This is my sons third year at Galileo, and he absolutely loves it! He has been blessed with amazing teachers and support staff who create a fun, safe, and effective learning environment. He has developed a love for school, reading, math, and history. The other families also add value because you can feel a true sense of commitment to families supporting their students and their friends. That commitment to excellence, support, and inclusion can be seen in all areas and levels of the school and administration.

This school has been a gift for our family. Our oldest child is unmotivated gifted and learning disabled and has been able to grow in both areas because of faithful teacher and staff who are constantly rethinking the norm and are willing to try new things. Our other two children and pretty straight forward kids and they love it there!

Galileo is unlike any other school I have ever known. The care, love and attention that these children recieve is wonderful. Their style of teaching and learning was new to me, and has turned out to be just what my child needed. We have been here 3 years now and look forward to many more.

This is the best school around. During the first month of school, the teacher had the children go out in the rain (light rain no thunder & no danger at all) dig in the dirt to look for bugs that they could find. What really!!! No school out there would do this BUT Galileo did. I knew for sure this was going to be an awesome school & it has not disappointed me for the last 3 years & 2 children. Dont even think twice, this is the BEST school out there EVER!!!! Our principal (Michelle Nunez) is the BEST...she is out on the playground playing soccer during recess, running with the Cross Country team, etc. What principal does that? Our principal does, thats who! I love this school & the entire staff & faculty. Our teachers truly do care & teach each child as they need to be taught to learn & have fun while doing it. I am very proud of this school & so are my children.

I have a 6 y/o that has just completed her first yr at Galileo and will be going into the 1st grade this coming 2017-2018 school yr. Currently, we are zoned for A/B schools but I felt they were lacking the personal touch so I considered private schools and charters. We applied to several Seminole county charter schools and decided to try Galileo. Although the lottery process is frustrating in itself, we were blessed enough to get in. I dont think I could have picked a better school for my daughter. The teachers meet every child where they are at, whether thats above level or below. They understand the importance of meeting the child where the child is at in each individual subject. My daughter tested at level upon entering the school and completed the academic year well above level in all areas tested. Not only were the teachers good at academics they also focused on the social and emotional growth of the children. They understand that each child is an individual and encourage it. At the same time, they encourage independence, problem solving, and reasoning skills. Sometimes its tough to see your children struggle but in the end my daughter has developed a LOVE of learning and understands the importance of self advocacy and independence. As far as the personal touch, soon after the year began I noticed almost all the elementary teachers knew me and my daughters first and last names. The principal, counselors, and all the many staff assistances knew us as well. They hold regular parent workshops covering subjects from How to encourage your childs creativity to Social-Emotional Development. I LOVE IT!Thank you Galileo for breaking the mold of common core and striving for excellence in all that you do.

Initially we had our daughter in public school where she was able to maintain good grades, but with much more effort than we felt was age appropriate. Then we tried private school and that was a bit less pressure, but we still felt like she wasn’t reaching her full potential. We heard many great things about Galileo and decided to apply. We are SO happy that we did!!Since starting at Galileo at the end of 5th grade last year our daughter has grown leaps and bounds. She transitioned into middle school seamlessly and has blown us away with her her grades, but more importantly with her independence and motivation to succeed. She previously dispised reading, but has set a goal to read the Harry Potter series during the summer and is already half way through the second book.Every single staff member at the school knows each kid and invests in them. It is incredible! We are so proud of her and thankful for Galileo!!

Honestly the best school I’ve ever attended. I went here from 3-8th grade, and those were the most productive years of my life. Aside from the very rare exception, the teachers are great and seem to care about not only teaching kids, but also preparing us for high school. They also offer many unique activities, such as:- creative productivity (2 week long periods where a student is given a topic and makes a project about it)- mentorship opportunities with younger kids, like reading to them or being a class helper- volunteer positions that give insight into what a future career as a teacher could be likeIf I could’ve gone here for high school, I would’ve, because this school is just fantastic! The lunches were subpar, but most public schools have lunches like that, so I can’t hold it against them. Highly recommend this school for any kids in K-8!

Great school, sponsored by UCF, they believe in a newer way to learn thru project based learning and have an ability to cater to each child ability level,so if your student is strong in math they will taught at a higher level for it,poor readers get extra help and taught on their level. ITS as close as you can get to a home school education with the benefits of not being at home, lol

During my two years of expierence at galileo, it was pure h*ll I am only stating true facts here so your child wont expierence the same. We came here because it was more closer to our home and my mom didnt want to drive that much. The first thing the principle said to my mom during the tour was If your children went to a normal public school they will struggle here. And we went to a private montesorri, which had high academic skills . The first couple of weeks went by fine, I had devolped a crush, and once I had confessed my feelings he took advantge of it and started to bully me. I had reported this to the teachers and counselers but they just talked to the kid and never did anything serious. My brother was also being bullied by a kid- physicly. The teachers did nothing and so we reported it. Our last year there, there was an incedent where I was hurt serverly and I couldnt call my parents for help nor recive an ice pack. I then was accused of bullying someone because of my injury. So my parents decided that they had enough of galileo and we transferred to a diffrent school. The academics are watched closely and the teachers are kind and understanding but they dont watch closely to when a child gets hurt or if your child is getting bullied they honestly dont do anything. Sure they talk about twice a year but it doesnt stop. The food there isnt that good either, the mash potatoes are raw and hard and the chicken nuggets are still pink inside. There were also many bugs in the old building. Overall I give this one star, maybe if some people werent inrolled there and some teachers could open their eyes a bit more we could of stayed and this school would be an overall 5.
