Nobody knows anything and everyone points to another. Tried refinancing my house and had to wait on HUD for clarification on documentation. They don’t respond. They don’t have a known contact. You have to try some back channel communication in order to find the right person. Then, the right person doesn’t respond. Meanwhile I’m going farther and farther in debt. Refinance should take 60-90 days. I’m sitting at well over 4 months. Still waiting on HUD.

So far not one agency in Berkeley has done anything to help the homeless situation.I am a homeless mother with a five year old. We have been homeless since 2015. We have many issues including domestic violence and serious health issues. All of these issues keep us out of shelters. If there were any shelters available. There arent any.Aside from the shelter problem, the lack of even one real dollar going to homes from homeless is the real problem. If all of the money that is being wasted on data counts and researching or discussing homelessness; was instead spent on paying for a homeless persons rent, then all the homeless would be housed.As high as rents are in Berkeley these wasted budgets could still cover rent for all of us.For myself personally, I dont want freebies and my bills paid. I want my child and I to be home, safe from abuse, warm, secure and able to heal from our nightmares. If we had a home, we could get better faster. We wouldnt be so stressed that we couldnt function. I wouldnt have to fight rats from coming and biting my baby.So to HUD, EVERYONE HOME, BERKELEY, THE HOMELESS HUB, BFHP, ALAMEDA COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES AND ALAMEDA COUNTY; Please stop wasting money and lying to everyone. Spend money on rents for us. Not on projects designed to fail. None of you have provided a single service to my child and I for 3 years. Not once.If my child dies of pneumonia out here... Or gets kidnapped by one of the many sex offenders not at the registered locations...Or forced to suffer more abuse because his father comes back...If my child has to continue living in a dirt strip, with no friends and no real happiness...Then all of you failed. I am fighting for all of our lives. Why arent you?

Nothing but positive for this review,, Last week I started to panic when my older sister and brother in law received a 60 day notice to move, elderly and disabled .clearly eligible for housing.,section 8 I had questions and needed help fast.I sent a email to this department not expecting what happened that same afternoon a reply from larry Wuerstle informing me he was going to forward my email to a different person named Mr Greg Harrick ..it must have been my lucky day ,What a kind and helpful man he has help me so much and I truly have hope for my sister and husband .With the info Mr Greg help me with .and this office isnt even our county how easy this office could have passed the buck .Thank you for doing that for us.we are greatful for your time and patience..

Watch out for these people they are the absolute complete worst they fund many programs who who are very mismanaged and discriminatory I had tried calling Larry Weisler because Ive spoken to G Hendrick who is very rude I know for a fact that that the agency I have housing through because Im disabled has been altering my personal file and making it try to reflect false things that theyre alleging I alerted Hud about this and told Larry Weisler he acted as if he was going to pull the file and try to do something about it as time went on he started to say things like Im not going to pull your whole entire file cause youve been with them for a long time then later he says Abode has done nothing wrong and you have no proof of anything not only that he tried to alter my words saying that I told him to not pull the file the funny part was is that I had him recorded and not only that I followed up with an email telling him if he continued to alter my statement I was going to consider deformation of character or some type of slandering when chasing them down on multiple occasions with HUD I have been giving multiple letters saying that abode has been found of no wrongdoing but not showing any evidence to support no wrongdoing and not only did they say this they also bullied me with them by saying I had to followin their rules but after getting my therapist to write up a letter breaking down exactly everything Abode Services has done wrong and that is discriminatory towards a person with my disability HUD wants to go trailing behind dfeh with a number complaint added in with them because they know the messed up so now theyre all trying to cover their ass

No one really has been able to help me, I am very desperate since I have a girl who is blind and we live in a motor home and we are very low-income. I want to be able to give her a better life. for the well-being of my daughter I hope to have an answer soon I am looking for a house like section 8 or something that is comfortable for my daughter since she does not look thanks blessings
