon made me feel comfortable and confident. I ended up going to Showcase, some agents were interested in me. I did a couple print shoots but decided it wasnt my passion. Fast forward years later I took my niece to a Barbizon try out. She has a big personality at home, is beautiful and has tons of talent but lacks confidence as well. The Barbizon program taught her everything she needed to know about the industry and now shes a working model. She signed to an agency and now does print work like catalogues for LL Bean!!!! Some of the teachers at Barbizon SF that taught my niece actually taught me too! They are so amazing, inspiring and nice. They truly care about each and everyone one of their students.

This is one of the best things you can give your child. Learning to be poissed and confidence building for all children. My experience was with Joy and she is a wonderfully person taking care of all our issues promptly. Joy is amazing.

We had the pleasure of meeting Ms Blake, (my Sons talent Director ) She was warm, extremely knowledgeable, and more over made my son who struggles with shyness and self confidence- just the incredible confidence boost he needed. He is a very sensitive and creative chap, I am so pleased we are accepted into an amazing opportunity that I know will harness his skills and develop more of his self-confidence. This is one of the most important gifts we can arm our children with. He is soo excited! Thanks Blake, and thanks Barbizon!

Great program for self improvement mostly. Not a place go be discovered. The thing is, everything is extremely outdated. The company in general needs a revamp globally. The history of barbizon is actually amazing, Im surprised they dont push that more. I dont think its necessarily a scam, the layout is just so olden timey. The all of their promo videos seem to be taped on VHS. Also the training for their employees make it seem like a scam since they make them come off like telemarketers and work off commision, so of course they are pushy and make promises.

I am so shocked that all these people are saying that Barbizon is aScam. Heres my experience. So I was recruited in the mall eating a burrito. Surprising right, I am an average teenager who gets pimples and looks unattractive, but I did have an advantage I am a twin. When I was talking to her she said we had a once in a lifetime opportunity. SO we book for a time even though at first my twin and my grandma(who I live with) didnt want to go and said that they werent going to spend any money. She said, just be prepared to walk out when they say it cost money.SO we traveled to SF Barbizon from Bart since I lived in San Leandro. When we got there we didnt even know how to ring the doorbell. Once we got up there we saw that we were the only boys and we were the oldest ones. Before we got the Workshop or audition Ms, Shawnte AKA Ms. Shawn said that the industry needs more twins just like us. So that made us feel confident. Once we were in the Workshop we saw the video and they had some pretty famous people. Now, I read some comments that were like they have no updated video but the video had the most famous people. It had actors and actresses that I knew so I would say that its pretty updated from like the early 2000s see Im 15 so if I knew the people its pretty updated. Then it was time to walk me and my brother had so little confidence that I wanted to go with my twin but they made us go separately. Then it was the interview and my talent agent was so nice and was one of the top people there who was so poppin she traveled all around the world almost every weekend. So I was honored to have her. She was so nice we couldnt pay for it all so my director paid some of our tuitions. Now, about the price, these people over exaggerate on how much it is. Its only 2,500 per person. We only paid 3,000 for the both of us. That was only because the many leadership we have done and the way we walk even though we sucked at walking we were one of the best ones.So now we are official students now what? You go to class, you evaluate others and how you can improve yourself every time, make connections, read the book a lot (i read it 4 times) practice, practice, practice, not just at school but I practiced at least 2 hours Monday-Friday. Then you start to recognized by everyone and I mean everyone. Even the staff was talking to us and now once I go back to take my headshots there Im going to have an internship there. Not just anyone can get an internship there.Everyone was saying that I need to be in an agency and that what the journey is now. My life was halted for a little bit when my Dad passed but Im getting in the shape of things again and Im going to be in an agency. So yeah is it pricey? Kinda of. Is the Staff great there? Yes. Will it change your life? Yes. But only to those who step into this with your best foot forward and do what they tell you, they are the ones that become the big leagues.

I want to post a positive review because I think they deserve a positive review! My daughter, now 12 years old went to Barbizon! At that time she was 10! At this school, you learn a lot about the modeling business, how to perform, how to present yourself, to stand up for yourself, the basics in modeling and more...they give you opportunities to do auditon for Agencies and get familiar with that. A little negative point is the amount you have to pay, to attent this school is very high in my opinion and I really think that the time frame of making a decision is to short! After my daughter did audition for Barbizon, we had to say yes or no in 10 minutes because otherwise they will give your spot to somebody else..thats to short in my opinion. In my opinion, they have to mention the costs before you do audition and then you can make a more fair and a less under pressure, decision. I dont know if this has changed in the last 2 years! When we decided to say yes; we did this without expectations! We wanna to let our daughter grow, feel confident and strong and I really think this school helpt her a lot! I also think that if you go to this school, you are responsible to go after all of your success! This school doesnt provide you an Agency contract! You have to be active and self exploring and yes...if your son or daughter is successful then it will pay off but dont expect results within the school period! The crew and teachers are very FRIENDLY and cooperative! We still have contact and they are curious how de kids are doing after graduating the school! Also, at any time, you can attent school again for acting, or other courses. At the end of the school period; students get the change to do audition for the Hollywood Showcase. This is a 4 days event in Hollywood were important Agencies are coming from all over the world! My daughter was choosen at the end of the show and she got two offers ( contracts ) with Agencies in LA. Because LA is very far from San Jose and after a long period of thinking, we didnt take it but after 2 years, we ended up with a GREAT Agency in San Francisco for our daughter and also our son!!! So what I mean by this is; you have to see Barbizon as a step up, to start with in this business! Give yourself time and explore the entertainment world. Let your child start with Barbizon and grow from there!Good luck everyone if you have to make the decision but; choose for yourself and not for others! Succes is inside yourself and you have to go after it ; its not only given!🍀
