Ive had the pleasure to work with miss Serena Tsang. She is truly an expert in her field and the way she takes care of her clients children and empowers them is nothing like Ive ever seen any other childcare centre provide. She has my highest recommendation. If you are looking for not only a place to take care of your kids, but to equip them with amazing skills and mindset, visit this centre. You will not be disappointed.

We are so lucky to have found Barbara. We looked at 10+ childcare facilities when choosing a school for our first-born. It’s always so hard to trust your child to someone you don’t know. Barabara was the last school we looked at. She literally ended our search. It was so clear from talking to her and seeing the difference in her facility that we jumped at the chance to get in. We literally called her five minutes after our meeting with her ended to say we wanted to come – it was that clear to us. We’ve sent both of our kids to Barbara and here’s why:They are prepared for preschool emotionally and academically: Barbara does such a good job of preparing the kids for their next step. When both of our kids entered preschool, the teachers always remarked how prepared they were; they knew how to be students and how to follow the rules and the days’ schedule. We recently spoke to our son’s pre-k4 teacher who said our son is the only one to proactively clean up his lunch and sleeping bag when he’s done. My wife and I cannot take credit for that. It’s all Barbara. Another thing that has come up is how our son is quick to find a tissue and comfort crying kids at school. He also learned that emotional intelligence at Barbara’s.She cares: In all of the tours that we took selecting a childcare provider, there were some providers who you felt were in childcare because it was sort of a fallback plan. Barbara was a teacher in Hong Kong. This is what she wants to do. She cares for your child like her own. When we took a trip with our child, she gave us some tips and things to keep him occupied on the plane trip. How many other providers are that thoughtful?The perfect facility: After having toured tons of providers, we saw it all. Huge daycares with 50+ kids, small facilities with 2-5 kids. Some facilities were depressing (underground, no light, no outdoor space, too small) others felt too institutional (too big, chaotic, no sense of personality). Barbara’s space is perfect. Enough room, stations for the kids, tons of art supplies, books, puzzles, toys, outdoor space, and easy parking (don’t discount the importance of that last one).The kids are always active and getting outside: Barbara is always getting the kids out and about. First off, she has a great backyard for some exercise and gardening. They also head out to the park all the time and go for walks in the neighborhood. They go to the library, museum, and pumpkin patch.Great food: Barbara has put together a great nutritional program with her daughter who runs their facility on Silver Ave. Barbara plants food in their yard with the kids that they end up being able to eat. She teaches them about nutrition, and how cool is it to have farm-to-table that the kids actually contributed to!We have sent three families to her facility and more are on the way: We think so highly of our time at Barbara’s that we’ve sent over a number of families who enrolled and will be continuing to make recommendations to anyone and everyone we know. And by the way, she was awarded the Family Child Care Provider Champion by the San Francisco Children’s Council so it’s not just us that think highly of Barbara.She has become family: Lastly, and importantly, Barbara has become family. Even though our kids are older and have aged out, we still get together with Barbara and some of the other families. She has created a community.One little thing to note. Neither one of us speak Cantonese. If you don’t either, don’t let that dissuade you from Brilliant Kids. The advantages of bilingualism are well studied and will absolutely benefit your child.I can’t say enough good things about Barbara. If you are reading this review, you are at least considering Brilliant Kids Daycare. You should not hesitate to enroll your child at Brilliant Kids. Your family will benefit so much. It will be one of the best decisions you’ll make.
